"I think this site is operating as a scam. My order has yet to be delivered (today is 04/08/06). There is no 800 number for contact. The links for emailing "Customer Service"--nonexistent--do NOT work. I finally discovered one link only that seemed to work (after days of trying); sent an email and ACTUALLY received an answer, "We will try to trace your package." That was on 04/03; NOTHING since. I WILL NEVER, EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone! I don't care what product or price they are offering; it wouldn't be worth the problems. "

Order placed, on December 01, 2005, for over $350.00 worth of window candles and ASB website claimed they were in stock. I did receive a prompt confirmation email regarding the order, but it did not mention that the items were not in stock. Things were looking good.
Due to having found this website AFTER placing order I contacted ASB to inquire as to when items would ship.
The reply:
"We expect this item to arrive back in stock on 12/8/05.
Your email will be forwarded to the web dept. so that the item availability can be corrected on the website."
Now that it is December 9th and the items ordered are for Holiday decorating I wrote again and was informed:
"We can ship the 1 we show in stock and will have to backorder the other
29. We expect more to arrive in 2-3 weeks.
We do not offer express delivery. All orders ship via USPS standard mail."
I would not recommend trying to buy items from this seller. The website is not correct, the communications are misleading and there was no effort put forth in trying to expidite my order or the shipping.

"It appears that they have no Customer Service at all. First problem I was charged shipping costs although on every page it stated Free Shipping on orders over $30. I sent 2 emails asking for adjustment and received no reply at all. However, when I got my charge bill the credit was there for the shipping. I did receive all the items I ordered, however one item was missing parts and could not be assembled. I sent out two emails again and wrote a letter. I finally got a email telling me that a prepaid return label would be sent to return the item but so far I have not received it. "I see there hasn't been any feedback left for this store for a while, so I'll provide an update. I ordered an item that was "in stock" on the web site, and got a confirmation. Then nothing. My order was still there on the "check account page, but there didn't seem to be anything going on. Turns out there's another way to check status, but you have to go through some "send email" screens to do it. On one of those screens, my items was shown as out of stock, with an anticipated ship date in two weeks. I canceled my order, then just out of curiosity I tried to find that item again on the web site. It was nowhere to be found! So apparently they received my order, figured out that they didn't have it in stock, and removed it from the web site...but didn't let me know it wasn't in stock. I would probably still be waiting a couple of weeks from now, wondering what the hell was going on.
To make matters worse, the "email us" screen says:
"You can use this form to e-mail us with compliments, questions or problems. Because it is secure, you may send sensitive information if required."
But the email screen is NOT secure, as shown by the "secure site lock icon" on my browser.
This company has serious customer service and security issues with their web site.

However, the price confirmed was not the reduced price that was advertised on their web site. I placed an order 8/15. Their policy states the product will be delivered 7-10 days after notification of shipping date. Have not heard anything from them. No product received. Can't call anyone to discuss it."
"I placed an order with AlwaysBrilliant.com for a rather expensive set of kitchen scales. The site didn't list availability. One week later, I had received no email or other contact from AlwaysBrilliant.com telling me the status of my order, or even that the order had been accepted. (The only way to confirm it was pending was to click on the "Lookup an existing order" link, which didn't work and redirected me to their homepage the majority of the time).
After a week, I contacted AlwaysBrilliant.com to enquire as to the status of my order. I clearly stated in that email that if the order hadn't shipped and wouldn't ship that day, I wanted it cancelled.
A few hours later, I received a response which:
a) Didn't apologise for the problem
b) Stated that the item was on backorder for 20 days after the order date
c) Told me that unless I emailed again, my order would continue to be kept live (despite my having said I wanted it cancelled if it wouldn't ship the same day).
I have cancelled my order with AlwaysBrilliant.com, and even after pointing out that they failed to so much as offer a word of apology for inconveniencing me, my final contact from them again neglected to say so much as the word "sorry" or anything remotely like it - just "your order has been cancelled".
* AlwaysBrilliant.com's website is poorly constructed and frequently doesn't work at all
* AlwaysBrilliant.com doesn't provide any notification by email of orders received
* AlwaysBrilliant.com doesn't provide any notification of out-of-stock items on product pages, on check-out, or even after making customers wait for a week
* AlwaysBrilliant.com doesn't even apologise when customers contact them out of concern for these problems
I will never deal with this company again. If they're not even capable of fulfilling an order, they're certainly not going to be worth dealing with if that order needs to be replaced or returned for any reason."
