"Ordered a blue sea item that yet again their site said was in stock and was not. I received an email days later stating that the item was not in stock and was on back order. I understand if items are not currently in stock but evidently through other reviews this is an ongoing issue with this company stating when you purchase the item that it's in stock they get your money hold on to it and later state that it's back ordered and they will get to you soon as it can which is bad business. Do yourself a favor and order it from another reputable business."
Sold Item that wasn’t in Stock, Order Cancellation Request Ignored, Card charged despite assurances
"I ordered an item from this company on 7/2/2019. The time was listed as in-stock on their website, and no mention was made of it being “backordered” anywhere at any time during the checkout process.
The next day, I received a message from Anchorexpress, stating that the item I’d bought was “back ordered” and would ship in 1-2 weeks. I was also assured that my card would not be charged until the item shipped, and that I would receive updates regarding the status of my order.
I relied back to their message, and requested that my order be cancelled immediately, because the status of the item had been misrepresented and I had no interest in waiting some indeterminate amount of time for them to ship the item I’d bought.
I received no response back from them, and today I was charged the full cost of the item, plus shipping, without ANY word from Anchorexpress. No acknowledgment of my request to cancel the order, no status update, no tracking information (if they even shipped the item, which I doubt).
This is an incredibly shady company, and I advise anyone reading this to think very hard before purchasing anything from them."
They don't have what they sell, try to sell you other stuff
"I ordered an item, at a good price, however, they never fulfilled it. It was always on back order, then they tried to sell me lots of other stuff, and I never got what I ordered. After 6 weeks, they cancelled my original order. Classic bait and switch. Beware."
"Unbeknownst to me their customer at the time I placed my order, their shipping practice disallows redirection to a secure facility without applying a substantial additional charge. Their customer service rep was rude and unreasonable in trying to achieve a resolution to enable me to safely receive my package. I will patronize elsewhere and suggest you save yourself the hassle of dealing with them as well"

"The team at Anchor Express really goes the extra mile! Last Friday I placed my first order 3 hours after their noon cutoff time for next day delivery. I was pleasantly surprised a few hours later to receive an email notifying me that my item was shipped out a couple hours after the order was placed and I received my item 1 day early thanks to their quick processing follow through. On a Friday after 3pm a lot of vendors would have waited until Monday to work on this online order, but not Anchor Express. This company treats you like family. Totally impressed with their exceptional commitment to their customers."

"I bought a fish finder from Anchor Express. I did not install it until the weather warmed up. So when we opened the box, there was a damaged part (looked like a manufacturing issue). I called the manufacture, they said I needed to call Anchor Express (short . Anchor Express has a 30 day policy, which I had not even considered when I bought it and waited to install. A wonderful person named Rose at Anchor Express listened to my situation, she did ask me to reach out to the manufacture again, which i did, but said if you do not get anywhere please call me back. I got nowhere with the manufacture, so I called Rose back, she worked with me, I sent pictures and within one week I had a replacement part for my defective part. Sorry to say, but nowadays, customer service is usually very poor. Not in this case, Rose and Anchor Express gets and A++."
