1000 I'm Sorry's

"I ordered a table, 8 chairs, a loft and trundle bed, and 2 mattresses. I arranged my schedule to meet their delivery date. On the day of delivery, the bed was damaged...."I'm sorry". On the day of delivery the table did not come with all the pieces to put it together..."I'm sorry". On the day of delivery 4 of the 8 chairs were damaged...."I'm sorry". The next delivery was scheduled for 2 days later with a time frame of 430 to 630. At noon I received a call stating they forgot to send my 4 new chairs..."I'm sorry", and oh by the way your bed replacement is not in yet..."I'm sorry".
The person I spoke with about this latest news had the nerve to try to point the finger at the delivery man, who I might add has been the only reliable person I have yet to encounter in this entire situation. Awaiting the second delivery of the table alone, I receive a call that the delivery will be 1 hour late..."I'm sorry". It is already Saturday evening and now I am having a 730 pm delivery of items that still does not fulfill my order....REALLY? I have attempted to talk to someone, like a manager, but nobody seems to be concerned enough to call me back. I did receive a call from the distribution warehouse stating they would deliver my chairs this Tuesday and refund my account 100 dollars. Well, I work this Tuesday and they should refund my "delivery" charges, as nothing has yet to be fully delivered!! So far, taking off 3 days of work and giving my free time up to sit and wait on a delivery that gets pushed back is ridiculous. I understand mistakes happen. I understand things get damaged. What I will never understand is how a second delivery of an unhappy customer gets messed up again. By this time they should be working on service recovery to say the least. Yet, my chairs were forgotten? I also do not understand a franchise, such as Ashley furniture, not caring enough about their customers to follow up with the customer who has attempted to contact them over and over again. Shame on anyone in the Fairborn, Ohio store who is responsible for returning calls and not even bothering. You will be the ones to blame when others are out of a job due to the store closing as a result of poor customer service.

Sales people are scam artists

"I bought two sets of mattresses and box springs from Ashley in Fultondale AL in May. The sales person told me I had to purchase the mattress protection plan for 299.00 or my warranty would be voided if I had any problems. After sleeping on the mattress for a few nights I noticed it was much firmer than the store model. After a run around by the staff, I finally received a copy of my warranty. The warranty only covers stains, not a bumper to bumper warranty as I was lead to believe. I now have 4000.00 worth of mattresses that are like rocks, and Ashley is very sorry, but they don't replace because they're uncomfortable. We have put foam egg crate mattresses over this high dollar "crap."
Do not fall for the mattress protection warranty plan. My sales person promised me the warranty covered EVERYTHING (except animal damage) even comfort. I've never been treated like this at any business and will never do business with Ashley again. I advise you to do the same.

Never in my life!!!!

"Never in my life have I ever experienced more horrific customer service. I am always willing to give good reveiws but this time, theres nothing positive to say at all. I paid cash at the store. I did not receive the same quality furniture in showroom at my home. The backing in showroom is plywood lined with a velvet like material, it arrived with cardboard back that was stapked to it and they were falling off. There were chips in the dresser and covered with black magic marker!!! The mirror had permanent dark streaks due to manufacturing defect. The installation and delivery was contracted out and incomplete. The handles were not put on. The back of bed fell off and i had to sleep on the floor. They came to get furniture rather quickly, however did not give me my cash back. I have to wait 2-3weeks for a check in the mail. In the meantime, my husband n I are sleeping on the floor. I was also hung up on, phone calls were not returned.... Shame on all of you. If I could rate a zero I would! !!"

Worst customer service ever!

