"I ordered an ART PRO VLAII unit which is on back order with a projected delivery date of mid June 2016. I got a call the next day after placing the order informing me that they had a returned one (B stock) in their warehouse for $32 cheaper. It arrived two days later in the original box along with a replacement fuse, manual, and registration card. The unit was in pristine condition!
Needless to say, the unit would not power on. So I replaced the fuse with the supplied one, and still no luck. So I read the manual cover to cover looking for a remedy to no avail. Next I call BSW and they routed me to sales. I spoke to a friendly sales rep who tried to see what he could do. He impressed me by his exhausted research to find an answer to the issue. He even had me to reverse the fuse holder to make sure it was in the 110-125 voltage setting vs. the 220-240 setting (this step is not printed in the manual), and it powered on! The excitement was short lived due to the right LED vu meter being pegged out without any signal being applied to the unit. We unplugged, replugged into another outlet, adjusted knobs (setting them to zero), and the issue persisted.
The helpful rep looked up the manufacturer's help line, and gave instructions on how to get help. Long story, short... I had to call BSW back and let them know ART determined I had a defective unit.
BSW immediately transferred me to customer service, and they made arrangements to have the item returned. The next day FedEx picked up my unit at my house! 2 days later, BSW informed me that they received the defective unit, and verified if I wanted a replacement (which is on back order). I did. Now the wait is on...
In short: Excellent customer/business interaction speaks VOLUME! So far, I'm impressed!"
