"They have blocked my domain and demanded $100 to reclaim it. I was able to recover my email by doing a domain transfer to another registrar without their assistance.
They claimed that the domain had expired and hence it is blocked. However, I had paid through to 2019. They took over a company called Goodluckdomains with whom I had registered my domain originally and then they blocked my domain to claim $100 for releasing the same.
If only there is an ombudsmen for regsitry I would lodge a complaint on this blackmail.

The only option is to submit a registration request and await an answer.
