Horrible service, over paid for fishing rod
"Ordered a Daiwa tabula elite skipping rod, was on back order for 2 months, canceled and ordered alx zolo skipper instead. Said one left in stock, after ordering said it was on back order. 3 months later after calling numerous times they tried to blame ALX for not shipping them in. Called ALX and they said they never received the order from American legacy fishing. Called American Legacy fishing to tell them and they said "Ooops we thought we ordered them" and then finally ordered. 2 weeks later I received my rod finally. Rod was $249.99 American. After shipping and taxes $378.59. I then get a letter a month later from FedEx for $131.59 in import fees..... my $244.99 before tax American rod now turned into $510.18 Canadian after taxes rod. Not worth it at all..."

Bad customer service
"Ordered a rod off this site over 5 months ago, still have not received rod. Called and spoke to company numerous times and they kept saying they haven't received any orders from ALX and were still waiting on them. I later called ALX to see what the issue was and they said they had plenty of stock but had not received an order from American Legacy. I called American Legacy back and called them out on their nonsense and the guy said he spoke with the manager and they have put the order through and should receive them within a week. Three weeks have passed and it's still showing up on site as being on backorder. Sent them an email, Im probably going to cancel my order and buy straight from ALX. I'll most likely receive it faster at this rate. Very disapointed. Also did not receive discount code for signing up my email."

False advertisement and careless customer service
"So I ordered a rod for my daughter and said I would get Email with shipping info etc, process’s my order never received shipping info, called store on day 5 said on its way nothing, called back and said it was delivered, well to the store and then had to ship it to me. Finally received my order, now I just received an invoice from Shimano stating I need to pay ? Called America legacy and said unmmm don’t worry about. This place is a joke!!!!"

Paid for 9 items and 5 of the items were out of stock
"I order 9 items from A.L.F. And after they took my money they called to inform me 4 (stickers and T-shirt’s) of the time I paid for we’re out of stock. I just asked them to cancel any items out of stock and proceed with the rest. 20 mins later I receive another call from them telling me the $400 rod I paid for is also out of stock and back ordered. I told them to cancel the whole order. Pretty pathetic online experience with a company. No apologizes or anything just “ok” and that’s was it. Go with the big shops like Cabela’s or Bass Pro. Never head any issues with them, they were just out of stock of the rod I wanted so I COULDN'T order it from Bass Pro or Cabela’s, because that’s how a real website works"

"Did a trade in deal back in May. Still have not received my 700.00 credit..called three times and was assured it would be done ASAP. Not true. Next step is to call the attorney general's office."

Fantastic experience
"I missed an email telling me that my fly rod was on backordered. I was going to need to cancel the order since it would arrive after my trip. The customer service person looked up and found an equal and shipped it out that day! His quick thinking saved me the headache of having to find another one in time."
