"They advertised a Sempron I wanted to buy. After okaying the cc charge, i receive an email from David Aronvich @ a2zcomp.com, saying that this item is not available would I accept his suggestion for another processser that was comparatable ? I was looking for an "A" socket and he recommeded a processor that was a 754 socket...............
Then proceded to process my cc through a2z when I had actually been dealing with PC Hardware 4U, butt did not at anytime oreder anything from either of them.
Now I am having to prove to the cc company that I did NOT order or receive anything from them........
Wanna know what I think of this deal, DO NOT BUY FROM EITHER OF THESE PLACES :
PC Hardware 4U
A2Z Computers"
" I ordered(from pricewatch.com) the Lexmark PrinTrio X1150 which was advertised for $39.99 by "A2Z Computers" (A.K.A.: "PCHardware4U"). They sent me a Lexmark 5150. The scanning light was frozen in place (even when the locking mechanism was disengaged). I contacted A2Z and was instructed to ship (at my own expense) the 5150 back to them. A week later they sent me a used (scarred and worn and broken) 5150 as a replacement.
I contacted A2Z and complained. They sent FedEx to retrieve the printer (this time at no cost to me) and two weeks later they sent the same used printer, and now the "copy" function does not work.
The customer service supervisor actually cursed at me on the phone, and told me there was nothing I could do to resolve the matter.

"Nonexistant communication, poor customer service, website says the products are in stock to entice you to order (even when they aren't), charged my credit card the day the order was placed, two weeks later I had to call them to find out the product they advertised as in stock was no longer available and was there anything else they could do for me!! Yeah, refund the money you took!!"
"Avoid this company. I will not buy from them again. Their website listed the memory as in stock -- it wasn't. I called after a couple days to see what the deal was. Talked to Dave and he said that it was in stock but located at one of their other warehouses. He later said it was being drop-shipped from Kingston and should ship out in a day or two. Why would it be drop shipped from Kingston if it is in stock at a different warehouse? Dave tried to feed me BS! I cancelled my order and will spend the extra $8 to buy from NewEgg."
"STAY AWAY ! !
Ordered two copies of MSPRJ 2003 OEM and still haven't gotten the software after a week. Check these guys out on eopinions.com. They've even been reported to the better business Bureau."
"I placed an order for a Plextor PX-716SA, which was listed as in stock. Terms specified on site said in stock items would be shipped same day, order was placed early in the morning on the 17th and shipping option was 2nd day air. My credit card was billed on the 19th. After one week drive finally shipped after several email to their support department. I was first told that the drive was out of stock and that it would be shipped as soon as it arrived, which I was told would be Friday the 20th if the order came in before 5, or Monday the 23rd. No change in shipping status on Friday or Monday. Emailed Tuesday morning stating I would be canceling the order if it hadn't shipped by the end of the day. I received notification that night that drive had shipped. Thursday the drive did arrive, but after verifying the package contents, I found it to be lacking a manual, self test jumper and Molex to SATA power adapter. Installed drive in my PC and found it to be defective. I'm currently pursuing resolution with Plextor directly. I strongly suggest looking into other e-retailers before purchasing from Hardware4U or A2Z computers. You might save a few dollars buying from them, but the level of service I experienced negated any cost savings I saw on the actual product."
"Absolutely the worst vendor I've had to deal with so far. I ran across them thru Pricewatch .. wish I had seen this site first. I ordered a CD burner from them 1 May 2005. They pulled the "bate & switch" routine with the model numbers.
I had to return the unit and then I couldn't get any service. On sales person (female) actually hung up on me when she made it clear it wasn't her job to deal with returns ... that's right a sales rep hung-up on me because she didn't feel it was her job to help me. I was never rude to her either. I even explained I was having a hard time reaching their RMA dept.
From the comments posted here it seems this is typical treatment at this company. Finally I gave up, sent them an email and got my money back on 24 May 2005 (over 3 weeks after I ordered from them). 3+ weeks wasted, and the aggrevation.
I just checked the Akron, Ohio Better Business Bureau (BBB) web site, and they have 74 complaints filled against them ... and those are just the people that took time to write in. Don't waste your time or money with this company no matter what price they advertise. Email all your friends, and tell them to do the same. Avoid a2z computers & PCHardware4U (a2z computers & PCHardware4U are the same vendor.)"
"Stay away from A2Z Computers. I ordered a Lexmark X75 printer they had advertised for $29.00, after a week, we called to find out the status... and found they don't even have the item, oh.. the website has not been updated. BULL_SHIT. When we called them and cancelled the order, they still charged us. Even though the item was not in stock and they had no plans of getting me one. Now, they are giving us the run-around about trying to get re-imbersed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY."
