"im fixing up my truck ive had for years, so im looking around on the internet and i find automotix. so i find exactly what im looking for and for a very reasonable price. it said everything was secure and all that so i just ordered it, $155 for 4 different things. i got some emails from them the next day containing 3 different invoices for 4 parts for completely random amounts totaling 155 bucks i thought what ever they got mixed up. its been 6 days now. Have they shipped? no. have i gotten a single email from them other than the screwed up reciepts. no. can i get ahold of an actual human being? no. do i regret puchasing anything from this failure of a company? yes. would i so much as buy a air freshener from them? no. chances are if you order from these people you will not have a good experience. most of the people on here dont. pay the extra money. we will see when and what i end up with. it scares me knowing these people have my credit card number. would not be surprised if tomorrow i wake up with no money left and an email saying my new truck has been shipped."

"I needed a drive shaft for a 2002 Ford Explorer. I looked all over the internet including Ebay motors for a replacement which new would have cost me 1250. No one had the part(it had to come from a V8 2WD drive). I accidentally came across this site and was shocked to find 37 at $130 delivered. I called them and although there is a bit of a wait spoke to a rep that could not have been nicer. He found one close to my home that was not even listed on the web site with less millage. He even held on the line while I conferenced in my mechanic. I recognize there are other comments on this site very critical of the company. I think you need to be aware that you are ordering a used part from a wrecked vehicle. There are certain parts which by their nature might be a bit risky to order. As for me I was quite happy with the service."

"Very please with service. Ordered CD Changer for my C230 as mine had the normal issues assocaited with this model. Price was reasonable at 132.50 when best price on ebay was $250. Ordered part and then read some of the reviews which made me anxious. Part arrived and I immediately noticed it was the not the right part as the connections did not match. I checked the model number and notied they were not the same. I became more anxious. I reached out to the company and had to leave a vm. getting more anxious. I called back later in the day and spoke to Megan (sp?) She looked up my order and spologized that the wrong part was sent. She said she would sent the correct part and send an RMA out for the wrong. I assumed the company would need to receive my package before sending out the right part. The day I shipped the order back (no additional cost to me) I received the new order. I saw it was the right part # and when I got home and installed it, it worked perfectly. Even though I initially received the wrong part, I am happy with the customer service I received and the fact that I save a ton of money over what a new changer would have cost. 2 thumps up!"

"Do not order from this company. Automotix or LKQ or whatever they call themselves. We were quoted $600 for a van door. We decided to purchase since it was cheaper than repairing through facility. Never received confirmation email/order# or anything as promised however credit card was charged immediately. A few days later we called and they told us without the order# they never sent there was no way for them to look up the order. Told them to cancel order to which they replied we would be charged a 15% restocking fee of $90. We were never informed there would be restocking fee nor did we ever sign anything or get anything that would explain the terms and conditions. When we told the customer service person that we were not informed he laughed and hung up on us. I would NOT recommend dealing with this company. "

"My alternator went out on my audi and i looked all over and couldnt find one for under 190 until I found one at this site. It cost me 91 dollars total with shipping. After I ordered it and I looked up reviews (should have done it before I know) and was immediately scared that I just threw away my money, I even tried to contact to cancel my order. However, 2 days after I ordered my part I received it when I was told it would take 5-7 business days. Got the part installed for 100 dollars and I saved well over 600 dollars for what the original quote was from my local mechanic shop. I figure people are a lot more motivated to but in a review if they're mad about something rather than happy so I came here to say something so not everyone is scared like I was."

"I purchased a used glovebox for my chevy for $93, which said it was in very good condition. It was missing a bearing and the handle was partially broken (cracked). Luckily for me, I knew someone who could repair the bearing. I will never buy from Automotix.com again. A total rip-off."