"Went to Kingsport location to purchase furniture I picked out online as I thought I'd get more "help" this way. WRONG. We purchased our furniture (about $6,000 worth to be exact) and waited anxiously for it to arrive. After 2 days we were asked to come back to the store to help correct some paperwork as we did 2 different financing accounts and they needed it done a specific way. No problem. Done. Furniture arrived 4 weeks later and out of 5 pieces my 2 nightstands were the only complete items. 1 of my couches with a chaise lounge had an ottaman with no legs. My other couch was to be a three piece sectional arrived with only 1 of the 3 sections. And my bed had no bedrails. Naturally I call the store, my sales person explained it was her first solo sale and didn't realize the bed rails needed to be placed on the ticket and that the other pieces of my couch would be ordered and expedited to me within a week. Adding in at this point I wasn't charged for the other 2 pieces that's why they didn't arrive but I would get them at no additional charge. Fair enough. After 1 week we were contacted to have the installation of the bed rails scheduled, while on the phone I asked the lady to check on the status of my missing couch sections. I was told that it was never ordered and that she took care of it and ordered it then. Naturally this was rather upsetting as I was reassured by the sales person it would be done asap. I called the store, same sales person assured me that she done what she said she would do and had no idea what happened. As I asked to speak with the store manager he informed me that said salesperson had no authority to expedite anything and that it was in fact not done. I was upset that I was lied to point blank. I should have went to the store and spoke to them in person but as a person with a full time career and going to school you don't have a lot of extra time. I expressed to Chris the store manager that I was upset and wanted to send all of my furniture back because of all this. He insisted that they would make it right and asked me several times what it would take. I told him that was for him to decide. He stated that he would speak to whomever was over customer service and get back with me within 24hrs. After 2 days and no correspondence I called the store again. By this time they knew me by name. I asked to speak with the manager again. He picked up the line, I introduced myself, and he stated, "What now?"....is this really how Ashley Home Furniture trains their management to speak with paying customers?! I politely informed him that I had yet to get a finished couch or a return phone call from him. He stated that the person over him was on vacation and that he was the one I would need to speak with and that he would get in touch with me when he came back. That was 2 months ago. We received our furniture and my husband encouraged me to just drop it because I was clearly getting nowhere with Chris the store manager of the Kingsport Ashley Home Furniture store. So bearing all this in mind I implore each of you reading this to avoid this store and company at all costs. Their financing deals are just not worth it. "

What a joke!

"I purchased a lot furniture from here when then were running a 60 months 0 interest special. First, they deliver damaged furniture. The deliver guys knew when they set everything up that some things were damaged but they said nothing, after they left and my husband moved the night stand to plug in my phone he noticed aprox. a 5 inch hole in the back of the night stand. So i had to call them to come back and get it and replace it. Now i've been calling for weeks asking when i will receive the first bill, i couldn't get any help. Finally i get something in the mail where i can log on online to see my bill. Guess what! Not only did they not give me my 60 months no interest, but the amount of the bill is double what we agreed upon in the store. The excuse they gave is that one finance company offered the 60 months no interest, but not all of them did. It just so happens the one i got assigned to doesn't offer it. Through out the entire experience at the store i constantly asked them about the special deal and they reassured me everything went through and was fine. I am so disgusted with this sham of a business. Do not believe anything you read in the store or what the crooked sales people may try to say. They only care about getting the sale, they will lie, cheat and tell you just about anything to get their commission. I will definitely take this a step further. This is ridiculous. "

Second hand furniture

"I purchased a large home entertainment center from the Ashley Furniture store in Fayetteville, NC. The piece I bought was large, with two pillars, a cerdenza, and a bridge. I purchased it from the catalog located in the store because they didn't have anything on display that I was interested in. When it was delivered, I noticed that the corners were damaged and repaired, poorly if I might add. I called customer service and was told that they have to send a craftsman to refurbishe the furniture. I saw no, I purchased a new piece of furniture and I want a new one, not one that was used. I spend four days calling different managers, getting transferred from one place to another and I have basically gone nowhere. On top of that they said I can pay a 10% restocking fee to return the damaged piece of furniture they delivered me. Terrible customer service, total rip off, don't waste your time or money with this company. It will bring you nothing but stress. "

Defective Furniture

"We purchased our couch, loveseat, end tables and coffee table on 3/19/16 from Ashley Furniture on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC. The items were delivered on 4/20/16. In early May we called the store to complain about the couch cushions on both the loveseat and couch since they were warping and were very uncomfortable. Without any question or hesitation the rep sent out replacement cushions. We received them 1 week later and within the next two weeks, the new cushions had warped just like the old ones. We called again to complain and again, without hesitation, they sent out new cushions. These new ones once again warped within a few days use. We called again to complain and stated we wanted an exchange for a new product. The rep on the phone stated they need to send out a tech to review the product first before they authorize any exchanges. The rep came out on 6/8/16 and reviewed the product. He advised us that it is a new line of couches with a new line of cushions and it appears that our couch and loveseat are both defective. He took pictures, documented on his galaxy tab and advised us that he was sending in the information to Ashley Furniture so that we can get an exchange for a different product as the problem was going to keep occurring. He stated someone from Ashley would contact us within 24 hours. After 4 days of waiting for a call, it was clear we weren't going to get one so we called store, only to be told that the tech's notes state nothing about the product being defective and that we are only to get more cushions sent out. When I advised that we did not want more cushions, we wanted a different couch the rep stated" sorry, cushions is all we can authorize".

