never do business with them again

"first they tried to sell me a mini split air conditioner telling me i could easily do the install myself, totally bogus. i should have learned my lesson. i bought some direct vent equipment from them for a boiler based on their description which was inaccurate. when i got the stuff and read the installation instructions i realized i'd need the bigger vent. even to exchange with them, they'd charge a 15% restocking fee and shipping both ways. and, this is on something that was at least partially their fault because of a poor description. never again. i use supplyhouse.com for everything and they are the exact opposite, totally professional, knowledgeable, and bend over backwards to help the customer out."

Price does not = service

"I will be as thorough, honest and fair as I can be with this review. I ordered over $8,000 of equipment from AC Wholesalers purely based on the cost savings vs my local HVAC people. My HVAC guy is a friend, the AC Wholesalers price is lower than my licensed HVAC friend can buy from the local distributor.
So, after doing much due diligence, reading all of the fine print, understanding and accepting all of the policies, I decided to make the purchase. One of my requirements for the agreement was that ALL of my parts / items ship together. Not in separate shipments. AC Wholesalers has a 48 hour after delivery inspection window. I wanted my HVAC friend to come inspect everything at delivery, and I didn't want him to have to come multiple times because of multiple deliveries. You have 48 hours to have your equipment inspected for damage - otherwise any problems become a warranty issue. HUGE DIFFERENCE.
So I repeatedly requested all of my items are shipped on the same day - or more accurately, be delivered on the same day. This was repeated numerous times, emphasized, prioritized. I understood my shipment would potentially be delayed instead of the 2 - 3 day shipping advertised on their website - no problem.
So, I receive my shipping notification, I am in regular contact with AC Wholesalers working with / speaking with a supervisor (again, large order). He assured me everything would ship together, at the same time. 1 item was on backorder, so the rest of the order would be delayed. No problem, I accepted. 2 days later I get notified from my local delivery company I have a delivery ready to be delivered. I contact AC Wholesalers to inquire - sure enough, part of my order HAD been shipped, not all of it. So AC Wholesalers had to contact the delivery company to negotiate them holding the equipment until the remainder of the shipment arrived, therefore the 48 hour inspection clock didn't start. 2 more weeks go by, I am "TOLD" all of my order is ready for delivery, everything is there. I accept, I schedule the delivery. I take a video of the moment the man exits the truck and starts to unload my 2 pallets of equipment. I video'd the entire delivery process. The packaging looked good, I did not see any type of damage, so I signed the delivery paperwork. 3 hours later my HVAC guy comes to inspect the equipment. My licensed HVAC guy was the ONLY one to open the contents of the pallets. I personally touched nothing. I was reading the packing slip / inventory list and marking off items as we validated they were received. Once complete, we noted numerous items missing. Critical items to the installation of my equipment. So, the 1 thing I stressed was critical, was repeatedly ignored and not accomplished by AC Wholesalers - deliver everything together, at the same time. They could not even accomplish something this simple.
So, I promptly message the supervisor with AC Wholesalers that I received the order, and what items was missing. Then, I had to go into scramble mode to replace the missing items locally so my AC install could proceed. My HVAC guy had to go to the local distributors or manufacture some items himself.
I purchased 1 central AC unit - it was missing the door covers off the cabinet, so my HVAC guy had to construct new door covers from sheet metal. The sheet metal doors are sheet metal gray, the rest of the AC cabinet is hunter green, doesn't look very good.
The other system is a Daikin 4 head unit 36k (3ton) mini split system. Again, all of this was inspected at the time of delivery, no obvious defects. Because of the partial delivery, my installation was delayed beyond the 48 hour inspection window. Because there were items missing, and my HVAC guy had to procure items from the local distributors, he had to reschedule the installation which pushed it outside of the 48 hour inspection window. Here's why that is CRITICAL.
During the 48 hour inspection window - any problems are handled by AC Wholesalers as a RMA issue. Meaning you deal directly with AC Wholesalers for a resolution to the issue - AT NO COST TO YOU.
If you discover a problem outside of the 48 hour inspection window it becomes a warranty issue with the manufacturer, ONLY parts are covered, not labor. So, of course the brand new out of the box Daikin 36K 3 Ton has a problem only discovered when we finally did the install (after obtaining the missing items from partial shipment). My HVAC guy spent over 4 hours on phone with Daikin support, they determined the logic / main board is bad. So he drove to the other side of town, came back, spent 2 more hours replacing the board and no difference. So, 3 more hours on phone with Daikin support (1 hour waiting for human) they determined the compressor is bad. (BRAND NEW UNIT). So, Daikin has to ship a new compressor (refused to swap units) to me. I have to continue paying my HVAC guy more labor to now replace the compressor, at least another 4 hours

