"Unbelievable customer service. Absolutely amazing. On 12/16/2003 I ordered an Awesome 3500. After I ordered I had a couple of questions, and I also wanted to add something to my order. Megan Miller has been great! She has responded to all of my emails quickly, and answered all of my questions. I couldn't be happier with my decision to buy from abs, and I can't wait to get my computer.

"As a pretty savvy home computer user, I spent a great deal of time researching the components that I wanted for my new computer. I also spent an equal amount of time scouring every periodical and web report to determine from whom I wanted to purchase my new system.

On the editorials of PC World, I was initially quite impressed with Abs. I did however, find a handful of negative web reviews referencing negative experiences with ABS. Given their 30 day guarantee, I nonetheless thought I'd give it a try.

While I did have initial challenges verify the pricing of my system using their automated configurator (It changed the quoted $$$ between the final changes and order placement) I could not be more satisfied as to the responsiveness of their customer service department. The quickly reviewed my situation, and adjusted the price to the lowest configurated price -- despite what the web configurator showed.

I was kept inform throughout the building of my machine, which in fact, arrived a couple of days early.

My computer booted up flawlessly and has run without a hitch for the last 45 days.

There is no doubt that any future computers that I or my friends purchase will be done so with ABS.

They are simply outstanding!!!

"Overall, I have to say ABS is an excellent company. I recently purchased an Awesome 3500 from them with free shipping via FedEx. System was quickly built and I appreciate that they left you track it's progress via their online site.

System was shipped via FedEx Monday, December 8th after only 5 days of build time. It actually arrived on Thursday, but I wasn't at home. I got home, and of course it wasn't there, but I was surprised that there was no package notice...

So, on Friday they attempted redelivery. My mom and sister were at home...and when I logged on from work later in the day, the package I had been waiting for was delivered...I thought it was odd that recorded name of the signer for the package was not my mom nor sister's though...

Well, guess I should've been a little more concerned, as my PC was nowhere to be found once I arrived home. Rather than throw a tantrum I called FedEX...turned out they misdelivered the package...

Great...so now someone else has my PC. FedEX said they would send a driver to pick it up, but by this time I was upset and decided to call ABS to see what they could do. Three calls before I got a person on the line, but once I did the representative was extremely helpful. She found out more about the situation and called me back, saying the package was mistakenly delivered to a business and that the called and the guy who signed for it didn't touch or open it. FedEx would go pick it up and have it to be the next day.

I really was looking forward to playing around with my new purchase today, but at least I woul get it...

Sooner than I thought as it turned out, as within 40 minutes FedEx was at my door with my new ABS PC!

I've played around with it for a few and it is indeed an AWESOME PC. I've never been so pleased with a puchase...and as long as it hold up in the years to come I will remain a happy customer.

So, bottomline, ABS PCs are the way to go. Just hope you don't have an incompetent FedEx worker.

"I have to say I had an outstanding experience with ABS. I purchased an Awesome 4300 PC with AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 1GB RAM, 2x120 GB HD in RAID 0 setup, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, and Logitech Cordless MX Duo Keyboard/Mouse setup. The system arrived a week early, started up without problems, and ran like a BEAST. The ordering process was painless (ordered online), and I was especially pleased that they didn't add any bogus or unwanted software to the unit. Everything was neatly packed and shipped, and the binder that includes the manuals and driver CDs is extremely convenient. Word of warning: This is not ABS' fault, but do NOT try to load Roxio Goback on a PC with a RAID. I had to reformat, repartition, and reinstall EVERYTHING because that program completely screwed up the file system and the PC wouldn't boot up properly. Otherwise, the PC has been an excellent buy, and a fantastic value."

"I ordered an Awesome 2300 (value machine) with a few options. Order ack and tracking were fine. Delivery was before the target date (but the speakers arrived 3 days later).

The system arrived in perfect physical condition (ABS' packaging is excellent) and has been running fine for 10 days, through some rather complex hardware/software installations, indicating that ABS did a good job of configuring the machine to begin with.

