"So, lack of call backs our follow ups but the recommended companies. Forced you to use their app which was only partially functional. Overall lack of follow up wasted my time, ended up searching the web to find solutions and get estimates."
"First, I am unsure what Ms. Missy's is, but you click on their website, I got a company name Home Advisor, the same is true if you call the phone number (my first warning was that something was wrong with this company).
I booked a house cleaning (Roswell, NM) 30 days in advance. After booking, I got back a generic email confirming the appointment. The day after this email, I also received a phone call from someone to set up an appointment (my second warning was that something was wrong with this company). For the next 30 days, I received at least two spam emails from Home Advisor on the other services.
Five days before my appointment, I called to find out the status of my request and what additional information I should receive. I was told I would be contacted two days before and to find answers to my questions on their App. After a frustrating hour trying to get the App to work and dealing with their tech support, I gave up. I tried to install their App on two different devices (my third warning was that something was wrong with this company).
Two days before the appointment, I did receive another email and a contact link. The link would go to their App, which was still not working. I called again (now my third phone call to Home Advisor). I told them the problem I was having, and I was given a phone number. I called the number, left a voice mail, and texted the number, but I never received a callback. I called the number several times throughout the day but never got a callback.
The night before, I received another generic email about my appointment. In the morning, I received a generic text confirming my appointment. At 30 minutes after the appointment, no one had shown up or called. I again called Home Advisor. I was offered no reason for the missed appointment, but I was offered a $10 discount if I rescheduled the appointment, which I declined.
I spent over two hours on the phone and trying to install their App on an appointment I scheduled 30 days in advance, only to be offered a $10 discount. Why on earth would anyone trust a company that runs under a sham name and is so incompetent? All I wanted was to have my house cleaned, but I learned my lesson. I would never use Home Advisor or a company that operates in such a fashion.
Do not use Ms. Missy's (a sham) or Home Advisor. The best I can figure is they are a fraudulent site, or totally incompetent, maybe a little of both."
"The HOME ADVISOR experience was hassle-free and completely satisfying. The process led me step-by-step to a perfect selection for my projects. Additionally, the questions and requests for information was presented in plain language and easily understood. The Home Advisor service has grown and improved through the years -- and I'm a "completely satisfied" customer that it has."
"I called the company, they came out, looked at my project, listened to me, gave suggestions, came back within a couple of days with materials and crew and completed the project."