THEY ARE HORRIBLE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

"Ordered a unit from them and it was delivered to another business down the street causing us a lot of problems because they kept saying it was delivered to us. Thank goodness the other company called us to let us know they had the unit. Call these inept people back and told them they could call and ask the other company if they received it. They said they had to talk to the shipping company who insists they delivered it to us. Even though they had a SIGNATURE from the other company's employee. Obviously the idiot delivery driver can't read his numbers and is going to insist he delivered it to the right address, he doesn't want to get in trouble. AC Wholesalers said it is against their policy (??!) to call the other business to confirm they received the unit not us. They stonewalled and refuse to acknowledge they are in the wrong and give us at the very least a freaking apology if not a concession. AC WHOLESALERS NEEDS TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS! STAY AWAY, STAY WAY AWAY. "

Avoid these scammers at all costs. The money saved won't be worth it!

"I ordered an in-stock Amana PTAC 14,700 BTU unit on Sept. 13th. Although I was charged immediately, the item was not shipped until the 6th. The item was damaged in transit, and I requested a replacement. AC Wholesalers was completely non-responsive, and after several emails, stated a return window of 48 hours to reject the claim.

As you can see on their site, the stated return window of their policy is 30 days.

Before you buy, look through the reviews on this site - you'll see consistently that this company misrepresents their stock, fails to respond to customers, and ships damaged or non-working items. Just quickly scanning through other reviews shows phrases like "I feel cheated and hood-winked", "they do not stand by anything", and "completely ridiculous". I should have taken this more seriously before buying.

Is the savings vs. competitors worth rolling the dice and dealing with the frustration of a refund that you won't get?

Is it worth having a giant 200 lb box sit in your home for months while you try to work through their process with customer "service"?

This isn't how a company should behave in 2018. Let's vote with our dollars and put scammers like this out of business. Dispute and litigate!

Poorest service I've ever received by a company!!

"This is not a review of this heater I ordered, which I'm sure is fine, however, I will never know. I ordered it on 11/19/18 and my order never progressed past "Processing". Since I work the hours the company is open, I sent emails to their customer service address. I received a prompt notice that I would hear from the company within 24-72 hours, needless to say, I never heard back from them. I wrote them 3 more times and finally cancelled my order, when they refused to respond.

Normally, I wouldn't be this angry (especially this time of year) about a product being late or Out of Stock but this was not the case with this heater. It was available and was suppose to ship within 2 days of order receipt. And, while I didn't expect it to come for a week or more, I still scheduled an electrician to install it more than 20 days after the order (12/12/18). I needed this heater for a room that we are remodeling for guests coming for the holidays and now I have to put them up in a hotel, since we don't have a heated room.

My son recommend this company because they were very helpful when he built his house and got him a really good deal on a HVAC system. I thought I couldn't go wrong. Beware this company, they could care less about your business.

DO NOT BUY from this Scammers!

"This company is a Scam!
1) I purchased a Mini Split system and they sent me wrong line set! I contacted them to return and send me the right one and they refused to do that because past 30 days, It is their fault and they didn't accept it. I ended up spending another $300 to buy new one from local store.
2) Their Customer suport is VERY POOR! They are really not helpful at all! They didn't provide me an authorized dealer or service company so I ended up paying extra money to find local Cooling and Heating company to install as non of them want to install someone's units. They kind of force you to buy theirs unit. The price might be ok but all the haslle with Customer Suport and installation is adding extra money. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I will never purchasse from this Scammers anymore even I was going to get another three units.

