I placed the order, they sent the wrong part (although clearly indicated on the original order) and haven't even bothered to acknowledge my emails over the past 2 weeks. That's 20 bucks down the drain - live and learn, I guess.
Curiously, I will NOT be recommending them.

As an addendum to the above review, I've now sent copies of all my emails to AE Bike as of today (05/28/08), from two different accounts and I haven't had a single server time-out or bounce back on any of them (about six in total now). It'll be interesting to see if they say they havn't received those or I still haven't tried to contact them. And no, they're NOT getting caught in my spam filter.

Final addendum (06/18/08) - I did as they asked and sent all my emails to the gmail address and (surprise, surprise) they worked fine. They sent me the correct part and my order was finally fulfilled on 06/17/08, 2 months after the original order.
So at last I'm finally there. I thought they could have sent an apology or at least some acknowledgement of the hassles I've endured, but no such luck, just a bare replacement and nothing else.
They need to supply a secondary email as standard on their site to obviate such problems in the future and I still think their customer service is very defensive and perhaps more than a little arrogant, but at least they did fulfill the order.
Overall, neutral or just sub-par, I suppose. I might order from them again but it would help if they were less self-righteous and defensive.