The hardware setup inside the main box is the best I've ever seen! Cables are neatly routed in a way that eases addition of components (although removal of the originals might be difficult). Overall, my impression is one of high quality and thoughtfulness. Performance of this system has exceeded my expectations, especially since I paid less than $900 (without monitor). The standard 128MB of video RAM probably helped.

I agree with ABS: the "Awesome 2300" is truly awesome.

"I purchased an Awesome 3500 series on Nov. 17th and received the pc on Dec. 2. My goal was to find a manufacturer with a solid reputation and a competitive price and found that combination at ABS.

My experience with ABS is that they have responsive communication throughout the ordering / building process. I was able to contact ABS during this period through email (1 day response), live online help (chat box), and telephone. Their customer service team did a decent job of answering my questions during this period. The one complaint I would have is that since I paid with a debit card, it took ABS 4 business days to get the transaction through my bank. This is certainly no fault of ABS, however the online status showed that my PC components were being selected for assembly instead of payment verification. Very minor issue.

The Fed Ex package came in good condition and the box was packed with the keyboard / mouse retail box, software binder (which contains a torn- off CPU UPC box), and a zip-lock baggie of components not used during the build (screws, back plates, etc.).

I had one minor issue upon booting which was some power cables tucked against an intake fan that made a very loud sound when the pc was powered on. This gave me the chance to call tech support and test the service I might receive in the future.

I waited in a tech support queue for appx. 15 mins before talking with someone. The tech was polite and helpful which was encouraging. I even informed him of the ABS - publisher goof of the printed tech number in the documentation I received. (Insert joke about sexy tech support here).

After working on this machine for three days now, I am very satisified with the product I purchased. The true test of any retailer comes with the support after the sale, so time will tell on this matter but I cannot complain of my experience with ABS so far.

"After a long search for the right company to build a custom gaming PC, I finaly salected ABS Computer's, "Ultimate M5(64)". I configured the PC on line(VERY EASY!), then called ABS on the phone to place the order, I would rather talk to a sales person. Eddie was the salesmen. Nice guy. Very to the point, and profesional.
I selected ABS mainly on the ratings I've read, and a few gaming magazine reviews. I can only hope my experiance is a good one. This is a cristmas gift from my wife so I cant fire it up till xmas mourning even though I'm sure I'll get it before then.
I will let every one know how it goes at that time.

"I started by choosing their budget computer but most of their components were "out of stock." Then I went to their home/office series Awesome line and found better equipped computers and most parts in stock. In the end, I got a "better computer" for about the same price. Everything was done through their website; it was quite easy. I do wish they had a way to "save my cart." Also I really don't care for the lights and window case, but my son, who I bought the computer for, loves them and named the computer Dragon Fire. With three fans the Awesome 3500 is noisy and the full size tower is large, which I could surmize, but did not undeerstand from the web site. I like that the company has chosen industry standard
high-quality components at competitive prices. The website was up to date on order status and the computer was shipped well before expected and was delivered a week after being ordered.

Over all it has been a very positive experience. I recommneded them to my friends and would recommend them again.

"Outrageously bad experience. Received defective computer and subsequently found tech support to be inexperienced and generally want to rush you off the phone if they can't figure out the problem in less than 3 minutes. Customer Service is equally poor. I recommend avoiding this company at all costs. A computer purchase is a big investment for many people and there is a good chance they will be very disappointed if the purchase from this company. "

"

I Ordered a Awesome 3500 on 11/21/03 and
recieved it on 12/02/03 one day earlier than
FedEx was estimating.
Every thing has been great so far. System was packaged well and and the ocumentation
was well organized in a binder.

Update 12/15/2003
When I attemped to start my machine on Friday evening on returning home from work I was not able to get my machine to boot up.
Power was getting to all the components (fans
and the drives but would not even get to the Mother board screen. I Called 2net tech. support (it was to late to call ABS directly)
The tech support instructed me to remove both my video card and Ram in order to try to get some sort of error code from my mother
board but neither worked, and the tech declared my mother board dead.
Tech support then stated that they would have
ABS send a new Mother board and processor.
At this point I am waiting to see what the turnaround time is for this to happen. Hopefully the response will be quick.

