"I am very, very, very, upset with my experience with the Academic Superstore. I didn't think that I was able to order because I wasn't enrolled in any classes as a student, but instead I unknowingly had placed two orders for the same product. I found this out through an email, telling me one an order had already shipped! When I called customer support, they were unable to cancel the order that had already shipped, although I had unknowingly placed the order 2 hours before. Luckily, I was able to cancel the other order. I am hoping I can return the product that is shipping without penalty. Shipping was also very expensive. "

"I also love the Academic Superstore's Prices. I have ordered from them many times in the past and never had a problem. HOW EVER Things have changed. In this case I ordered several $1000 in software and training material. Added 2 day shipping. Items were a no show. Checked email to discover the items had not been shipped. Called for assistance to find that the Texas based company now uses Indian Support. "Strike One". I inquire about my order and am told my card was denied. Call the bank. No the company put the wrong date on the order. Called back. So sorry and corrected. Checked next day to see order had still not been shipped. "STRIKE TWO". Called back. So sorry, all items but "1" are on BACK ORDER! Seriously? I place the initial order by phone. No mention of a back order. I corrected a mistake, By Phone, no mention of a back order. I has now been 4 days for an overnight order and nothing has been shipped AND I have never received any notification. "STRIKE THREE". My statement: "Please Cancel this order and send receipt" Operator Statement. Well Sir, I am sorry for the inconvenience but we cannot refund your overnight shipping! ???????????? Called Bank, Complained. Order Cancelled and Future Billing Blocked. NEVER AGAIN and that's too bad. We have spent $1000s on software when they were in Texas. PS: Went to Adobe direct. Received the same discount and "Ta Dah" Item arrived the next Day! Needless to say. No receipt has ever been forwarded."

"I got $500 dollars worth of stuff for $100. You can't beat it. Everyone else was at least $40 more than that. They wanted my Student ID, so I gave it to them. I talked to them on the phone too. A guy was very soft spoken, but otherwise no problems. I also called with a shipping question (to post office boxes), and talked with a girl. I'd use 'em again. Killer prices. Really."

"Worst online ordering in over 10 years of internet purchasing - horrendous. Took over an hour to complete the order and still not sure if the product will ever ship.

"Customer service" is in Manilla, and it's obvious they are pretty much clueless / inept (but blame corporate management vs. the helpless / clueless reps).

This site is owned by DIGITAL RIVER, one of the worst companies in online marketing I have ever experienced.

"This company does not live up to it's promises. They promised me an upgrade to Office 2010 almost a year ago. I've spent countless hours on the phone waiting, speaking to them, and writing them. Their president is Nathan Jones at ****@**** but he doesn't even bother responding to emails and won't get on the phone. BUYER BEWARE!!! This company should be out of business soon!"

"I won't repeat what so many other reviewers have said accurately. In summary, Academic Superstore must be on its last legs, because the entire operation is crumbling. I ordered once from them a year ago, and they were OK. I ordered again from them this month, and experienced disorganization and disaster.

But there is hope! Simply realize that you can get the same exact price from Adobe's company web site, and deal with competent and caring customer support. You need to deal with Adobe anyway in order to get a serial number to unlock your student/teacher edition, so why not just order from them in the first place, do it all in one step, and save yourself hassle.

"Simply HORRIBLE customer service. I wanted to purchase four copies of MS Office for my students. Had to wait on hold for 1/2 hour to speak to someone (with a bad accent) who told me that I couldn't have four copies....would I like to change it to one?. Wait a minute, I have FOUR students. No one I spoke to could actually help me. Seriously, save yourself trouble and go over to studentdiscounts.com. Very nice and worked with me to figure out what they needed as far as identification for my students."

"STAY AWAY! These guys are unreliable and you will never be able to get to them, email or otherwise. We were trying to purchase a camera for our child's photography class use. We provided all our payment information and after a week of waiting for confirmation of shipment, our order number still indicates the order in process!!! We called, we emailed and did everything we could and not a word from Academic Superstore. They are either a scam or they are going out of business, so be very careful if you do have to order from them. We actually ended up at Best Buys and got an even better price, so check before you go to these guys."

"I am very dissapointed with Acedemic Superstore. I payed extra money to have my products sent to me overnight. I did not receive my product overnight, so I tried to contact somebody and nobody answered or replied to my emails. I want to know why i havent received my products, ide like my money back for shipping, and noticed 2 of the 5 items are still 'processing' not happy."

"Customer service could BARELY speak English! ugh!!! Then I paid for overnight shipping, with the understanding they need to verify my status as a student, my order was placed on Tuesday and it's Friday! Called their customer service - my order has been sent to the shipper but she has no clue when it will actually be shipped! REGARDLESS if I paid $19.50 for overnight shipping!!

Will NOT do business with the company again!!!

"My purchase is turning into a NIGHTMARE! - Was told the product would ship in 3-5 days but now 11 days later they tell me the product hasn't shipped- They can't tell me anything- I have called several times with the promise they'll get back to me - Finally I attempted to cancel the order but was told I would have to wait a week because both supervisors were in the Phillipines! ¿No one was left in charge? "DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE!!!!!

I have ordered the new Microsoft package (the download version) from them on 12/10 and still have not received the link to download it! I had called a few weeks ago to see what exactly what I needed to do to get "verified" so when my new laptop came in, there wouldn't be a problem downloading the program. I was told that if my school was listed, then there wouldn't be a problem with my "verification" and that I didn't need to send anything in after all. Upon questioning the customer service about this, she again reiterated that everything would be fine, and that as soon as my computer came in, I'd be able to automatically download the program after the purchase. WRONG!!!! I've been waiting for going on 3 days now for them to "Verify" my order and "Process" my order. When I called customer service to see exactly what was going on, I spoke to a VERY RUDE gentlemen that basically blamed ME for the miscommunication on my order. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that I couldn't "because they were too busy, and there is no one else". SERIOUSLY!!! This company is a RIP OFF and their customer service is AWFUL! I've honestly never been spoken to like that by a customer service representative before. I will NEVER use this company again for any future services. Oh, I should receive the link for my download "sometime today, possibly tomorrow"...we'll see!!