If you call in and have ordered before you will have towait until your rep services you which results in long hold times and poor service. Even if they offer you awhopping 5% discount you will pay more for these products than you would retail at Home Depot. Don't waste your time with them. Pick ups take hours and shipping takes forever."

Sold me "in stock" items that they did not have. Charged my credit card days after cancelling the orders. Don´t pick up the phone.

"I've been scammed and they took money from my credit card for a cancelled order. This company advertises in stock products they don´t have. They dismissed my complaints. I cancelled the order but they still charged my credit card. ACWholesalers took an order for a Daikin split Heat Pump set on 27th July. Both the web page and the order indicated the item was in stock. The representative I placed the order with confirmed that the item was in stock, and would be delivered no later than August 3rd. I also placed a second Internet order for accessories, also in stock. On August 1st I contacted the company. "Ricky" told me the split set was on back-order. I asked to talk to a manager and he refused. He said they were all too busy. I asked to be called back. "Rafael" called me the day after, to tell me the unit was on back-order, He had no reason for the delay of the second (accessories) order. He refused to send me other equal/better unit at same price on the basis that I "should not expect to get a Cadillac when I was paying for a Ford". Later that day he gave me a different explanation (the set I ordered had been discontinued). He offered alternative units at web price (no price match). He also could not justify why the policy of back-ordered products, which states "We will notify you by email to inform you of which items are on backorder and of their estimated ship dates. This email is sent within 1-2 business days of the order being placed", was not followed. I sent an email on Aug 3rd explaining my dissatisfaction and cancelling both orders in writing. I took time-stamped screenshots to follow up the order status and cancellation.
They cancelled the main order, but not the accessories. I called multiple times (records available) from 5th August to 7th Aug but they did not accept the cancellation by putting me on hold and/or pushing me through different departments. On August 8 they charged my credit card in the amount of $168.85 for a "partial shipment" of the second (accessories) order, even after providing instructions (by telephone and in writing) that the orders were cancelled. In the meantime I bought the same unit from a different merchant, who delivered in time, proving the unit was not in back-order nor discontinued.

"Their "customer service" is horrible. I had to call 4 times regarding a refund for a return in which I followed their absurd rules to the letter. One call I was put on hold for an hour, and the 4th call they actually hung up on me! I had to finally submit a dispute with my credit card company. "

"This company has got to be some sort of scam operation, they took my order for a Goodman GSX140361 and sat on it for 4 weeks with no contact, no progress, no updates, despite the item GSX140361 showing in stock and shipping within 1-2 business days, verbatim from the site:

In fact, I just called their customer service today to inquire about my order, again, and the item GSX140361 shows as:

84 In-Stock
Ships Wednesday, Aug 8th

Yet I was told today on the phone the item GSX140361 is back-ordered for 1-3 weeks. What?

False advertising and terrible service.

Goodman 2.5 AC System w/TXV

"Very happy with purchase from ACWholesale. Good price and easy order process. 3rd party delivery service Old Dominion I am not happy with. Promised delivery date and time was missed twice even after calling local Old Dominion in Bloomington, Ca to find out hold up. OD rep apologized for missed delivery date Fri. They rescheduled for early Sat delivery (7-9am) but by 10am I called again only to find out delivery was never scheduled. Was promised delivery between 11am and 2pm. By 1:45pm no delivery. Called again to get status and was told it should be at work site. Delivery was made at 2pm in 108 degree weather. Customer and my technician were not happy.

Great price, quick delivery

"Me and my AC guy found ACWholesalers on the web. Neither of us had ever used them. I bought a 3 ton AC, furnace, coil and refrigerant with a 10 year manufacturers warranty for just under $2,200 - much less than I was finding anywhere else. I paid with my credit card on their website. My order was shipped from Florida to Houston and I got it in 5 days - 2 days to process and 3 days in transit. The system was delivered right to my house and put in my garage. Delivery was on time and painless. We installed the system yesterday with no issues whatsoever. I received everything as ordered and the system is working perfectly. I'm really impressed with my experience with ACWholesalers and will be using them when I replace my other HVAC system. I've already referred them to a friend. "