"I was VERY hesitant to order from this company because of their bad reviews but I took the risk and I am sooo happy! The wiper transmission just got installed and I saved hundreds of dollars! :) :) I have BMW z4; the factory price was close to $600!!! This company had it used for about $135. I ordered on Saturday, it was waiting for me on Wednesday evening when I got home. I do feel for the people who did not get what they wanted...every company has some bad bad employees; maybe they read the reviews and addressed the problem because I'm absolutely ecstatic to get that wiper fixed. I was literally praying for no rain... :) Maggie"

"This is the absolute WORST online company I have ever dealt with. I looked up a rear vent window for my car and it came up with multiple items at multiple locations to order at a very reasonable price. I was initially pleased and placed an order. The next day, I get an e-mail saying my order was cancelled because the do not ship glass! I thought to myself, "Then why was I able to order it with free shipping?" I tried to call the customer service number and both extensions listed proved invalid. When I pressed 0 to reach ANYBODY, I got a very rude "wholesaler" who simply said, "If your email said your order was cancelled, then it was cancelled!!!" and then hung up on me! I've called back MANY times to see if I could drive to one of the locations to pick up the part and every time I get put on hold until finally I get to someone's voice mailbox! Once, after waiting 30 minutes, someone picked up the call (to get it out of his queue, said, "Hold on." and put me back on hold! I highly recommend NEVER using this company for anything but BBB complaints."

"This was the worst experience I've EVER had online. I ordered a part on November 29 and it was shipped a couple days later. I received the wrong part and called to get the correct part. The gentleman I spoke with said he'd have it shipped out the same day. I waited a week and did not receive anything from them, not the part, not an email saying they've shipped the part, NOTHING!! It took 8+ phone calls over 4 days and being on hold for an average of 20+ minutes every call to finally get ahold of a human being. They said that the part had never been ordered and that they would go ahead and order it, and ship it the same day. 4 days later I received the SAME EXACT incorrect part and called again about it. The guy I spoke to this time after 3 phone calls and an average hold time of 30+ minutes wanted to argue with me stating that he was sure that I had received the correct part. Being that I am the end user of the part that I ordered, I would know if it was wrong or not. I had ordered A/C controls for a Mustang with the heated seat option. The parts they c[kept sending me didn't have the buttons for the heated seats. The last time I spoke with someone was the Wednesday before Christmas and they said that they were going to ship the CORRECT part from Virginia the same day via UPS. I live in North Carolina, the shipping time by ground for UPS from Virginia to NC is ONE DAY!!!! It has been over a week AGAIN and I have not received my third replacement part!!! I have called them EVERYDAY this week and have not yet been able to reach a human being.

BEWARE DO **NOT** buy from these people!!!
I have always been skeptical of reviews like this in the past but PLEASE take this as a cautionary tale... Spend MORE if you have to but, DON'T buy from these people unless you want to be treated like dirt and get the wrong part!!!

"Horrible Experience to date. I ordered 2 parts. What I've received is rude customer service reps that are very argumentative. One rep rudely argued that what I was looking at on their website was inaccurate and when he finally checked what I was telling him - that there were at least 15 of the same parts available on the website at a specified price, he then blamed his system for not showing him the inventory. He tried to get me to buy the part for 40% more money. I received the other part I ordered (a driver side mirror) and it was for a different car then the one I ordered. I've waited on the phone for 20 minutes or more each time - they are always experiencing unusual call volume because they are short-staffed. What a miserable experience with a miserable company. Look to buy from someone else rather than LKQ, Automotix, or any other company associated with LKQ!! This is a last resort company."

"Automotix sells inferior and broken products. They do not stand behind their merchandise. They are impossible to reach by phone, the customer is left on hold for lengthy time periods. They do not offer refunds for inferior products. The customer must accept vouchers for more inferior products, not a refund. I would not buy a piece of paper from this rip-off "company"."

"I found this site after having purchased a motor ($2500) and was left wondering if I had thrown my money away. This was not the case. I received the Honda Ridgeline motor and had it installed by the Honda dealership. The truck is running perfect now. In doing so, I saved $4000 because the dealership said they couldn't find a used motor. Therefore, I'd recommend others in trying to find parts for their vehicle. I do wish LKQ were a bit better at following up with e-mails and tracking numbers so the I, the customer, knew what was going on."

"I ordered a 2002 Ford ECU from this company and they forgot to add my apartment number to the shipping label. UPS did not deliver the item and it sat in their warehouse for 2 weeks before I was finally able to get ahold of somebody.

When I call Automotix, it sounds like a spanish speaking native answers the phone in her house, there are loud noises and what sounds like children. When you call, expect to waste an hour of your life on hold, then sometimes the line will drop you.

They never answer their emails, they never answer their phone.

I am not impressed and will never use them ever again. Businesses that invest so little in their customer service representatives don't deserve our business.....
