"After ordering a mixed package of products at first it seemed all ok and prompt shipment was confirmed. Then a sad saga took place full of lies and misleading information. I received a confirmation that the package has been delivered to my address on certain day. It was double confirmed. BUT: the day in question was even a Sunday where at least in Switzerland no postal or carrier service is operating. The best proof of a full scale lie. After several intervention they wanted offer 10% discount for a parcel never made. Today I am convinced that the shipment was never made and this money making on scamming customers can be regarded as professional. Amazon should remove this company from their list it damages the trust in them as well severely. "

Based on what I was reading at this website I was apprehensive about even doing business with them, but they had the best price on the planet for the item I was needing. The potential savings even on this modest purchase made it seem worth the gamble.
Was it worth the gamble? Oh yeah!
My experience with AceHardwareOutlet.com was completely positive. Their communication practices are as good as anyone's and better than many.
I had an initial inquiry where I emailed them and had a reply in a few hours. They assured me the item I was interested in was in stock (I did not even ask them that.) When I went to place the order I utilized their live chat service and was greeted promptly and courteously and reassured by the attention to my concern.
The shipping notification came in a timely manner. Product was delivered well within anticipated time frame. Product was as described in factory packaging full instructions and no missing parts. I even received a notification from them that the item reportedly had been delivered.
I imagine if something goes wrong with an order that one places on-line, the natural reaction is to spread the word. Oftentimes a good experience is expected and taken for granted. I for one wanted to jump in here to say Great Work to the People Of Ace Hardware Outlet!

"I was looking for the best price I could get on "Culligan CW-F Sediment Filters - 10 Micron" 2 pack. The average price is $7-$8. I came across this site (acehardwareoutlet.com)and found a 2 pack for the price of $4.45, a savings of 36%-44%. AND if you you spend over $50, it is FREE shipping.
I used the "Live Chat" on the site to confirm that the price of $4.45 was for a two pack and not for each filter. The price was truly for a 2 pack as shown.
So I ordered 12 two packs, 6 years of filters for a total of $53.40. Where the price would have been $84-$96 not including shipping at other sites.
Granted, when I was researching this site of Ace Hardware Outlet, I was worried some due to the feedback of the site, but I figured that if the items were false or I did not get what I expected, I only lose $53.40; but if it was true, I would not have to worry about filters for the next 6 years and it would save me money.
I placed the order on 08/02/11 and it was shipped on 08/05/11. I received the package today on 08/10/11. I compared the packages of filters with one I bought from the store and it has the proper markings, labels, and appears to be the same.
This time, it appears that it worked out for me. I even suggested this deal to a friend who also has the need of these filters.

"I ordered 4 boxes of Christmas lights on December 12 and it was supposed to ship on the 16th of December. I received an email on the 17th that 2 boxes of the lights I order were not in stock and would I like to cancel that portion of the order. After speaking to the customer service rep. I was then told that the other 2 boxes of lights were not available either. Therefore they charged my credit card without ever having the merchandise in stock and I was assured that I would receive a refund within 10 days. Today is January 2nd and I have yet to receive a refund for a product that was not in stock to begin with. I'm really disappointed and will contact them tomorrow to get my money back."
"It has become apparent to me that acehardwareoutlet.com has no inventory whatsoever. It's as if they transmit all their orders to a fulfillment house somewhere in China, which would explain why it takes them weeks just to process orders, much less ship them.
"In stock" and "ships within 1-2 business days" are just lier statements they use to hook you into placing an order. Then customer no-service strings you along further with more lies and endless excuses. In the meantime, these slime-bags charge your credit card, which shouldn't happen until goods are shipped.
Having had enough of this nonsense, I called to cancel my order, and since you can't trust anything they say, I insisted on a conformation email and kept the rep on the phone until I received it. Also, I will be issuing a charge-back if they don't post my refund promptly.

"I ordered a replacement coffee carafe for my coffee maker. The web site claimed it would fit my model but when it arrived it didn't. When I called to return the product they said I would have to pay shipping back and a restocking fee. I recognize that this was their return policy that I saw before ordering, but they charged $13 to ship an $8 product and then made me pay to send it back when their description was incorrect. So now I've paid over $20 and wasted hours of my time and still can't make a cup of coffee.
Bottom line: their shipping prices, return policy, and customer service are awful. I'll never order from them again. And I hope you don't either. "
"I've been ordering from Ace Hardware Outlet ever since the NY Times wrote about them several years ago. What keeps me coming back? Low prices!!!
I have ordered a large variety of items over the years from Ace Hardware Outlet- from water filters to kitchen products (stand mixer, toaster) to window insulation to room heaters to water test kits. Everything has arrived promptly and in good condition.
I like that Ace Hardware Outlet is a small family run business, and that they make an effort to conserve the environment by using air bags and biodegradable peanuts instead of styrofoam peanuts.
It's strange that there are multiple one star reviews on this site, all by people that have never reviewed anything else. Because my experience has been very good, and Ace Hardware Outlet has excellent reviews on Ebay and Amazon :)
