"I will not be buying from Better World Books again. The book that arrived does not match the description that Better World Books offered for the copy I purchased. They said the book was in good condition--but the book that arrived is covered in library stickers inside and out and has an ink stamp. BWB made no mention of that in their description. I consider this a deceptive practice and I no longer trust them."

"Got the wrong book but didn't open the package immediately. Told customer service right away when the mistake was discovered but they initially refused to correct the error as it was out of their return policy time frame by a few days. After I complained again, they refunded the money but were unable to send the correct book. Ended up buying it elsewhere. Feel "eh" about the experience."

MISSING PAGES IN BOOK WHICH WAS NOT STATED ANYWHERE IN DESCRIPTION AND FAILED TO REPLACE OR REFUND
"I purchased a book which was advertised as "showing signs of wear". When it came for the time for me to start studying for my exam I realised 6 pages were missing from the book. After contacting customer services I was advised they would not be offering a replacement or refund due to 60 days having passed. I paid £15 for the book and nowhere is the description did it state any pages were missing. After numerous emails they refused to help me. I was absolutely disgusted they would take £15 from me for a book with missing pages which was falsely described in the advertisement of the book. I will definitely not be using them again and would encourage future buyer beware and check the pages as the description did not match the book I received."
Initial confusion, but eventually a very good experience
"Had some issues with the tracking -- never could see any tracking information, and couldn't find the book. Their initial response was to deny me a refund because more than 60 days had passed, though being in New Zealand, I have had books take longer. I sent a very angry reply, and got a very professional response and a courtesy refund, mollifying me.
Then, to my chagrin, I found the book misfiled. Evidently, my partner brought it an and just stuck it on a shelf. I order a lot of books, so it went unnoticed. Now I find myself trying to un-refund the money. It was a small purchase, but it's the principle.
Overall, I would rate this 3-4 stars given the lack of tracking and their initial, blunt rejection of my claim, but having been the one in error I am giving the extra stars by way of apology."
