"My family purchased some tables and we received some damaged products. I called their corporate office where not even a manager is available to help approve an even exchange.... Their sales man do not acknowledged the damaged and point to customer care for help, customer care said their manager is not available?? This big furniture store with amazing suck service"

"Run, dont walk, Run from this company. The sales people lie in order to get a sale.
I ordered a living room set from the store in Raleigh, NC. My husband and I talked with the sales assoc. extensively about the construction of the furniture and the quality. Everything that came out of his mouth was a lie.
My mother was hospitalized and I wasnt home when it was delivered. When I got home a week later I discovered that the bottoms of the sofa and loveseat cushions were not completely covered in the fabric that shows. Theres a cotton type fabric on the underside of the cushions so that you cant flip the cushions over for even wear. Secondly the tray tables are made of cheap soft wood, probably pine. This allows for scratches and dents and the finish peeling off.
I wont bore you with the unacceptable customer service. Suffice it to say that nothing was done to correct their deceptive practices and Im stuck with a room full of inferior furniture that I'll have to replace at my expense.
Do yourself a favor and dont even step foot in an Ashley store. GO elsewhere. You'll thank me later.

"I had tremendous dissatisfaction and inconvenience on account of purchasing Ashley Signature Sofa set from their distributor in Dubai.

The Quality of the Sofa did not meet basic expectations of a Sofa set .

The store representative at Atrium furniture in Dubai insisted that we can select a Sofa from the catalogue and can be rest assured about its Quality.He gave us wrong commitment on the Quality and details of the Sofa set.
We had to make all necessary arrangements to ship to Sofa from Dubai to UK within a span of 2 weeks of our stay in Dubai.I am not sure what Quality checks they have in place but the Sofa set which we have received clearly is not meant to be used else it will certainly be in pieces in two weeks.

First time in my life we have seen a Sofa set where there is no wood at the back and side of the Sofa set to support it.The fabric is clearly pasted with adhesive or couple of nails and is already sagging inside.Even if something light bumps into it the cloth does not come back to its original shape and understandably sags inside.The sides and back of the Sofa is suppose to look firm and strong.( pics attached ) The tags clearly read :made in CHINA.If that is the case then price and market it accordingly.

The Quality of the wood is so cheap that I am at loss for words.My heart skips a beat when i think how much I have spent and what have I got in return.Does Ashley have checks on the prices or Distributors are selling per their whims and fancies.

We suggest that you stop maufacturing these kinds of cheap Sofa sets and playing with peoples money and emotions.I wish full refund of my money i.e 15000dhs spent on this Sofa set and compensation of all the unnecessary harassment and inconvenience caused to us on purchase of this item.

I wish a suitable investigation to this purchase and a reply from someone Senior in Ashley furnitures failing which I will approach the concerned for necessary actions.

"If you are looking for good looking furniture that won’t last with a company that doesn’t stand behind their products please purchase at Ashley. I purchased a Leather Sofa, Loveseat, and 2 chairs from Ashley Furniture with the extended warranty. After about 2.5 years the Love seat and sofa started to crack and blister, this was when I noticed the “leather was not real”. I called up the warranty service and they sent out an agent to repair the issues. When the agent was at my house they informed me that the blistering and cracking isn’t covered and attempted to correct the issue. When he left the cracks looked good but a week later they were back with vengeance. Called Ashley back up and they wouldn’t help with anything. "

"At first I was very happy with Ashley. I had a great experience in the store, and our consultant was amazing. She was very helpful, and not pushy at all! After finding the furniture we loved, we paid for the delivery and was told it would be in our home about a week later.

I made plans to stay home from work just so that this furniture could be delivered. After they called me every single day before the furniture was delivered, I was informed that our bed was on back order and that it would take another couple of weeks. So I took off work, yet again for this furniture to be delivered. They called me a couple days before to verify the delivery time, and all was good. Then a couple hours later they called to tell me that it was still on back order and was going to take another month to come in! What?? They just called to verify that it would be here in a couple days.

Needless to say, I will never return to Ashley. They are so awful, and do not fulfill their promise dates. I would never recommend anyone to ever go to this company. Please save yourself time and frustration and go somewhere else.