The couches are less than 2 months old and are clearly defective, yet Ashley refuses to do anything to rectify the problem with their so called "high quality material". This is unacceptable and terrible business practice.

horrible horrible horrible service with Ashley furniture

"We have had nothing but problems with every piece of furniture purchased from Ashley furniture. We have one couch that has now broken twice and they refuse to replace it. Our dressers have both had broken drawers more than once. Our dining room table and every single chair all wobble. We called and were given replacement pieces for the bottom of the table and the chairs, which stopped the wobbling for a while because some of the pieces had been previously missing. Now, they are all wobbling again but there are no pieces missing. They say they can only replace bottom pieces but there is nothing else they can do. There is also small area of warping on the top of the table and they refuse to fix it because they say it is caused by water damage. However, they never once even came to inspect the spot to verify its cause AND our warranty contract specifically states that warping is covered. There is no clause that says that warping is not covered if it is caused by water damage, it simply states that warping is covered. I do not think this is even legal to refuse to comply with a warranty contract. I will NEVER shop with Ashley furniture again and I have never had this many problems with a furniture company. "

Best Customer Service and Value for your Money!

"We were welcomed by a friendly sales person that wasn't pushy. We found a sectional couch that we love and will be shopping with Ashley Furniture in the future.
Also we needed to exchange a piece of furniture and the delivery drivers (Emmanuel Chavarria and Mario Carreno) were super friendly and professional.
Hands down the best experience I have had with a retailer in a long time

The **** Barn at Ashley Furniture.

"in February 5, 2015 I bought a Dinner room table and 8 chairs, the girl at the counter kept on selling me the protection plan for 300$ and she said that it dont matter if your grandchild got a knife and scratched it they will replace it and if they didnt have the same one that they would get you one that is at equal value to the table. well the truth is that she didnt tell me the truth, she stole my money and now for me to get it back i have to cancel the protection plan, only get back some of the money and i have to pay them a 25 dollar cancellation fee. well in the first place the girl never said that animals werent included if she had said that to me, I wouldnt have bought the plan, why buy a plan that you cant use? so Ashley Furniture is a bad company. all they can say is sorry. and the girl that sold it to me dont even work there no more, hmm I wonder why.

Make sure to get a prescription for Xanax along with your new furniture...

"This company is terrible. I bought a $2,000 sectional (yes, $2k, not the $500 cheap one). It arrive damaged, and it took 3 service calls for them to fix it as well as 15+ phone calls of them moving the appointment, confirming, etc. Yes, they eventually fixed it, but that was 12 hours of leave from work that I had to miss.

Their customer service number people are rude. If you have to call them for service, I highly recommend also signing up for meditation, a therapist, or getting on Xanax.

Their sales staff are nice people, I'll give them that. On the other hand, used car salesmen are typically nice as well.

My advice, buy from somewhere else. If you buy from them, don't forget that small claims court is a very easy process...

Horrible Horrible Horrible

"DO NOT BUY from Ashley Furniture. I ordered Freimore Dining Room Table and Stools (Set of 5) twice and both times the table, chairs and metal were all damaged, scratched and poorly packaged is an understatement. I had to provide pictures in order to get a refund. They could have seen the damage everywhere when they received the table back. They table was much smaller than the pictures show as well. I put one of the tables together to see if I really wanted it, because I was going to try to get it through another distributor but it looks likes a small kids picnic table, the pictures are very deceiving. I did get a refund but that was after 2 shipments and damage to both tables. I also put this same exact review on Ashley Furniture Homestore website after they asked me to review my purchase and I just received an email stating my review did not meet their website guidelines....explains why there are only 5 positive reviews for this table on their website. How very deceiving."
