"A couple items in my order was backorder so I told them to just cancel them and return my money along with the $50 shipping charge , they only want to give me $40 of the shipping money and I have to wait to get that , the lady I spoke to had no clue about how to help me straighten the order out also they should never take money until they are positive the vender has the parts, I waited 2 months for optic armor to ship my windows that I purchased from summit,.. I’ve been buying car parts for over 20 years from summit and I’ll take my business where they take care of loyal costumers,...at the end of the day I just want what they took from me ,trust me I need it more than they do"
"Well I can see by the one star rating on this site that most of these folk are simply angry. I understand as I have been a frustrated customer looking for a site to vent as well. However I have to say in this case, it is simply the opposite. I purchase a lot performance part from Summit and I have had very few issues if any. However recently my luck changed. There was an issue with a part that I had purchased over a year earlier for a project but just this month got around to installing it. After finding an issue and realizing how long I had had the part, I figured I would not get much help. That could have not been any further from the truth. They really went above and beyond to take care of this issue for me. I can not tell you how much I appreciate them taking to the time to listen to the special circumstance surrounding the issue and making a final decision based on customer service versus simply hiding behind a company policy. "Wyatt your customer service stinks . I ordered shocks 10 days ago and they just got put in the system for shipping . Wyatt also had the nerve to tell me that the shocks were not in stock when I confirmed they were the day after I ordered them . What ever happened to customers come first ?! You won’t get that here boys and girls !!!!!"
"Ordered two parts. The first a pair of control links. They arrived right away but they were two different parts, one black the other zinc. The second part, a rack and pinion never arrived after a month and I have yet to get a credit after cancelling the order."
"Called and ordered a piston. Told the person on the phone size I needed. Got a email conformation saying incorrect size. Called again they told me it was on there notes section for the correct size. Received the part and its incorrect. Called again and they said it'll be another few days on parts. I have been a summit customer for over a decade.I will never do business with Summit again."
Wrong Price, wrong item description, would not back up their mistake.
"Ordered a steering column from them. They took the money. Called me to tell me the price was too low. Also that the description was wrong that it was a floor column shift not a column shift. They tried a bait and switch. Offered me another steering column at 4 times the price. I refused. My company will never buy from them again and I can't wait to tell my fellow auto shops not to use them and I will tell everyone I can at the midwest car shows like IOLA in Wisconsin how I was treated."
"Word of advice. Stay away from Summit Racing for auto parts. Sent 3 sets of the wrong parts for my car which put my bank account in the red i.e. negative balance plus multiple overdraft fees. Returned all 3 wrong orders and still ate $32 in shipping. The returned $20 but I am still out $10 for shipping. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!"

"Paid for the 2 day air shipping and didn’t come for 5 days. I called and they said sorry and that’s all they could do and if that I couldn’t have my upgrade fees even though it took longer than standard ground shipping would have. Waste of money"

"I've spend a bejillion $$ with Summit over the years. Last week purchased 2 items I wanted right away and paid the upgrade delivery "fee"....net result, 5 days to ship to OR from their NV warehouse.
I also recently had dialog with Summit's tech people about a Comp Vacuum Booster that won't start unless tapped with a hammer handle. Their solution: tear it apart and clean it with contact cleaner. Comp's tech
people weren't much better although I could reach them by phone. At Summit, after days of busy signals I sent my query by email - received a response 3 days after that. Good thing .... if I had received that response during a telephone conversation, I'd have told the guy to remove his head and spray it with contact cleaner,
laughed at his suggestion and hung up."
"Ordered wheels and tpms sensors. Sensors showed up right away but wheels never came. Customer service on phone was down right rude, and people wouldn't even give their names. It's a culture of zero accountability because service is so bad). Sent an email and got a response 5 days later that the wheels had not shipped ... totally unhelpful. After 3 weeks I cancelled the order. No refund issued so I disputed with Paypal. Summit Racing then lied to Paypal using tracking from the TPMS sensors claiming that the wheels were shipped.
Total scammers. Avoid."
"I was Charged twice & they will only return one payment. I’m **** off because after order was cancelled they went & rebelled me !! Don’t recommend this place to anyone"
"Ordered 2 ac delco fuel injectors as their site stated they had in stock. 1 fuel injector arrived first and showed signs of having been previously opened and tampered around with. When I called and complained customer service a replacement was a month away at least so I cancelled order. So trying to unload a previously returned part on me just **** me off and don't trust them anymore."
