"As of today I would have to give a poor review. We bought the scanner & it was/is missing the optional adapter that is supposed to come with it.
I was told we can't return the scanner until they do research to determine if it was a packaging problem or a customer problem. I can guarantee you it is not a customer problem, because if we had received the adapter that is supposed to be provided we would be using the scanner & you would have never heard from us.
I was also told you could not send us an adapter so we could start using the scanner. You do not sell the adapters separately.
I am very disappointed. We ordered the exact same thing last year & had no problems-it came with the adapter & has worked great."

"The service is TERRIBLE! I asked for next day delivery by 10:30 AM and paid for it. I waited at my office while my customer was down. Noon finally rolls around, still no package. I called them and spoke to Patrick. He said that FedEx never picked up the package. That was, according to him, the fault of the shipping supervisor at their warehouse. So, he said that due to the problems, they would waive the shipping charges and ship it Saturday delivery by 12 PM. I come to the office and wait until 1 PM only to find out that now that parts have shipped, but are hung up in Memphis, TN and are not due in until Monday by 10:30 AM!! I called and spoke with Brian and he said that he was sorry but there was nothing else that they could do. The shipping charges are still on my credit card!! It is now 10:45 AM and still no package. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!"
"I called BarcodeGiant, and that call connected me to a sales person at BarcodePlanet. I asked for assistance in determining which of 4 Symbol 8146 Pocket PC device models could be set up with an older version of Windows CE, so that I could continue using eVB to program the newer Symbol 8146. The sale person offered the number for Symbol's support.
After speaking with Symbol, I called Barcode Planet to place an order for a Symbol 8146, a charging cradle (power supply and power cable sold separately, as indicated on their web site), a holster for the Symbol 8146, and a PSC QuickScan 6000 Plus kit with a wedge keyboard cable. After a couple hours delay, the sales person emailed a quote to me, stating that he did not stock the Symbol holsters. The quote listed everything, exactly as requested.
I faxed a purchase order and a copy of the quote to Barcode Planet, and received a tracking number the next day (this is all that was required to set up net 30 terms in this case).
The billing for the order arrived a day before the package. The billing showed that I was being charged for 3 charging cradles, while a quantity of 1 was specified on the purchase order and the quote. When the package arrived, there were 3 charging cradles, and a serial cable for the QuickScan 6000 Plus (instead of the wedge keyboard cable).
Upon receiving the package I called Barcode Planet to inform them of the shipping errors, and was told that they needed to check a couple things, and that they would call me back (likely to check the purchase order quantities and part numbers). They returned the phone call within a half hour, and stated that they would ship out the correct cable for the QuickScan 6000 Plus using second day shipping, and that an RMA would be issued for the 2 extra charging cradles.
The correct cable arrived 2 days later as promised, the wrong cable and 2 charging cradles were returned, and I instructed the accounts payable clerk to not pay for the 2 returned charging cradles.
This was not a great first experience with this vendor, but they were quick to approve a line of credit, ship the order, and correct the problems with the wrong parts being shipped (and billed). The original sales person did not respond to an email request to see if a specific Symbol part number could be ordered."
"I am the Director of Sales for a computer company that wanted to buy some products from Barcode Planet. Our original order comprised of three pieces of equipment. When we received the first order it was incorrect with one of the pieces being completely the wrong model. When we requested the new model they sent it 3 days later and did not include the proper cables. After another phone call we received the correct cable 3 days later and were then able to piece together all the equipment. Finally, when we received the last piece of equipment it arrived in a broken and damaged box that was taped over to hide the damage. When this piece of equipment was hooked up it was in operational. The third phone call was made requesting the right product sent the next day. The response was….. “the product you are requesting has reached its end of life period and we can not get you a new one for about 5 days.” That would make about 14 full days till we would receive the correct products. Oh, and by the way…. Barcode planet refused to pay for any immediate shipping to cover any of there mistakes.
So, after speaking to there GM (John) he had no resolution and nothing to do to help the customer. In fact, he got aggravated that we were calling and seemed upset that we were requesting to speak to the manager.
If you want Barcode Planet please make sure you have enough time to receive the right product and about double the money you want to spend on shipping
