"I’ve had 2 large orders cancelled in 2 years for special occasions. If you don’t trust your sellers and need to cap orders, say so on your website. Shipping went from 200 miles from my house to the west coast of the United States and back across, 15 days later after expedited shipping.
If your management strategy is to sell less due to trust or team aptitude with broken communication, you’re succeeding. If not, your management and strategy team needs to do gutted and redefine your mission. "
