"I originally went to Home Depot to buy a couple of end register boots for a renovation project on my kitchen. I’ve never tried to modify or install ductwork before, so although I watched several youtube videos to see how to do it properly, I didn’t realize that my flexible ducts were 7-in; diameter until I cut the first one in half and slid the 6-in diameter home depot version inside it. I was not happy when I found out that neither home depot nor lowes carried what I needed. I did not want to hassle with putting on a reducer, nor did I want to restrict my airflow, nor did I want to wait over a week to order online from them. So I started searching online for an HVAC supply store in Hampton Roads, but could not find one that sold to non-contractors. I came across Alpine from a google search, and saw that the raw price of the two boots was pretty cheap, but that shipping would make it semi comparable to the homedepot/lowes prices. I decided to take a chance with Alpine, and overall I am happy with what I received and how quickly it arrived. I was a little concerned at first because when I received the two boots, the 4x10 area that the grill fits into was not exactly a rectangle. The two 10-in sides were bowed out quite a bit. However, I was able to force them into the two 4x10 holes that I cut into my floor with no problems, and the rectangular opening I had cut forced the two bowed sides out perfectly. Afterward getting it into the hole, I used a screwdriver and pried it out slightly to caulk the connection, and then hammered one roofing nail through each side into the subfloor to lock them in place. For a newbie to HVAC work, I think I was a little slow, as it took me about four hours to do everything, including applying the mastic/glue stuff onto the boot and flexduct, and the cable tie, and the aluminum duct tape, and the insulation... but it was better than hiring someone to do it for me! At the moment I don’t foresee me needing to do anymore HVAC stuff on my house, but if I do I’ll use Alpine again in the event that homedepot or lowes doesn’t have what I need in stock."

"great company to work with. I wish all my shopping experiences were so easy. from the time I ordered the unit till delivery was 5 days, just as quoted. I believe I would have had the unit three days earlier had I not ordered it on a Thursday and had a weekend to deal with. the tracking number supplied showed the unit was shipped the same day it was ordered. I cant say enough about how satisified I was having such quick service. I will be recommending Alpine to all my friends and family,,,thank you, your a great company..keep up the great work."

"I was completely satisfied with Alpine. I talked with 2 different people and they were nice and very professional. Shipping on the other hand was not good. FedEX damaged boxes and failed to deliver all items. They did bring the missing box after I called and complained about their service."

"Lat year I used space heaters to get me through the last month of winter when my 25 year old furnace finally crapped out; simply because the $3000 to $5000 estimates I was getting for the replacement was just way to high. I searched on the net and found Alpine. After doing my research I chose the GMH80604BN 80% 60,000 btu furnace. It arrived in great shape, with the video; which does not have the furnace installation per se but does have the sheet metal transition instructions which is what I needed as I had someone else hookup the gas, electric and thermostat for $60. After all was said and done; I got a new furnace and with installation it was around $800.00 total. Beats the heck out of thousands of dollars."