"I ordered an Awesome 3500 system from ABS and couldn't be happier. Their website and ordering system is second to none. They make it so easy to configure a system and get any specs you may want on any component. Truly the best I've ever seen.
And they are fast. To build a system, test it and ship it across the US in 10 days is incredible.
It is everything I wanted and it's amazing how nice a wiring job they did inside of it. The all aluminum case is a work of art. The fans are a little loud, but I can live with it. And they sure do know how to ship stuff well. No scratches or anything, great packaging job.

I ordered a system from ABS over 6 years ago, a PII 266, and it stills works well today. For some stupid reason, when I went to order a new system (PIV), I tried to order it from some other company cause I thought I was saving money....Well I got royally screwed and am now fighting to get my money back ($711.00). Then I went to ABS and checked out a comparable system which I "thought" was more money. Well, after I configured it to what I wanted, and removed unneeded items (modem and speakers), I ended up with a much, much better system with all top quality components and many extras for $777.00 (which is cheaper than the $711 from the other company when you factor in all the extras I got with the ABS system...faster processor, keyboard, mouse, 2 cd rom drives (1dvd), better hard drive, better case, etc).

Live and learn. You can't go wrong with ABS. They are #1 in my book, for over 6 years and counting.

I decided to call them back again and this time everything went well. No wait to connect to CS. CS took care of it and will be shipping me a new system asap. I will let everyone know how the swap goes.

The Original Problem was just the first for me and this PC.This PC has been nothing but trouble since day 1.

For the last month and half the ABS PC locks up about every 30 minutes to and hour with a Blue Screen "Machine_Check_Exception" hardware error.

I called the Non ABS 24/7 tech service and they suggested replacing the motherboard,power supply,memory and cpu fan. ABS called me the next day and said they would just send new memory and a new cpu fan. I installed the fan and new memory hoping that would fix the persistant lock ups, but it had no effect at all.

I called ABS Tech support back on 1/23 and 1/26 and did not receive a call back until the 27th from tech support.he suggested that I request to trade out the old PC for a new one since the problems I am having could be very severe and hard to find the exact hardware causing the lock ups.

I was transfered to customer service and after 10 minutes was disconnected and had to call back. When I did call CS back,they said they would have to speak with a supervisor before they could "OK" the swap for a new PC. I am awaiting a call back from CS to get this PC switched out for a new one. Im not after a refund,I just want a PC that works properly.

ABS tech support has not been very helpful at all to me,i feel very rushed when I do finally get ahold of them and they seem to just want to pass the problem off to the "onsite service" company.

This is a business PC and Ive been reduced to saving my files every 2 minutes and praying it doesnt lock up before i can make a save.

I am awaiting the call from CS to set up the swap,I will update this review when they call me back to set up the switch.


THE FIRST REVIEW:

I ordered an "Awesome 3300" PC and was very pleased at the way the sale was handled. It was built and shipped out in just a few days and they even called the day it arrived to check if I like the PC.

I recieved the PC on a tuesday and didnt take it out of the box till friday due to remodeling my home office.

When I ordered the PC they told me they would partition the 120GB hard drive any way i needed. I told them to put Xp on C with a 10gb partition,and leave the remainder for partition D. D was to be my main drive. I was assured it would be no problem when ordered.

After getting the PC hooked up and ready to get back to work on my clients,i realized the Hard drive was partitioned completely wrong. They had D Partitioned at only 5GB! and C was the large partition at over 100GB. completely wrong and i had no idea how to resize a partition.

Its not a major deal,but when i called and emailed Customer Service back(Megan Miller) about the problem i received 1 reply to contact CS for a RMA.When i did speak with customer support via phone they said that id have to fix it myself and Ive emailed over 8 times since 11/18 and have yet to receive any replies from anyone at ABS customer support.

I am pleased with the quality of the PC except that it wasnt delivered as ordered and customer service has not even tried to correct this issue.The Quality of the PC is great,but their customer support leaves alot to be desired. I was hoping this would be the place to order all my friends and co workers PC's in the future,but the lack of customer support I received will have me buy elsewhere from now on.
