I contacted Birkenstock support team and they immediately answered stating that the strap would be longer in a wider size, however, they do not carry the wide width. Great! No problem. They graciously took the sandals back. Now, a few months later, my health has improved as the swelling in my legs has diminished. I reordered my shoes which they came within a few days. I could not be happier. The shoes fit beautifully!"