" Terrible customer service when it comes to product support, nothing like the day I made my purchase. They made the extended warranty sound like the perfect addition to my new leather living room set. The stitching is coming apart after little use so I called my local Ashley store, they gave me a number to call so I called and the man told me to send pictures of the defective area and gave me an email; ****@****
I've sent my email several times but after a month I'm done trying. I closed my Ashley credit card and trying to get the word out via web and locally. Don't waste your hard earned money on these crooks, "STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY"

"Horrible customer service, the protective plan that they have is horrible. When buying the furniture the guy who sold it to us said that it would cover anything regardless no questions ask when we did call and told them they said that the policy had changed.
Never buying. From this place ever again not to mention the cheap quality of the furniture. I'd rather go to my local furniture store.

"I recommend no one purchase anything from this store if you do... I hope with all my heart that everything works out for your sake.

My experience with this company was a struggle and still still is, unfortunately.

Since I am limited in the amount of characters, I will do my best to summarize my situation.

I bought a dinning set for around $989. It was delivered and I signed the paper confirming it. Mistake #1. I should not have signed it b/c it had defects, at that time I did not know I did not have to sign so they could have taken it back. Of course the delivery men where not going to inform me of this highly important information that could have saved me lots of calls to 3 different locations to ashleys furniture, calls to GE Money (the company I financed my payments toward), depression (giving me the run around and feeling like I was going nowhere like a dead end), precious time taken away from my family and life.

...i have changed my mind, I actually cannot explain what I would like to expand on here, to much to type. Basically save yourself the trouble and do not purchase anything from this company.

Oh course ashleyfurniture did not ask me to write this review, it would not go well with them if they did but the only reason I say this is b/c there is a check mark asking if the did.

100% not satisfied with Ashley Furniture. Never again will I purchase anything from Ashleys Furniture. Shipping takes a long long time, I had to wait a month. Customer service is horrible because they keep putting me on hold for over 20 minutes and keep telling I need to contact a different person or a different location each time. Including taking to a foreigner that I could bearly understand what the we're saying with GE Money. Be familiar with that company if your going to make payments for your item/it me stems that you purchase.

"ASHLEY’S FURNITURE: A PLACE FOR FURNITURE, DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM!

Have you ever felt discriminated by a salesman or anybody who thought that he was better than you because you are a woman? How about being treated like a second class citizen because you are not white? Well, this is how Karry, the owner and store manager of Ashley’s Furniture Calgary Heritage HomeStore treated me this afternoon!

My husband and I decided to buy a sectional for our basement. We are quite excited about this purchase as we are normally savers and not spenders. We previously had pleasant dealings with Ashley’s three years ago and were hoping for a repeat experience. The day went on smoothly as we perused and zeroed in on the sectional we wanted to purchase. As they were having a storewide sale that day, we asked if we could get a bigger discount than the one that was advertised. Our salesman informed us that he unfortunately couldn’t give us lower prices. He, however, could ask his manager if he could do something for us.

Karry, Ashley’s Calgary Heritage Homestore manager, came in already curt with the salesman- continually interrupting him and questioning his price calculation. He gave us a lower price and argued that is so much more than the 25% off that was advertised. Karry then proceeded to interrupt me as I was questioning his math on the percentage off. Karry asked my husband “CAN YOUR WIFE UNDERSTAND THIS?” I informed him that I have a master’s degree, I can obviously understand basic math.

This is very offensive! Why did he not talk to me directly? Does he prefer to deal with his kind? Does he think that I cannot understand him because I am a woman or because I am not Caucasian like my husband? I told my husband that we are going home and not purchasing anything from him. Karry felt the need to shout at me and my family of how he was so happy to have met us. I said, “I unfortunately cannot say the same to him.” My husband, son and I stood up from the couch and walked towards the store doors. Karry felt the need to follow us and shout at me again saying “a person with a master’s should be able to understand basic math!” I asked him what his name was, he said he is Karry, he is the store manager and he owns the store and then told me to never visit his store again!

After you have read this, you might think I am angry and you are right! I am angry! I am angry that someone felt that need to make me feel ashamed of my gender, ashamed of my colour and made me feel simple. Karry’s attitude infuriates me. I do not feel that it should be tolerated in any circumstance. I, of course, do not plan to go back to his store again; and I urge others to take a stand against any and all kinds of discrimination. Please boycott Ashley’s Furniture.

"DO NOT BUY HERE. Damaged our home and furniture. Furniture is not real wood. Horrible customer service has not fixed problem for over 1 month now.

I bought the most expensive set of bedroom and living room furniture they sell for $9,000 only to find out it's not even real wood! The items were delivered with finish flaking off and bubbling. Under it is some sort of crappy resin or plastic, not wood like they tell you in the store. Under the finish is white material.

