"We couldn't figure out why it showed our card reader as C drive, which really messed things up at work, so on looking at the Bios, whoever put it together paid absolutely no attention to the order, they connected it willy nilly, so it had to be entirely re put back together. Had much trouble with the sound card added, told by the technician you can't have more than one. 1) why did they put more than one when I ordered a specific card and 2) I had 2 sound cards for a previous model. Without people around who know about computers, it would have been a paperweight."

"This was my second computer purchase from Ascendtech. My first was a desktop which I am still using and works great. In this this instance, I purchased 2 "re-certified" compaq laptops. The laptops are both in good condition and one works great. the other laptop came with a battery dead on arrival. It will not charge at all. I had read the terms of sale but basically stopped at the part where it said "all parts have a 30 day warranty". Down a few paragraphs below that it says laptop batteries are not covered at all but I did not see that part. I did not expect a totally dead battery from a "certified" laptop. I contacted Ascendtech and they were willing to take the laptop back minus 20% for to restock plus shipping, which was not attractive to me. From my experiences, I will likely continue to buy new equipment from Ascendtech but I will probably be hesitant to buy any used or "re-certified" equipment unless the pricing is so good that I can take some attrition and still be happy."

"While I did not order much, a simple bare bones kit and s sound card AscendTech made the odering process simple and pain free. Everything I ordered came via UPS well packed and protected. It arrived on time and functioned properly. I give AscendTech five stars for thier ordering page, prices (you may need to hunt but great prices are there) and packaging of the product. I even found a post it note from the person that put it togther to test it. What more could you ask for? I saved as much as I spent."
