"I would rate this company as -10. They are wholly disorganized and unethical in their processing of products.
I had cancelled my order with them after receiving no notice and no product needed within the delivery time noted at the time of ordering. It had been needed for a scheduled event, which has long since passed. Over a month after that cancellation was issued and several other emails had been sent they charged my credit card and again after several notices regarding cancelation still tried to deliver the product, Now they refuse to refund the money they took, saying they will be giving me a "credit" towards a future purchase! Clearly someone there also has a sense of humor."
"Ordered a $200 bottle of Champaign to be delivered on daughter's BD. Got a lot of excuses why it couldn't be done. Offered a credit on my next order. WHY would I order from them again!!!!!! Wouldn't make any other adjustments and basically didn't care

"I signed on to Wine.com to use a gift card. I entered my ship to state and found wine to buy. Almost all of these prices are way higher then at local stores, shipping is $8.00 a bottle and they changed the price per bottle at checkout. Chatted with Bianca who told me different prices for different states. I ID'd by state in the beginning. Told her it felt like a bait & switch. She didnt care. Worst customer experience ever!!!"

"I have ordered from these guys a number of times over the years and have never had a problem. The only issues that I have encountered is with FED-Ex if they get behind. Recently I had an issue that some of the emails they sent went to spam and I didn't see responses, it also appears that they had a website issue. I went on line and read these reviews and became concerned. Before I could even reach their customer service department on Monday, all of the wine I had ordered for people had already arrived and there were no issues. I placed 2 more orders that day and they have all arrived as scheduled. The wine is packaged very well and there has never been an issue. Can't speak for everyone who comments, but my experience with them has been completely satisfactory. In addressing the comment that you can buy cheaper, I think that depends on what State you live in. You might get it for a few dollars less, but those people are not reaching out to you and offering recommendations or specials. These guys are not simply a warehouse, they are a full service business. If you had a problem reach out because I think there is more to your issue. 5 stars from me."
"WARNING! Very, very, very, very bad. If you send a gift of wine to someone, you will never be notified if something is out of stock and your order will be placed on hold, basically forever, unless you contact them. You can place an order for items in stock and it goes through just fine, but some items are actually NOT in stock, so they put the order on hold without ever notifying you. My 12 orders for a VIP Zoom wine tasting event sat on hold for days until I contacted them asking why they had not shipped. That's how I found out that one of the bottles in my orders was out of stock, so they put all the orders on hold. I asked why nobody ever notified me. They said the system isn't set up that way and "they're working on fixing that". What??!!! Are you kidding me? This is not Joe's Bargain Basement Wines here. This is a big company... you'd think they'd have that worked out by now. It gets worse. I spent 1/2 hour on the phone choosing a different wine for all of the orders. She went through each order and said they were all okay to ship. Just to be sure I contacted them the next day and THE SAME THING HAPPENED! The orders were all put on hold AGAIN because one of the bottles was out of stock AGAIN! I canceled them all and went to wineexpress.com instead."

"Besides the worst Customer Service ever, this company overcharges most of the wines if compared with other sellers. What makes this seller awful it's the negligence, discrimination and mistreatment you get from most of the customer service agents. It feels like they are trained to treat you like worthless consumer.
After I complained about issues with my others during their "fictitious" system upgrade, they decided to block my account without notice or any explanation why. Some of my orders were charged in full, but delivered with missing wines. My credit card was charged three times for "orders" that were never delivered. The issues were never clarified or resolved, forcing me to open disputes with my credit card. I have opened a new account after that and once they found out, the new account was also blocked from the blue. At the end of three months of complaints, no responses and 5 blocked accounts, I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau (BBB). So, BBB contacted wine.com twice and no response was sent. BBB then advised me to write as letter to the Attorney general, which I am working on right now. Wine.com must improve its customer service practice and policy if they want to stay in the Market."

I am so sorry I did not read the reviews before using Wine.com. Stay away from this sham website, after you order, they have some lame warning about delays, lol, let people know BEFORE they order. "I've used wine.com for over 6 months and until recently have only had normal problems. However about 6 weeks ago I had a shipment go missing. I have written emails, I waited on "chat" over and over sometimes as long as an hour and never had anyone answer. In addition if you call them the recorded voice says they are all busy and hangs up. It seems they don't have any customer service at this time. I've gone in and deleted my credit card information and will not buy from this horrible business again. It's not like their prices were that great as I was finding lower prices on other web sites."

"Awful! I ordered wine as a 50th Birthday gift for my sister. That was 5 days ago. The wine was never even shipped from wine.com. Noone called, emailed, or informed me there was a problem. I had to investigate and follow up on my own after they have already been paid. Do yourself a favor and purchase elsewhere. Very disappointed with the lack of service and follow-up. "I bought $200 worth of wine based on a friend's recommendation, since they had a lot of the wines we normally have a hard time finding in our area. The wine came in just fine, but we have yet to open one of the bottles, especially since it was 94 degrees at delivery. We have a referral credit with them that they cannot tell me how to claim. Today will be a week since the initial contact, and 3 days since my follow-up.
Selection does not beat service in this case."
"I have been purchasing wine from Wine.com since last July 2019. They have followed through until now . I order /purchased from them 2 bottles of Chateau Leoville Barton 2009 In early January and they sent me one bottle of the wrong wine , instead a bottle of Lazy Susan Ranch 2013. I called customer service a they informed me they would send me the correct wine and a return tag by e-mail. They did not follow though. Since I did not hear back from them I researched on RP the Lazy Susan Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 wine that they sent me by mistake and saw that it had good reviews and decide to open this wine. To my surprise it was CORKED! Reported this to them and they replied to me offering me a $20.00 dollar credit on my next purchase! Really disappointed, they do not back what the sell nor fix their mistakes and I will never give them my business again."
"I was looking for a specific wine that I liked from wine.com because the website showed they had one in stock. I ordered 2 more bottles of wine because of the free shipping promotion. What was delivered were 2 extra bottles that I ordered for free shipping and not the one I wanted in the first place. No one contacted me about my order and they charged me for shipping. The worst part of all this was contacting their customer service via chat and phone. Person on the chat was obviously not understanding what I was trying to say, wasted an hour of my time and just left the chatroom. I called next day to speak to someone and she kept on interrupting me, talking over me. NEVER ORDER FROM WINE.COM Maybe you were able to get your wines okay, but if things go wrong, good luck getting quality service to resolve your problem."
