"I placed an order at 5 am on a Monday morning. The website claimed to have 1 in stock. They cheerfully accepted my order and cc number.
I received a confirmation email immediately. At 10 am I received another email saying the item had already been "sold". Do these online bait-and-switch masters think they're fooling anybody?
I responded to the email saying I want the order cancelled. I also called the 800 number and left a message saying the same thing. Nobody is EVER available to answer the phone.
Summary: I will try to avoid purchasing anything from AxentMicro. Here's my advice: stay away from ANY online vendor that tells you they have something in stock in order to get you to place an order but then turns around and says they made a "mistake." Don't give them ANY business.
UPDATE: I traded emails with one of their support staff who was actually very sympathetic and nice. He offered me an explanation as to why they didn't have the router in stock. He sounded sincere, but who knows? He also said they would give me free shipping on my next order if and when I place one. His responsiveness to my emails actually impressed me. Use your own judgment."
