"I have had the same problem with BatterySharks.com as a few other reviewers, notified of shipment, but no shipment is made.
Credit card charged. Dishonest business practices is what it is.
My battery also said usually ships within 24 hours, the key word being "Usually". That gives them a opening to do their dirty deeds. Order was placed on 8-24-11, notified of shipment and credit card charged same day. Notified of shipment again on 8-30-11, after emailing back and forth to them with complaints and inquiries as to where the shipment was. As of this AM, no tracking is available from UPS. In other words, the battery I ordered STILL has not shipped, but they have had my money for 12 days. I will not do any further business with Batterysharks.com.
Do not be conned by their low prices. I wonder if they are not a trans-shipper, and actually have no battery inventories at all.
And to let BatterySharks.com know, I intend to pass this poor review on to every business review site on the web. There is no excuse for this type of business practice.
Follow up: Had Christine not told me that the second UPS tracking number was the working one, I most likely would not have written this poor review. The second tracking number showed no activity from the day it was issued, and since I was told it was the good one, I did not check the first number issued. It turned out that the shipment went out on 9-2-11, from a tracking number issued on 8-24-11. I did indeed receive
the battery today, to my great surprise, and it is currently in my UPS and working fine.
However, I still have a beef with the credit card charges that were made when in fact the battery was not even in stock. To be fair, an immediate credit should have been issued, and the card re-charged when the shipment actually made. The credit card charge means the order is on it's way, not that it will be another 9 days before actual shipment is made.
I have modified my ratings to show a somewhat more satisfied outcome."
"If you are ordering from Canada be prepared to pay an extra fee to UPS. When my battery arrived I had to pay an extra $20 to the driver. I called Battery Sharks to find out why I had to pay this and they said it was a brokerage fee, and it had nothing to do with them. They are aware of this and still do not inform you when you make your order. They say no hidden fees and satisfaction guaranteed. Its a lie."

"I ordered a replacement battery for my generator on line.
The order was efficiently processed and the battery was promptly
shipped via UPS. Status of the order was e-mailed to me
upon order processing and shipping of the battery. Tracing
information was icluded in the shipping notice and I was able
to easily track the package to its on-time delivery.
This was an OUTSTANDING example of how on-line purchases can be made."
"I give BatterySharks high marks for quickly correcting a problem with my order. I ordered two APC replacement battery packs. When the order arrived, one pack was correct, one was wrong.
Further research showed the BatterySharks web site had the wrong item when you searched for the APC part number (RBC35). If you searched on the model # of the UPS (BE350U), you got the correct item. Somehow, I managed to add the wrong part to my cart, even though the picture and details didn't match the pack I was trying to replace.
I emailed BatterySharks customer service, pointing out the discrepancy. They quickly corrected the web site. They sent me the correct part, and a prepaid return label for the wrong part. They refunded my Paypal account the difference in price. They also gave me a discount coupon for a future order.
Bottom line, BatterySharks quickly corrected a problem, and it didn't cost me anything except a little packing tape. This is loads better than some other sellers, who expect you pay to return defective merchandise.
This was actually my second order with BatterySharks. The first, for replacement lawn mower batteries, was totally smooth. I'm satisfied with the quality of the batteries so far.
As other reviewers have noted, you need to special order if you want a specific manufacturer. I've peeled the labels off of a few original APC batteries, and they seem to play the market in the same way, using a number of different suppliers. So I'm content to go with a low cost supplier and hope for the best.
