"The worst customer service ever! I purchased a 15" LCD from Azatek. They shipped it without a power cord. I emailed and called to the company the day I received package. No communication from company. After 8 days, still no more cord. Tried to return LCD but "owner" will charge $64 to return a $109 product. "Owner" accused me of lying about not receiving it and told me to go buy one myself. I have reported this company to Better Business Bureau. Completely outrage with lack of service and use of inappropriate language.

In reference to Azatek's response:

1. Company did not ship what I had paid for which places the fault on the company. 2. I waited 8 DAYS! not "couple days". 8 DAYS for the cord and on the 9th day, I finally received the cord. 8 days is not a "reasonable" amount of time to receive a part that should've come with the order. 3. I work in IT so, I am fully aware of what a power cord is. But I did not pay money so that I can go out and buy parts and be credited. 4. I cancelled the order ONLY after I did not receive the cord and found it COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE that company did not respond in a timely manner. I had a piece of hardware that I PAID for and could not use because the company was negligent.

If I wanted to return the LCD b/c I didn't want it, then of course I would abide by the return policy. The problem here is that the company did NOT ship what I paid for. The company should've owned up to its responsibility.

"Ordered an Eizo Brade-B L565 LCD. Took three days to process and almost a week for delivery. Came with an analog cable. The monitor works just fine. Some small blemishes similar to the examples given by Azatek. I am very satisfied. DVI for cheap! "

"I'm not sure where these satisfied reviews are coming from because they seem to be drastically different from everyone else's reviews...

Anyway...

I ordered an IBM P275 from this store on June 17. According to their website, orders are processed within 2 days. Well, as of yet my order has not gotten past the "In process" stage. And interestingly enough, the price of said monitor has gone up since my order. Maybe there was a pricing error on their part and they're trying to get me to reorder at the higher price? I'm not sure.

Granted I haven't been charged (yet) but seeing as I still haven't gotten a response from an e-mail I sent 3 days ago, I'm afraid they won't cancel my order even if I asked.

Will update if I hear back.

UPDATE: 6/27/06

On 6/23 I sent a second e-mail requesting they cancel my order. Never heard back. Today I checked the status of my order and it's now canceled. I still think it's the result of a price mistake as their website specifically states that orders cannot be canceled once made. That and the lack of any correspondence.

"I ordered a NEC FE2111SB Grade A from this company, despite some of the bad reviews here (horror stories, really) and so far my experience has been mediocre.

Now, I'm kind of picky when it comes to my monitor. The one that arrived was in great shape, just a touch of cosmetic damage, but nothing that bothered me. However, as soon as I loaded up my web browser (I use about:blank for my homepage) I could see tiny dark dots all over the surface. I cleaned it, which removed about half of them. The rest, I discovered, were defects with the monitor's aperture grille. I decided that there were too many near the center of the screen and that I needed to exchange it.

They don't answer their email every day. I sent an email early Monday afternoon (my time, theirs is -2 hours), and did not get a reply until Tuesday night. I called their customer service line on Tuesday afternoon and the guy asked me to send a picture of the dots I was describing. Well, I tried, but I couldn't manage to capture them on a camera. I told him as much the next day, and he suggested I clean the screen. I already had, so he said to send another email and they should get me a RMA number.

So it took from Monday to Wednesday to even get a mention of a RMA when I asked for an exchange in my first email. They have a nice return policy for first time customers, but there's a very limited timeframe. At this point I'm considering asking for a refund rather than an exchange.

Edit: Thursday, June 22
After some emails explaining what the problem was I got an offer to sell me another monitor at a reduced price, and a suggestion that I could sell the one I have now for an amount to cover the price of the new one. I can only assume this is to eliminate some shipping costs and that they don't want to have to deal with this monitor again. They also asked again for pictures. This time I was able to get ahold of a camera that could take pictures of the problem, and I sent them on Monday morning (like 4am). I have not gotten a reply to this point (Thursday 10:30pm) and I'm getting a little irritated. My experience thus far indicates that this is not the best company to deal with.

"I ordered a refurbished Dell P1230 22" aperture grill CRT monitor from Azatek for $239 shipped. These monitors used to cost $600+ new. This thing was like new when I got it, functions absolutely flawlessly, was a smooth transaction and very cheap to boot. These monitors are not easy to come by, aside from eBay, so this company is the premier source for quality monitors that are no longer made."

