"I had a series of bad experiences with Adorama, specifically the Used Department. After sending in my gear for assessment and getting a quote - which I thought was a little undervalued, but I understood I'm paying for the convenience. I then proceeded to make a $3,000 order after they promised they could "do great things" with the pricing of items ordered after a trade in. However, this is where things started to go wrong. They were about to send me the wrong item which would have charged me an extra $350 that I wouldn't have otherwise known about except I called in to see why I hadn't gotten a shipping confirmation. Then, after promising 2 day shipping, one of the packages wasn't sent out until a day later causing it to arrive after the wedding my wife and I had wanted to use it for. BUT HERE'S THE KICKER. That was a good thing, because they didn't tell me they were sending me a used lens WITH DOCUMENTED AUTOFOCUS ISSUES. I mean, seriously? You're just going to fail to mention the gear was used, and on top of that had critical issues? Totally unacceptable, and a great way to get customers to completely lose trust in you. Now, I'm questioning all my purchases with them, including the $2,000 "used but not really used" camera body. I will no longer be doing business with Adorama and will be telling anyone who asks me from my professional networks, etc. the same thing. Also, their "reputation management" review programs make it difficult to find a place to write an honest review of them, so consider that as well. Good luck with your purchase."
"This has happened to me several times before with Adorama . The website will list something as "IN STOCK" and will say that it will ship "TODAY". I place the order only to find out hours later that they DO NOT have the item IN STOCK and of course it hasn't shipped. I then have to cancel the order. This has happened at least 3 times. "

"I ordered a pair of walkie talkies (Motorola MT350R) on 11/06/2018, only to receive a pair of different ones (Motorola T460) two months later. Turned out they canceled what I ordered and went ahead with a different model. This company didn’t even check with customers for their opinion whether they wanted to just cancel the order, or have an alternative model instead in the first place. Upon reflecting the issue to their customer service, this company blamed the issue on the manufacturer and said it was the manufacturer who cancelled my original order and ordered me another product without my authorization. Hello?! That’s between you and your supplier. As a customer I was only supposed to deal with you the retailer. There’s a tremendous lack of professionalism in this company. Will never deal with this company again."
