"I have delt with Geeks for a very long time, way back from 1998, when they were still affiliated with some online computer auction sites. Over the years I have bought over 10,000 dollars of product.Best of all was they actually backed me up on a year old computer warranty even though the manufacturer was giving me problems.Geeks made it good and I have bought from them ever since. Lately they have changed there formats, but have not lost their customer care attitude in the process. Even when a mistake was made on a purchase, which by the way was my error, they still took care of me in a very professional manner. They don't always have the best prices, or the best shipping costs. But on average are as good, or better than most others. Even now I have spent the last 3 hours serrching for the deals I want tonite. And in the end Geeks got the buy. My only wish is they would do a better job on the shipping costs and options."

"Recently I have come into a problem with Geeks.com In the past it has been a glorious experience over all till this order. Due to security settings on my computer, and the way they transfer images in there site, the photo's of this product were blocked for suspicious behavior. I refused to unlock that particular issue to allow it to be display. I use KasperSky BTW. Anyway My first order delivery was incomplete and had another one shipped with no problems. The Description was for a PATA 44PIN IDE to Desktop 40 PIN Standard Cable. This is inaccurate because both sides are 44 PIN configurations. So I Referred to my email to documented the incident # to correct this problem. Please be aware that I am not able to use 44 PIN due to not having cables and am getting away from IDE. With this in mind I had thrown all my IDE cables away which were not already in use. So I called them on there improperly described item hopping to get a simple exchange or pointed to another item that would allow this conversion to work, I was thinking that a 2.5 PATA 44PIN to 3.5 SATA conversion adapter would be issued. I was wrong, they don't even have the item I wanted. The rep refused to listen to me and would only speak if I had begun talking and making suggestions. They offered me a 4.95 refund on an item I paid $20 with shipping on a item that was improperly described. Please be careful when viewing a geeks.com item that has no pictures displayed during viewing a item before buying, if you can't get a picture of an item it is likely to be in your best interest to call and work something out if you have doubts, but Geeks will cover you if this happens. You just have to talk to the right people. If you do run into order related problems Contact Kristopher A. at one of the two options, I called him yesterday and left a voice mail and he was extremely prompt on returning my call. Kris was so professional I have completely changed my opinion about geeks over my little problem. Before talking with Kris, I was totally against geeks, but now I will continue to shop with geeks. He took care of me and went out of his way to make things right. Whatever you do don't call tech support about this and just contact someone in customer relations/Personel, Kristopher is a great rep, he'll take care of you and make things right. He really patched my opinion on geeks and I just might have a better opinion of Geeks then I did prior to the original purchase of this adapter I now fixed 100%. Kristopher is a wonderful rep and every online retailer should have personel like him. With all urgency, please be careful with Geeks.com and be sure that you are buying the right item, if you get the wrong one based only on descriptions, your better off not calling technical support and just jump to the customer relations/personnel, you will be impressed on just how far they will go to make it right. "I purchased a VOX N1 External Hard Drive Enclosure & NAS Storage because it was inexpensive and listed on a deals website as having good reviews. Purchase went smoothly. Instantly billed and emailed with verification. Fairly certain I purchased the last one in stock. Shipping was slower than I'd have liked, but still within the range of being acceptable. The item arrived poorly packaged, with the interior packaging being damaged. It quickly became apparent to me that this was a returned or open box item, as there was scratches and slight damage to the product. In and of itself, this would not have caused me to return the product, so long as it functioned properly. However, the product was listed as being able to accept IDE hard disks, which it does not. The interface with this product is strictly SATA (signal & power). While a USB and RJ-45 cable were included, the cabling to plug the hard drive into the enclosure was missing, rendering it useless! I emailed Computer Geeks two and received no response through their website contact form. I gave up once the 30-day return window had passed, and am now stuck with a hunk of useless plastic. I've attempted to purchase the cables from other retailers, but have been unable to locate cables that are: 1) short enough, 2) low enough profile, and 3) are male-to-female. The manufacturer so far has not yet responded to my inquiries. ----- UPDATE: The company contacted me quickly after reading my review here. It's been a while since then. They arranged for me to send the equipment back for a full store credit (not refund because it was past 30 days, IIRC). I used the full amount on an order for different enclosures, which arrived promptly and did work. Some time during the resolution process, the customer service agent I had been working with had a family emergency and stopped responding to emails for a week. They should have forwarded the case to another agent, but I suppose I understand. UPDATE 2: After the original customer service agent came back from his family emergency, he worked to get me some replacements. They worked well enough. Moving up to 4 stars."

"The order included a Nxtar 4.3 in.GPS unit. which proved to be defective within 30-40 days. Since I liked the unit's display and no replacement was available at Geek's, I returned it to the manufacturer, only to receive a refurbished 3.5 in. screen. Nextar adamantly refused to do any further adjustment, despite my willingness to accept a 4.3 unit refurb. instead of a new one. So I went back to Geeks and they immediately gave me a FULL refund. I've been a loyal Geeks customer for years (since 2001)because of their unbeatable prices; but this action of superb customer care tops the cake and made me a satisfied customer FOR LIFE. "Received my Royal P150-256 digital photo frame in great condition,on schedule, took my memory card from my 7" digital frame, put it in this 15" and instantly they did a slideshow and WOW the pics are just poppin! Great color, ramdom changes...I just love it! Would and may buy another sooner than I thought. Only thing I could see was a small bit of wood slivers from the frame are stuck to the mat behind the glass. Luckily it's not too much to be distracting ince it's hung up. THANKS for such a great deal on an awesome frame."

New box design is like a chinese puzzle to get open with out a blade to cut it... Product was package superbly with 3 layers of bubble wrap for a SSD a bit overkill but appreciated..."

"I have bought a refurbished blackberry pearl from computergeeks.com. I am unhappy with the product I have received. It is the worst refurbished product for the price I have paid for. The interior of the phone is full of scratches and I am not sure if the refurbished skin is original blackberry. I can make out that this product was used for years. My mistake I trusted computergeeks. I will never buy anything from their website again. ~Raj"
