"I bought a computer from Adamant computers at a Marketpro show. When I got the computer home, it didn't work. I had to pay to ship the computer back to Adamant. They wouldn't reimburse me for this. When I finally got the computer back, it had been damaged during shipping. I had to pay to send it back to them and am still waiting to be reimbursed 6 months later. I will never purchase anything else from them. Customer service is horrible. The warranty isn't worth the paper it comes on since you have to pay to ship everything back."
"On November 5th I placed an order for a PNY Geforce6800GT. I'd been running into problems with parts I wanted being out of stock, so I wanted to make sure they actually HAD it. (part was listed to ship in 5-7 days, leading me to believe it was indeed in-stock) When I saw that there was an option provided by Adamant.com to automatically cancel any backordered parts, I was impressed. I wanted to make sure I'd get the piece in a timely fashion, and wanted to be informed if that wouldn't be the case.
I recieved an order confirmation e-mail shortly after placing the order. This confirmation had in it my instructions to cancel any backordered items, and made no mention of the Video card being on back order. I figured I'd have my card soon.
5 days later, I finally hear from the company... They finally wrote to tell me that the some 200 Cards they were to **recive on the 10th** did not come in, and that they could not fulfill my order. They would, however, be gracious enough to hold my order open until the manufacturer sent them a sufficient quantity to fulfill my order. Though they weren't told WHEN that would be.
Obviously, my card WAS on backorder at the time of order, and they failed to fulfill at that time my request that backordered items be cancelled. 2 days after that email, I was informed that they would be getting thier shipment of cards in on the 17th of November, almost 2 weeks after I had placed the order. Utterly unacceptable.
Had I known the card was not in stock, I could have found another vendor immediately, purchased the card, and completed the build. As it stands now, my computer will be sitting for a further week waiting to be completed.
I will certainly NOT be going back to them for parts in the future, despite what appears to be highly competitive pricing."
"I ordered a complete system on a monday. Tusday the funds were taken out. That friday I had thought it was getting ready to ship until I got a phone call asking if the Graphics Card I had selected could be substituted because they were fresh out. I told them to cancel my order because I only wanted that card. Now it's monday, 3 days after I cancelled, and I still didn't get my money back into my account (it was a debit card purchase). It was a huge waste of a week, and now I have to wait for my money to get put back into my account until I can buy another compter from another company.
To make a long story short, they could have saved me a lot of time and trouble by seeing my order, checking the availability of the order, and either processing the order right away if everything was there, or cancel the order right away (as I had asked for in the order if anything was backordered). The day I canceled some other dude called me up (the original sales rep was real friendly and nice), barely speaking english, trying to get me to go with their substitute graphics card.
Why waste your time with a company that hasn't won a single award? Also, look them up at the Better Business Beurou. They have an unsatisfactory rating. I should have looked that up before I ordered. Look elsewhere. If you can find a company with CNET's approval of a PC, you're in good shape."

"I ordered a Zoom 56K V.92 modem. They shipped it promptly, but when I received it, it didn't have any manufacturer's name on it or it's CD. The modem only cost 11.99, but the shipping and handling charges were 9.52. I'll admit, I should have checked that prior to ordering. Needless to say, I sent it back. It is July 2 and they still haven't credited the RMA."
