"Had difficulty finding someone to install it and surprised that it appears to need a lot of maintenance that is not easily accessible. I read instructions that talk about pulling it out of the sleeve for maintenance cleaning. This takes 2 men on a ladder. My tenant in the tiny house, where it was installed, is unable to make the remote "talk" to the unit and there is nothing in the instruction booklet that even mentions the remote. Maybe this PTAC is better suited to a commercial setting such as a motel. I have no idea who will service it. At the point when I was unable to find a company "who handles this type unit," I considered sending it back and getting a window, but learned it would cost something like $360 since I would have to pay shipping both ways, so I am determined to make it work and wish it didn't take determination."

"The delivery was fast and went without incident, the installation was completed by a licensed HAVAC professional. He stated the installation was a bit more trying than other brands he’d installed. However, the unit has been in my garage for around a day and 1/2 and is working like a champ in sunny, hot Florida. I am amazed at how quiet the inside and outside units when running. This unit is a replacement for a much more expensive unit. While I can’t compare the longevity of the two brands at this point, I can honestly say it is keeping our garage cooler than our Trane inside the house.
