"Purchased a 50mm prime lens for Canon 6D. Next day I received a call from Roy who reviewed my order for me, then told me I ordered an import model. After this I told him I did not realize this, he switched the order to regular USA retail model with 1 year warranty. And best of all he gave me a deal on the lens which saved me a bunch of money. Also recommended a filter for the lens. This is the 3rd time I've purchased from ABES and I have to say they are a amazing place and would recommend them to any of my friends"

"ust got hit by these guys too.. Ordered a hard to find TV.. called before placing the order and confirmed pricing and availability of 3pcs. Placed the order and 3 days later i get a call and the guy tells me there are two versions of this TV and they have both the good version and the bad version.. because samsung made some of them with a substitute panel made by AUO or sharp.. and it doesn't look as good as the nice version.. and if i want the nice version i have to pay 3300 instead of the 2600 the allowed me to order online for. what the guy doesn't know is i own a electronics distributor that sells these panels, and I know that he is lying.. I call him out and tell him to cancel the order and that i would be plastering the internet with what they did.. which i am currently in the process of doing.. He backs off says he will talk to his boss about honoring the price on the GOOD version of the TV.. and call me back.. i told him to cancel and ran for my life.. stay away from this company.. they are bad bad news.."

"Buyer Beware - Bait and Switch tactics used by Abe's. Odered a 55UB9500 LG TV on Christmas day because it was a great deal, $500 lower than competitors. Even talked my uncle into ordering the same deal. Well, got a call 2 days later stating the TV I purchased is an Industrial/Business model with only a 30 day warranty, not the home version with 'better display' and 1 year warranty for $500 more. No where on the listing on their site was this mentioned, and stressed my dissatisfaction, Ted offered to 'give me a deal' , included white glove delivery and the 'home version' at his cost for $250 more than listed. Being lied to, I naturally refused as doing business with these types is not recommended. Their word means nothing."

"Bait and switch seems their method of operation.
Initially showing a great low price. Delayed shipping lead to me calling them to check the order status. Once contacted they came up with a "commercial vs. residential" offering saying I could get the "better" residential version for an additional $230. The commercial was supposedly lower quality. Please note their website says nothing about the supposed difference between the two, it never mentions the difference between the two. The plainly stated 1 year warrranty on the website mysteriously becomes a 90 day warranty....after placing an order. All in all this business runs a classic bait and switch. To avoid long wait times on hold and annoyances I suggest you buy elsewhere.
I cancelled the order and placed it elsewhere.
*edit - I contacted LG and asked if they offered two versions of the television and was told only one version was made but to watch for knock offs. Bottom line Abe's was either not telling the truth or selling fake LGs, I am unsure which is the case. Please avoid Abe's and look for more reputable dealers
**Second Edit**
I was contacted by one of Abe's customer service individuals by the name of Frank. Of the 4 people from Abe's I had spoken with he was the only one who seemed concerned with trying to resolve our issue. If more of their customer service people were like Frank I think we could have concluded the transaction satisfactorily.
Due to their business practices which I do not agree with we were unable to complete the transaction but Frank did make a genuine effort.
I will consider using Abe's in the future when they finally clearly define what they are selling on their webpage and clearly identifying the different options and costs of the products they offer. As things currently stand there are too many variables that result in increased costs or sub-standard quality when ordering from their website."
