"Spent over $600 on a new camera and accessories. Among them was a memory card that lost all my pictures taken overseas in the very first trip.
I don't remember exact card price, but it was, probably, in the vicinity of $20 or so.
Since the transaction was done over-the-phone, and no confirmation was received by e-mail, I had problem finding the order#, etc. Then I found it and called Abe's of Maine. "Too late. We're not going to accept the return"- was their answer. The Customer Service woman rep. sounded more like a prosecutor than somebody who should care for customers.
Well, I lost $20, but they lost a customer who bought a lot from them in the past and is getting ready to spent thousands to update his equipment.
And I hope this short review will help others decide if they want to be treated this way.
UPDATE: Right after I published the negative review on this site, I received a call from Frank who said he was a Customer Service manager at Abe's of Maine. Frank apologized for the treatment I received from the first rep and is going to issue a refund check today.
Well, this is a good way to retain a customer. Let's say it was an unfortunate glitch and give Abe's the benefit of a doubt.
I'm changing my rating accordingly.

"After over a week of waiting I check my order and it says that order is still not shipped. I call customer support and waited approximately 30 minutes and finally getting transferred to someone named "Joe" at extension #266, he told me they were trying to contact me to figure out which TV I wanted since there are two types of the one I ordered. I ordered a Samsung 40'' H6350. He states there is a retail version and a commercial version, supposedly the commercial version is meant to be used as a monitor and a retail is the one I want which costs more. I thought I was getting a good deal but instead they wanted instead of $539, $599, which is $60 higher. Also told me mine comes with only a 90 day warranty instead of the 1 year warranty, he told me he will e-mail me with the two models and that I can call him back with my decision. I checked on their website it is same model that is on Samsung's website which only offer one version. I compared his email the specs were the same and box contents were the same so it should be same version, only difference I saw was one states it has a 1 year in home warranty and the other a supposed "limited warranty" in warranty information on their website there was no mention of a "limited warranty" at all. I contacted samsung and they insisted they only have one version of the tv. searching online did not turn up any "residential" or "commercial" version of samsung tv's just one model. I called him back and also mentioned the bad reputation and scam tactics I read about their business, he got defensive and said he will ship out the tv I ordered. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he refused and just said he will ship the tv i ordered and hung up. Never answered my question of why there was even an 8 day delay in shipping out my order."
