"Generally, this order was up to AmericanFrame.com's usual high standards. However, the outer dimensions of the two mats for one painting were cut smaller than the normal 1/16 inch allowance to fit inside the frame's rabbet, making the mats too loose in the frame. When I called Customer Service, the lady was a bit defensive, and seemed to be implying that I didn't know what I was talking about. She kept talking about the necessity for the measurements I had given them to be accurate, but these particular measurements are established by AmericanFrame, not me! They are dependent on the size of the frame I order, and set by their online ordering system. Eventually, she did admit that during the busy holiday season, mistakes might have been made, but she failed to apologize for those mistakes. Not the best approach for a Customer Service Professional! She did indicate that if they had made a mistake, I could get a replacement...but since I didn't have enough turn-around time, I made do with what I had. I must emphasize that this is NOT typical of my experience with AmericanFrame.com...but it is nonetheless disappointing to encounter measurement errors in a business whose lifeblood is based on accurate measurements."
