"I originally ordered a Clarity 500 phone because it was listed as for being appropriate for moderate hearing loss. After getting it, I found that it was marginal for my needs. After obtaining return information from 101phones, I sent it back in exchange for a Clarity XL40D, which is rated for severe hearing loss. They allowed the exchange with no restocking fee, although I did have to pay for mailing the retuned phone to them, which I thought was fair. I am very satisfied with my present phone and with the service I received. I would order from them again."

"I wish I would have found this web site before ordering from this company. They are theifs. I ordered a headset and it didn't work and they charged me 21.00 restocking fee on a 129.00 purchase. I followed their web site and returned it with in 2 days of receiveing it and it was defective with all the packing and manuals.
Their web site says:
Upon arrival please allow 1-2 Business days for your new order to ship out or your credit card to be credited.

All orders placed and cancelled or refused upon delivery will be subjected to a 10% processing fee on top of our shipping costs.
All returns that do not follow our return procedures will be subject to a 10% processing fee.
Any damage to original packaging or missing interior packaging will be subject to a 10% penalty fee. (i.e. manuals, warranties, tape on the manufacturer’s box, etc.)
A charge will be assessed for accessories missing from the box.
No returns or exchanges will be made if the UPC has been removed from the box.
*** No returns or exchanges will be made without original packaging. ***

"101 phones will not stand behind their products. I recently purchased 3 headsets from them. One was dead and all three were missing parts. When I called about this I received a canned response of "We are not responsible for what is included in our refurbish items". No attempt was made to resolve the issue. I then asked about returning the items and they said no problem they would take of that. They took care of it by taking 24% off the my refund. When I called to get a better understanding of this charge I received the same lack of customer support. When I asked to speak with a manager or the owner they did not know how to get a hold of them. I have purchased from this company for over four years and never will again. Customer service is not a part of their business model."

"Today I received the batteries that I ordered a week ago. The batteries will not charge, and my phone doesn't even recognize the batteries. When I put the phone on the charger, it displays a message to insert batteries. I also have a seperate battery charger, and it will not charge the batteries either. I think they are just bad batteries. I'm going to return them soon and request a refund. I will see how it goes. Once this is settled, I'll post another comment detailing what happens. "

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Customer service is awful!!! Rep/Supervisor Kristen repeatedly hung up on me after making a flippant remark. Spoke to Queenie who only made excuses for Kristen. No one even took responsibility for a screw up that was the companies fault. No apology, nothing. Ask to file a complaint and I was hung up on. Asked to speak to a different supervisor and I was left on hold for OVER 2 HOURS!!!!

I will not be recommending this company for anything. I will also filing a complaint with the BBB and the local chamber of commerce.

Buyer Beware!!!
I urge all of the customers that have been scammed and ripped off by the practices of this company to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as I have done. We have to protect ourselves as consumers from people who take our money and then lie to us then make us pay to correct their mistakes.

"They sent us an old phone instead of the new one we ordered, and wouldn't pay for shipping to fix their mistake! They also charged us a 10% restocking fee, even though they said they would waive that fee. Very unhappy with the service.

"The products they sent did not work. The phone kept cutting out and the answering machine was all static! When asking the customer service rep why they applied a 35% return fee, she said that was what they do if I don't exchange. I didn't exchange because I didn't want another broken phone. I now know why they want the original packaging back, so they can pack up the broken products they sold to me and sell them right back to you!
I will never buy "re-furbished" products from 101 phones again!

"terrible service; the manager hung up the phone on me; the onlinephonestore.com shipped to me a wrong phone model but packed it into the right box; my install was delayed due to construction and once I opened and plugged it in I noticed that the caller ID was not working; but since it was over 30 days the manager refused to exchange even thou it was their mistake."

"Buy your phones anywhere else. What a bunch of jerks! I order a "new" phone system. They sent me opened/ used/returned/who knows what mdse. I complain. They demand that I pay to return it. I refuse. I called 3x to resolve this, I leave 3 msgs on the "Supervisors" voicemail. Zero response. They won't pickup mdse from a customer no matter whose fault it is. I dispute the charge on my AmEx. They never respond so I win. They re-charge me. I dispute again, they don't respond so I win again. AE blocks them from re-charging.

Now, SEVEN months later, they demand pymt and turned it over to some sleazo collection company. I'm waiting on hold for 21 minutes in position # 1 for a Supervisor while a type this. What a bunch of f-ing jerks.

"Absolutely one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with. They are inept, unprofessional scam artists. We had to return an item twice because it was the wrong product. After waiting over two months for our item (which they kept lying about being shipped), we had enough and requested a total refund. Surprise, surprise... they slammed us with their processing fee for trying to get our money back. Seriously, don't even waste your time with these scumbags--they're out to take your money. Their prices are cheap, but they're cheap to lure customers in so they can ship them the wrong items and jerk them around to collect shipping/processing charges from them. NEVER AGAIN."

"I ordered a replacement battery for an APC UPS: an SLA-3-12 battery - but was shipped an SLA-33-12 battery instead - the paperwork in the box with the incorrect battery showed the SLA-3-12 battery listed as being the one enclosed. The incorrect battery weighed 25 lbs and cost me $14.40 to ship back to 101 Phones. 101 Phones will only reimburse me $8.00 for my return shipping costs leaving me $7.40 short.
The C.S. rep on the phone said $8.00 was the most they could reimburse me and that they had never had a return cost that much and that there was nothing they could do. If I am the first, then they should update their policy -
I consider this to be very poor customer service and a short sighted return policy. This was their mistake. It is unacceptable. They were not the cheapest listing on the internet for the battery I ordered, but they looked reputable. I was wrong.

"I’ve never given a retailer a bad review before, but feel I need to share this. I bought a phone plus extra handset from 101Phones which turned out to be defective. I sent it back for a refund, and they charged me a re-stocking fee! This was a first for me - I’ve never heard of a company charging a re-stocking fee for defective merchandise. I lost $35 in restocking plus shipping cost, but I learned my lesson. I wonder how many times they’re going to sell that same defective phone and collect restocking fees? "

"Before you buy from 101phones make sure you check them out as I failed to do that as they are very very very bad business people ,as I had purchesed a phone from them and when I received it was completely dead as I contacted them and told me to ship it back way should I pay to ship it back when they ship it defective to me as it is now costing you more so now you are not getting a deal buying from them is very very very bad business do not buy or you will lose out like I did but I am not finished with then I Have ways of getting back when someone like then screws me I always do like they always say back is a bit-- and they will gets thers so donot buy from then or you will lose out , WARNING DONOT BUY FROM 101 PHONES BAD BUSINESS PEOPLE"

"I purchased a refurbished phone because I need a headset jack and they are hard to find. The phone had such bad static that I could not hear my customers. And the interference took down my wireless network. When I contacted them, they said that my only option was to exchange the phone for the same model. Even their refurbishing center said that the phone was defective and I should request a refund. I have done that but been completely ignored. I wish I had read reviews before buying from em. This is the worst online retail experience I have ever had - and I buy a lot online."