The delivery was finally made to our new house by a contracted company, not Ashley's, after waiting 2 weeks. They put a hole in our wall, scratches on the walls, black marks all up the carpeted stairs, broke the entry door hydraulic, put a hole threw the back of the dresser and scratched 2 other pieces of furniture. This is my new house I just bought and they have no respect!

That was 1 month ago and our home is still damaged and furniture is still unacceptable. This company is so layered they can't figure out how to fix my order or the damages to my home! We've talked to sales reps, customer service agents, technicians and even managers with no luck on getting someone to my home to access the damage and the defective junk we were delivered. The only thing that's been done to fix my order is they sent another contracted delivery company out to replace the dresser that was broken on the first delivery only to have these guys put another scrape on the foot board of our bed and ruin it now too! They also did not replace the mirror and the finish on the mirror is a lighter shade of brown than the new dresser they brought so it doesn't match now. Today (Monday) I got a call for an appointment for a technician to come inspect the furniture this Thursday. Another 4 days when it is convenient for them! Why not take care of your customer's right away Ashley? Your sales team was available 24/7 to sell me but nobody is available to help out when you have problems.

This company does not take care of their screw ups or valued customers. Don't shop here unless you like paying top dollar for defective junk and want random people stomping through your house breaking stuff. Very disappointed customer. Will never shop here again and will advise everyone I know to stay away.

"I wish there were 0 or negative stars. I would have given this store that rating. The worst possible shopping experience. I was confirmed for delivery on a certain day of the week but no one showed up when i called i was rescheduled for delivery. Which means I have to take another day off from work. To top it all the furniture was delivered ripped (this is new furniture we are talking about). When I call the customer service they asked me to pick between a repair or a replacement. I decided to pick something else from the store as this one was out of stock and would take about a month and considering the past delivery experience i may not receive it until next Christmas. So i go in and pick something else. I place the order and at that time delivery was free. I get a call couple days after the order saying there will be a delivery charge coz they had to redeliver the furniture to me and this is for the original torn furniture. The furniture i ordered the second time around was of lower value than the original one hence i was told i will get a credit and then i get a call after another 2 days and they the sales person tells me that they cannot give you a credit as per their policy which BTW changes overnight. So now i have to go in again and get something more so that the total value of my purchase is equal to what i have already paid.

The thing to learn from my experience is that stay away from this store and put your hard earned money at a furniture store which has stable policies and better customer service.

After reading this review if you are still brave enough to go into the store beware of the sales person they always try to get you to pick the furniture with higher value

"FULL PRICE, BROKEN FURNITURE DELIVERY

On April 03 2010 3pm, I paid full price for brand-new 7-pieces sofa package from 545 Rt 17 South, Paramus NJ 07652.
On April 16 2010 12pm, the sofa package was delivery to my apartment. at night, I found out a hole on the leather of the loveseat.
On April 17 2010 1pm, I called customer care at ***-***-****. Cary?, the representative, talked to RELIABLE and told me a profession will come on April 23 to review the sofa.
On April 22 2010 3pm, I called customer care to confirm the appointment next day. Cari told me RELIABLE profession cannot come on original date April 23.
(If I don't call, I would have wasted a day at home waiting.)

last year May 2009, I bought a bed from Ashley and it crashed after 4 months in September. it took 3 months for Ashley customer care to replace it in December.
according to these 2 terrible shopping experience, I don't recommend Ashley to anyone, never ever!
shopping at Ashley means poor quality, extra more time for getting fixed/replace.

"I ordered a sidney-taupe (S.O. 889660) reclining sofa-loveseat set on 11/15/2008 thinking it will be delivered before thanksgiving as I'm hosting the dinner at my house. The furniture did not come. Two weeks after I went to their shop in south brunswick along route 1 to see what's going on and much to my surprise my furniture is not even in any list for delivery. They scheduled the delivery to be on 12-04 (right before my daughter's birthday party on 12-07 and then today (12-03) the customer service rep gives me a call saying they don't have the wrong item on stock. THESE PEOPLE REALLY SCREWED UP MY OCCASIONS BIG TIME. I should never have trusted their sales force with this. I'm going to stay away FROM THEM AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE AND THEY CAN BET THEIR NECKS, I WOULD LET MY BUSINESS CONTACTS KNOW HOW POOR THEIR SERVICE IS.

DONT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN on USING THE FURNITURE FOR YOUR MOST SPECIAL OCCASIONS. They will simply screw you up.
