Shipping delay is not acceptable and not giving accurate information when calling about why it had not shipped is not good business practice.

"Discovered Ascend via pricewatch website was impressed by options of building system & cheap price. Received system and discovered the tower was damaged. Huge crack on the front of system & something rattling inside of tower. Tried to fire system up no go. Emailed tech supported they advised me that sounds like a cable was loose on HD I am not a tech-e person so tried to check if cables were loose & discoved they were. I asked if I decided to keep unit what type of discount would be provided. They advised me they could refund me $7 bucks. I stressed that I might be willing to try & put a new tower face on unit but not for $7 I figured with the pixs of the damaged unit I sent them they would jump over backwards to make me a satisfied customer they didn't I even stressed how bad of an experience I was having & still was only offered a new unit or a the new face for the tower. I advised them that I have a @ home biz & need a new unit ASAP could the new unit be overnight-ed was advised that is not an option. Overall one of the worse customer service experiences I have ever had & I buy online a lot. They did send another unit have not received it yet but absolutely worse customer service so buyer beware. I have all the email from the company that shows lack of caring. The customer should never had to proactively offer solutions to fix an issue, the company should offer a fix or ask what can we do to make you a satisfied customer. It is not there fault UPS drop-kicked the box & damaged the unit & jarred the HD cables loose but I do hold them accountable for how the responded to my issue. I called them last week to verify that they received unit back & was told they had not & it might take a few more does for the "investigation" to be completed by UPS & I was soooooo frustrated I just said you know what just refund my money. The rep advised he would note on the order to refund my money. Called today & was told a new unit has been shipped. I am so tempted to just refuse delivery of the unit.
+++++Update 9/22 UPS left the "new unit" on doorstep I open the box & guess what ??? it is the exact same unit huge crack on the front & all I am just flabbergasted that they sent me the same damaged unit back the rep on Monday advised me they were shipping me a new unit. I emailed Val waiting to hear back. I plan to ship the unit back to them & also I will call Bank of America to file a claim for the charge to my debit card & have them reverse the charge from Ascentek that way they have the broken PC & I have my $$$ back. I will mark this up as a lesson learned. Some times you do get what you pay for, so many people have raved about this company I just wish I could say I also have had a positive experience. I will go onto as many websites as possible to share my horrible experience & hopefully they will take the customer service part of their business a little more serious. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW!!!!!"

"I purchased a replacement mother board for my Aunts Dell Dimension 2400 desktop computer. I received the motherboard on Saturday, Sept 18,2010. On Sunday, I attempted to swap out the old for the new, but the new motherboard does not match up to where the connectors of the I/O core protrude through the shield. Of course they are closed on Sunday, so I will follow-up with them on Monday. I was reminded by Technical Support that the website said that I would have to remove the I/O plack on the back of the machine. I did not know what an I/O board was! Another problem was that the new motherboard screw holes were aligned with the "B" holes in the case (around the CPU), not the "A" holes that were aligned to the original board. So, I took out the new motherboard and reset the screw recepters into the "B" case holes. Everything finally was right.
One of the best things the the seller did was to offer a cd with all the drivers for the new motherboard. I recommend that you buy the CD, as there are less headaches with the CD. Ascendtech tech support was hard to get in touch with and in a least one instance, was difficult to carry-on a conversation, due to the fact that I, the customer, did not know the proper jargon to use in describing the problem. "I purchased 2 OEM Radeon HD 4850 cards from Ascendtech. Although the card were in excellent repair and I had no technical problems, the cards did not have an HDMI output although advertised as having one on their website. When informed of this issue, they initially insisted I pay a 20% restocking fee, return shipping, plus $12.50 to cover the cost of having shipped the itmes to me. I disputed these costs and eventually had them waived after I spoke to a General Sales Manager (who personally contacted me on the telephone). Although it took some back and forth before the issue was resolved, they seem a professional outfit that values customer experience and satisfaction. For the prices they offer on much of their merchandise, their level of commitment towards technical support and customer satisfaction is well above average. I appreciate their time and diligence in sorting out my issue."
"While I was very impressed with the prices offered by Ascendtech, I'm not at all pleased by the service response. When I ordered the computer, there were some issues with the billing. I did not find out about these issues until I checked the status of my order and subsequently called customer service. After solving that issue, I still recieved no correspondence to indicate that my order had been processed, that it had been shipped, or anything of the sort. I only learned these things by contacting the company, and even then, their customer service phone number was "busy" for days at a time. In the era of voice mail and multiple lines, I had to make sure that the number was not disconnected. Now I'm having issues with the computer itself (having received it some 3 days before I wrote this review) that may require an RMA process. We'll see if I have to update for that too."
"I ordered an Intel I7 Core System and due to some issues (mostly on my side), the computer shipped a bit later than I had hoped. Communication about shipping info and tracking numbers was a bit rough, but satisfactory.
The major place I'm dinging them had to do with my motherboard. I ordered the computer with windows 7 and 1GB of ram (since I had extra ram laying around). When I went to install 6GB the computer wouldn't start. After a bit of trouble shooting I discovered that there had been a bios update specifically to fix this issue: http://www.jetway.com.tw/jw/motherboard_view.asp?productid=601&proname=BI-600 I would have expected Ascendtech to make sure that the latest bios had been installed on the computer."
"Overall good. But somewhat dissappointed this board did not come with a drivers CD. Now, I'm having to hunt and peck the Internet to find graphics, USB, Network and other drivers necessary to get this board to work. Very time consuming and I'm still looking for drivers."
