First of all I would like to say that we love the mattress. What made the experience less desirable was the condition the mattress arrived at our home. The box was completely destroyed was several holes in it and the mattress was damaged so we had to send it back and get another one. Once again the box was completely destroyed however the mattress was In relatively good shape so we kept it."

"We purchased the AS3, it was very fast deliver. We had to add a 3" topper to the bed it was too hard. it was added after about 25 days of sleeping on it, as they say you should. My wife and I both had the same problem, when we would sleep on our side our arms would go to sleep and hurt when we woke up. But with the topper it is GREAT!"

"Love this bed! It's so comfortable and I get a great night's sleep. It came in a large box that was very heavy (it is a king size bed) but it was easy to open everything; it even came with an "opener" for the material it was wrapped in. It was easy to set up.

We previously had a tubed waterbed that had a pillow top. It was almost 20 years old and the pillow top wasn't as fluffy and comfortable anymore. We've also had a tube spring a leak a couple of times and it wasn't fun waking up damp in the middle of the night and having to deal with that. We're not getting any younger... so it was time to get a new bed. It had been a very comfortable bed for many years but it was just wearing out.

I took a lot of time researching. I'd slept on a Tempurpedic at a hotel and thought it was amazing but when I looked at the prices for a king size bed of that brand I was pretty floored at how expensive just a mattress was.

I started looking for reviews on mattresses and found a great consumer reports comparison. Amerisleep was either their top pick or one of their top picks. So I started looking for honest customer reviews, ones that weren't posted by the company. What I found were mostly really good reviews so I felt I had a winner.

The price was also unbeatable. The Tempurpedic was more than twice and almost 3 times as much as this bed. I often wake up and think about what a great night's sleep I got and how good I feel! I love our new bed. I really appreciate it and can tell a huge difference in the quality of sleep that I get.

A friend of mine knew that we'd been looking for a new mattress and she called me this past week and asked me what I thought about the mattress we bought and I told her how comfortable, well-made and reasonably priced it was and I highly recommended they look into Amerisleep! I can't say enough good things about this bed! I also love that the company seems to be conscientious about the environment and about how their product is made. They have a great warranty too.

We used the "box springs" from the tubed waterbed (which really isn't a traditional one, it's much stronger) because you do need to read about that. You can't use a traditional box spring with this mattress unless you place a piece of plywood down on top of it for proper support and you should check the info regarding that if you don't plan to buy one of their bases. There is also info about placing the support slats.

There are two other things I'll mention: This bed is higher so the mattress must be thicker than a regular mattress (keep in mind we are using our own base box springs). Secondly, as you may read in other reviews, there isn't very good edge support, meaning you can't sit on the edge of the bed as easily or as well, especially if you are short like me. I have not found either of these things to be a big deal to me.

"This is a very good mattress - only one regret - I'm a side sleeper and wish we had ordered a 4 instead of a 3. However, my husband prefers a bit more support, so we will keep this one. I did buy a padded mattress cover which adds additional comfort for me.The stability of the mattress is excellent - we cannot feel each other's movements throughout the night. There is no odor and the temperature remains comfortable as well."