"I bought a Dell Latitude D600 from Azatek. The vendor is very nice and professional. The confirmation E mail was issued right after I placed my order. The item was shipped out at the same day. I was given a tracking number and I received my laptop in less than a week. The laptop is in perfect condition. It is a wonderful shopping experience. " I bought a Grade A 22" Mitsubishi (Compaq P1220) from Azatek. When it got here it was obviously not even Grade B, more like Grade D. I immediately contacted them and they replied "These products may have been briefly used, and as a result, may show a small amount of wear and tear. You can not expect new item buying a used one." I sent them pictures of all the scratches and the deep gouges on the sides and quoted there website.
Grade-A No Cosmetic or Technical Defects.
Grade B - Monitor is in Great Condition (most vendors would sell these as "A Grade"),
Has slight Cosmetic Blemishes
Also the seal was broken on the case and replaced with an Azatek seal. Apparently this was a dead monitor that they rigged to work for a few months and sold it as Grade A.
Only when I threatened them with a negative review did I get any response from them at which point they promised to credit me $60. Only problem is I never got it, despite sending them copies of their promise repeatedly. All subsequent emails have been ignored. Now the monitor is about to die (the width changes sporadically) a full one month after the 6 month warranty was up. So unless you want to pay $300 to use a monitor for 6 months buy from someone else. I'll be going back to my 8 year old Dell (Sony) that still works perfectly.

"Well, i was looking at pricewatch.com for a nice graphic professional monitor, and found the EIZO FlexScan T965 in "Grade A" condition for $147, which is a phenomenal price. I ordered it, and then one week later recieved the monitor with a VERY large crack in the case (Grade C condition, if that). I promptly called Azatek for a RMA, and was told i needed to send an email to the company. I sent them one five minutes after i called them, explaining the situation and asking for a replacment. 2 days went by without a reply, so i sent another email. 3 days, 5 phone calls and 3 emails later, i still had not heard back from them. Fortunatly i was able to get my money back from my bank. Stay away from Azatek."

"Hi, everyone

I have finally purchased "NOT NEW" monitor. It took me few days to research all around to make decision as far as where to buy. Obviously there are more then few good sellers of used equipment, however if you are looking for a good monitor then Azatek comes in place as is top rated store by many users all over the place. Anyway, I purchased my Mitsubishi 200PLUS on Jan.2nd and sure enough it was delivered on Jan.9th (one week exact, not bad considereing New Years weekend and end of the year rush). I've put it to work right from the box and was amazed by picture quality and whole appearance overall. Hey, for $99 (+$60 S&H) you can not beat it (unless you buy it from unrated seller and take risk). Finally, I had few questions about some controls and had to call these guys for support, needless to say how fast and helpful they are. Overall – very, very satisfied and definitely recommended.

I hope my review will help many of you.

"I was pretty nervous buying a used monitor over the internet, w/S&H and restocking fees to be paid if I changed my mind, but I decided to order, largely based on the good customer ratings.

I had a POSITIVE experience overall, but the first unit was delivered defective. UPS delivered both units with the picture tube face DOWN, contrary to the UP label, and the boxes had been roughly handled, so I strongly suspect damage in transit rendered the first unit defective. Azatek's packing was comparable in integrity to a new monitor, but the nondescript box and paucity of labels probably earned it rougher treatment.

The replacement is in excellent condition and works perfectly. Great price, I would buy from them again.

I wrote them and suggested they use more, bigger UP and FRAGILE labels in the future. When a name brand box gets in the UPS system, UP is clear, and mistakes are less likely to happen.

The only unknown is how much service life remains in this lease-return monitor, and only time will tell.

"Azatek is great! Shipping service was average (took exactly a week to for them to receive my order and deliver to my house). Packaging material is extremely protective of the monitor (came in perfect condition). My "grade A" monitor came without heavy scratches on the screen AND on the chassis. Quality is amazing. "*Excellent !*

Where else can you get a pretty good 19" CRT for $89 SHIPPED ???

I needed a used 19" monitor because my old Samsung got a bit blurry - i looked around on Azatek and they had the Compaq S920 for $89 *free shipping*. Refurb Type A

I read reviews and tests of all the monitors i was interested in - and in fact the ultra cheap Compaq S920 got only good reviews so i ordered it.

Ordered it on Sat, the 3rd (Laborday Weekend!)..order was shipped out on Tuesday (Mo was a holiday !) - and UPS brought the monitor on Friday !

The monitor came not only in GREAT packaging (custom foam mold)....but they also threw in a power-cable.

The monitor only has a minor scratch/chipping on the side of the chassis which is totally irrelevant - the monitor/picture itself is flawless, no dead pixels or any mentionable flaws.

For $89 to your door a incredible deal if you consider that some places want $60 for s/h alone.

A+++++ seller and for sure my #1 place to look the next time i need a monitor !
