"On 1/1/15 I placed an order for a PXPC23020 3 Kw power cord and a WRT1 remote thermostat for my Freidrich PTAC unit. I should have known that it was a bad time to place the order, but did it anyway. I also paid the extra money for the 2 day air shipping. The Order was not actually processed until 1/5/15, the Monday after New Years Day. This was acceptable as it was Alpines first day back at work. The order arrived on Wednesday afternoon, within the 2 day window. Only problem was that the WRT1 remote thermostat was not in the box with the power cord even though the invoice said it was. Also I received e-mails saying the WRT1 was back ordered and a follow up e-mail that said the order had been completed and was being shipped. I contacted Alpine Customer Service and was connected to a most pleasurable and helpful young man named Cameron. I told Cameron about the incomplete order and he said he would try to find out what happened and why it failed to ship. In the course of our discussion I discovered that I had made a mistake in ordering the correct power cord and needed to return it and purchase the correct one. He was most helpful and very fast in issuing a RMA# so I could return the merchandise. After we cleared this up I told him that I noticed the shipment came from an address in Louisville, KY., and asked if it was possible for me to just go to the warehouse and make an exchange. He checked on doing that and said it would be possible. (I live 45 miles from the center and going to get a new cord would be much easier and quicker than shipping the old one back, waiting on a new one and paying new shipping costs). He also checked and told me that they had a WRT1 remote thermostat at the location and set it up for me to get that while I was there. Today, 1/8/15, I drove to the location only to find out that there was not one available. The lady at Yellow Supply said it was back ordered and that Freidrich was shipping it ASAP, and that I should get it sometimes next week. Although the mistakes by myself and someone in shipping has caused quite a bit of inconvenience for me, I must say that the people that I have dealt with regarding this matter have been courteous, professional, and as helpful as possible, including absorbing any additional costs that were or would have been incurred (ie: shipping, difference in cord cost, express shipping for the WRT1 ...). I want to commend Cameron for helping me to stay cool even though I began my conversation with him as "A very dissatisfied and irate Alpine customer". His demeanor and professionalism turned what could have been a very bad review into one that hopefully will help everyone (myself included) to double check there orders and shipments."

"The shipping was fast but the only problem was some of the sheet metal screws were over-tightened to the point of stripped and had to be replaced with larger ones. The install was a breeze and if it wasn't for the screws I would be ultra satisfied. Still a great bargain and the unit runs flawlessly."