"Much the same as other reviews, I was a "victim" of the bait and switch tactic. I placed an order for a Viewsonic CRT. After my order had processed and the purchase amount deducted from my account, I received a phone call from Michael K. stating that they no longer had this monitor in stock. He offered me a choice of a lesser monitor from Viewsonic (one that the company no longer makes), or an equivalent model from a different maker (that I had never heard of). Michael was very pleasant to deal with and seemed very helpful. I told him I would think about the proposals he made and I would call him back. I read up on the alternatives he offered me (which was when I found out that Viewsonic no longer makes the model he was offering) and decided to cancel my order. He said "No problem". I emailed their customer support asking if they could give me an approximate time for my credit card to received the purchase amount credited back. No response. Emailed yet again, and no response. Since I had Michael's email address, I emailed him back asking that he address my question since Customer Service hadn't responded. He not only answered my question, but had addressed a Customer Service person with a statement to respond to my email. The amount was credited back to my account within 48 hours (not sure how much of the delay was my bank).
I am very displeased with the bait and switch method of upselling me. I was also very displeased with the lack of response by the Customer Service department. I was very satisfied with the sales support provided by Michael K. I will probably not purchase anything from this vendor again, but I hope that Michael K. gets a job with a respectable company. He was great to deal with and could have a great future as a sales person for someone with reputable sales ethics."
"I ordered a motherboard from this store, unfortunately before I saw the comments here, and ended up in the same situation a lot of people here did. They had the motherboard up on their site but didn't actually have it in stock. After four days of waiting for it to ship *the site said it was ready to ship but hadn't shipped it yet* I tried calling them. The first time I called the system kept asking me to press 1 to stay on hold every 5 seconds until I finally hung up. The second time I called the girl told me that there was a problem with my order, she didn't know what it was, and that she would have the sales person call me since he didn't get in until 12:30. Not to be fooled by this load of crap *I've worked for a call center before and know how much information these people have access to, and also have the common sense to know they don't just have one sales person working* I called the sales department. The new girl told me that my motherboard wasn't in stock and that instead they could send me some low end crap motherboard in it's place. I told her no, I want my order cancelled, and I would like a confirmation email showing it's been canceled and I'm due a refund. She told me that they couldn't send a confirmation email. I then proceeded to bug the email support until they finally sent me a confirmation email. It took them an entire week to refund my money, however. I absolutely will NOT do business with them again. I'm not sure on their scam level *the bait and switch method is legal, but still kind of scammy* but just the crappy customer support is enough to keep me away from this company. DO NOT order from these people. You might manage to get something they actually have in stock, but if I was you, I wouldn't take the chance. It's a pain in the butt if they don't have the item in stock to simply get your money back. They don't notify you that it's not in stock or anything until you call to find out why it's taking so long for them to ship it *because the site will tell you your item is packaged and ready to ship*. You have to bug them to death just to get a confirmation email that your order has been cancelled. From now on, I'm most definately sticking to GOOD stores like Newegg and Zipzoomfly, even if it means compromising *the only reason I ordered from A2Z was these other stores didn't carry the motherboard I wanted*."
"Purchased 12 copies of Office 2003 SMB and all of the cd keys were on plain white stickers and were all activated already. These guys suck, dont waste your time with them."
"This company is HORRIBLE at customer service. They had a good price, but they took 3 days to process an overnight order and then lost the product! When I called for information, I had to finally talk to someone in their purchasing department because I could not reach anyone in their customer service. Then when I DID talk to a live customer service agent, They told me they couldn't do anything about it until the next day. In all, it's taken 5 days to get something processed for overnight shipping and I STILL don't have my product. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU USE THEIR SERVICE. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS THAT ARE WAY BETTER FOR JUST A FEW DOLLARS MORE!"
"I purchased a new Intel Prescot cpu.
I could not get it to boot up even into bios.
Took the chip back with computer.
They installed a new chip that works great.
I am very satisfied.
Will purchase from them from now on."
"I purchased a RAM chip from A2ZComp.com and paid extra for 2 day air shipping on Monday. Today, Friday I called them to find out where my stuff is. I was told that it was being drop shipped from the manufacturer and then would be two day shipped from their (A2Zcomp's) office. No mention of that was made when I ordered the product nor in the confirmation email sent to me. I called them to complain and was essentially told "Tough! We will overnight the package from our office if you want but that's it." Still doesn't get the thing here in the two days that I paid for.
They are based here in Ohio, so I reported them to Ohio AG's office and the BBB. I found that the BBB has had 95 complaints filed about them in the past 36 months. Besides www.a2zcomp.com , they also run another website called www.pchardware4U.com ."
"Said next day shipping if in stock. It was listed in stock on the websight, and 3 days later the status says"Getting ready for the final stage which is shipping""
