"Early today I wrote a review for ajRichies. I have since received a call from Roger. He addressed all of my concerns about my purchase. He also included the items that were supposed to come with the camera and also the item that I ordered but could not remember what it was. I only wish that
whoever is in charge of this compnay would give some training to their customer service department, this would make all of
their customers happy and I am sure a happier customer service

"Well, kind of wishing I would have read these reviews before I purchased my camera. $2,200 is a lot of money to have no confirmation if your order is even on its way. For the most part, when I'm actually on the phone with someone, they are very friendly and helpful, but I have been lied to multiple times. The assistant manager (Jeff) that I just talked to today said that I should get my tracking number by today and that I should have my camera by Thursday of next week and if I don't then I can get a full refund. He even said he would throw in an extra 5 hr battery because of my wait. (We'll see if that happens) I am really hoping it comes by Thursday, even though I ordered it specifically so that it would come by tomorrow. The salesman that I talked to at first (who was very nice) told me that it would definitely be here by the end of this week. Well it hasn't come :/ So I guess I won't be able to shoot tomorrows wedding with it :/ I did get a great deal on the camera, so if it comes by Thursday, then I will change my rating, but as of right now, I can't say that I would ever recommend this place to anyone. If they would just tell you the truth, or not make you wait at least 10 minutes on hold every time you call, this could be a pretty good business. But as of right now I am not impressed!

Also, these wonderful reviews are pretty funny. There has to be someone specifically hired from AJ richies that sits at his desk all day writing these. ;) That would be a pretty easy job though! :)

Update:

It is now Thursday, August 15th and the camera has still not come. I talked to a man on Friday who said that he was sure a tracking number would get to me by the end of last week and that the camera should be here by the beginning of this week.... wellllll, big shocker, neither the tracking number, nor the camera came. Just talked to a guy on the phone a couple minutes ago and he said, "mam it says it was shipped." Yes, sir, I realize that you have said it has shipped. So has 4 other people that I have talked to and some 2 weeks ago. Last I knew it doesn't take 2 and a half weeks for a camera to enter from Japan to the United States. And even if it did, I have NEVER worked with a company who has had no idea a tracking number for this long. This is pretty much crazy stuff! I have been lied to more times than I can count by these people. If they literally just don't know or don't have an answer, at least say that they aren't sure. Don't promise someone something and then never deliver. Also I have had multiple people on here say that only "negative people" review on these sites. Well, probably because people only have negative experiences with you guys. Please please do not buy from this company!!! I am going to try to start the process of calling my bank and getting something reported.

"I do not live in US but am coming to US on a vacation so I asked a friend of mine to buy a canon lens for me from ajrichies.com. The lens was delivered on time and in good condition. I really appreciate that. However the promotional gifts such as table top tripod etc.. were missing in the box. After writing a negative review ajrichies contacted my friend and requested to change the review and that the promo gifts will be sent same day. As my issue was only the promo gifts, I had changed the review as the fellow on the phone assured of receiving them in a week. Now the box has been received but it has half the things than promised. The table top tripod(my main requirement) and the screen protectors are missing. I cannot understand why ajrichies.com is repeating its mistake. You advertise in big letters but fail to deliver the gifts as advertised. This is nothing less than cheating."

"I ordered a camera on 6/30 online. I later received an email that says I have to call them to confirm my mailing address. The first lady left me hold for 20 minutes so I hung up. The second call they tried to sell me batteries for the camera and when I said no thanks he tried to up sell me to the next model again I said no thanks. I have sent them emails requesting info about when am I going to receive the camera with no response. I just recently checked my credit card statement and have discovered that I was never charged for the camera. I would never ever trust these people again!"

"The company had a good sale and free shipping on a zoom lens that saved me 50% over what everyone else was selling it for.

UPDATE...
I received the lens today and it was exactly as advertised. It was a seriously great deal and customer service was nice. They did call to try to get me to add something extra to my order, which I did find a tad bit unusual, but I have had another east coast camera company do the same thing before. I said I didn't need any extras and the guy said OK. It was no biggie.

It was free shipping on the order too....it did take two weeks to get here, but that was fine with me. If I wanted it faster I could have had it expedited.

"I placed an order on July 14th. Today is July 26th and they have charged my credit card for my camera purchase but STILL HAVE NOT even been able to provide me a tracking number! I was promised verbally Expedited shipping. Not happening. I had to REQUEST an Updated invoice. All I had was an email that indicated Hey we charged your card 599.99 Have a good day. Ridiculous. No company header, no formal invoice. What gives?

This is ENTIRELY too long to sit around wondering where my 599.99 purchase might be. I am very disappointed. If I EVEN Get my camera, I cannot recommend this group to those who have normal patience and are not in any hurry to actually receive their purchases. Its like buying from Ashley Furniture- you can buy it but you wont be getting it any time soon.

I called today to see what the matter is and I got hung up on 4 times! Then I finally got a person and he just read the script that it has been processed and sent to fulfillment - which apparently is a black hole. I have to wait for an email. This is POOR Customer Service. I dont know about anyone else but 599.99 is a lot of money to me. And this is not what I expect for my money.

Im ready to call BBB and BMW Card services and see what kind of action I need to take.

As a FOLLOW up as of August 7, I called again on August 1 to cancel my order since the Online Shipping Status was now SHIPPED. If it had been, they would assess a fee for canceling. As it turns out- the Status on the Website does not accurately reflect the true status of the item. Uh-huh. I got transferred to the Shipping department and a helpful person named Roger. Roger assured me I would have my camera by August 6th. I was promised an email that day and we chatted about their logistics issues. I did not have an email that day but I did the next day. The tracking number was there. I was able to follow it on Fed Ex. Of course, I won't be home to sign for it on the 6th. I work in another city. I will miss the driver. But on August 7th, I did get a camera. And I did get a follow up call from Roger. The company should give Roger recognition for salvaging relationships for the overall experience. According to the Terms and Conditions on the website- I did receive my camera in 14 business days from the time they finally put my order in. In my book- that was 4 days after I placed the order. But not to them.
As I said before, if you have time, it's a good price. I hope they work through their shipping issues and improve the experience for all of us.

And for whatever reason - it will not update my overall satisfaction stars. I have moved it to Somewhat Dissatisfied. Definitely not indifferent and definitely not Somewhat Satisfied. I had to call and get information myself too many times.
