Elite seals are prestigious banners given to retailers who are loved by their customers. To get one, a retailer has to consistently get high scores over time
"Cant verify my military status and i sent every document under the sun including my Active duty orders, career data brief, SURF, LES and NONE OF IT WORKS for some reason. It makes no sense and these people are TERRIBLE. There is no way to call and have someone help you. I was suggessted to send my LES and this was still denied. All documents were dated for today and i was rejected for documents being too old or for being duplicates from forms i sent years ago???? Make it make sense????"
"Uploaded many different legal documents, but somehow no-one at SheerID is intelligent enough to read my First Name, I always get the message "First name is missing". Impossible to pass. Something really strange is going on."
"I have to go through sheerID to get Spotify student premium, but apparently am not a student because I'm from an Ineligible Schools "Ineligible Schools. We are sorry, students at these schools are not eligible for this offer" they don't explain why or how it is just how it is, and we just have to liv with it. Which is very frustrating."
It just ****. Provided relevant documents and it simply rejects without stating why
"Horrible experience. Have no idea why a giant company like Google wants to use this dubious service. No support and rejects documents without explanations."
"Automated student verification didn't work and started telling me I had limited attempts left.
Uploaded (at their recommendation!) student ID, which they rejected because it didn't have an issue date.
Completely useless."
"You are worldwide company, however to verify a document in this world have many different ways. Scanning an ID card can't be verified as a legal document? You are very funny lol"
"Users are forced to submit documentation to support eligibility for various discounts (student, military, etc.). The description of the documentation required is vague and the requirements of the documentation of too restrictive often causing rejection on the initial attempt. Users than must re-submit more documentation to emails that then go unanswered and after eight days the request expires, alienating the user with the retailer, Sheerid process, and lack of customer service. When you call in an attempt to talk to alive person the automated system redirects you to send an email that will go unanswered. If you select the option to purchase their service as a retailer, you will get to talk to a CSR. Entity is focused on selling their service to organizations willing to pay, but the process does not support users requesting verification and absolutely no Customer Support focus for these group of people. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED!"
"I am a grad student and have had Spotify with the student discount for a couple years now. Every year, Spotify sends an email to remind students to reapply for the discount if he or she is still in school. I did this, like I did last year, but this time Sheerid said that I needed to send additional information. No problem. I sent a copy of my last transcript, but immediately got told it lacked information. As a fan of Spotify, I decided to go through the trouble of ordering new transcripts and I sent the official unopened transcript—directly from student services—to Sheerid, figuring that would solve the problem. After all, the transcripts were official documents that stated clearly my personal information and curriculum. However, I was told the following:
1. Document does not show first name.
2. Document does not display current or valid date.
This wasn’t a canned response either. I was amazed that whomever wasn’t embarrassed by sending such a blatantly incorrect response. I decided that maybe the person was having a bad day or that English was not the person’s first language and so I took screenshots of the transcript and added big lime green arrows with Photoshop that pointed to my name and the date, as well as my current program’s GPA. Although it took a bit longer this time around, the colorful imagery did not seem to give the Sheerid representative what he or she needed to figure it out. The reasons this time were as follows:
1. Document is not clearly scanned or completely readable.
2. Document contains identification that does not match the information given on application.
3. Document does not contain all required information (first and last name, college/university name).
I decided I would pass the experience along in case anyone else had issues with the company."
