"Useless.
The "Availability" field states "usually ships within 24 hours." After waiting a day, they tell me one of my batteries was out of stock, so I have the option to cancel the order or wait two weeks for an expected stock delivery. I replied, wanting to know which battery was delayed, and explaining I should have the option of receiving the available battery right away at no extra shipping charge, since they never indicated the other was not in stock. They agreed, stating the available battery would ship that day. 6 days later-- their site states that my order is "processing." I sent an email to cancel the order. I will be calling the credit card company to dispute the charge today (if it's there). If they have this much trouble taking my money, I assume they will have even more giving it back.
If I needed a battery to save my life, and they were the last store left, I wouldn't even bother wasting my final moments-- I would just die in peace.
PS-- read the positive reviews and see how similar they look. One or two look legit, but I would bet money the rest are employees."
"This is my second order with them for this month and the result is: good performing, high-rate designed batteries for UPS systems, fast shipping, really kind and fast responding customer service and discount for the second order, that I even haven't asked for. I already recommended them to my friends and colleagues and I definitely recommend them to everybody that needs quality!"
"Same thing happened to me as a previous poster. I ordered a battery on May 23rd. Got a tracking number (which stated UPS hasn't received the package.) The tracking number had a weight and everything. I called on June 13th, and was told they didn't have the battery in stock and wouldn't get it for 3 weeks. Oh not to mention the lady on the phone interrupted me once, and hung up on me once. Anyways I asked to cancel the order, so here's to hoping it gets canceled. DON'T BUY HERE!!!"
"I got some replacement batteries for my Liebert PS3000RT2-120 UPS unit and got a set of SP12-7.5HR batteries. I had gotten Crown and Universal Battery replacements prior to these and my run times were mediocre, way short of OEM specified run time. The Sigmas were heavier than some of the more known brands and after a test run on our server, we got 25 min longer run. You can rarely find good heavy high rate product nowadays, so we are going to buy at least another 5 sets for the other units we have in the office. Great price and fast shipping, thank you guys."
"Ordered a battery, was told it had shipped and was given a UPS tracking number, waited ... waited ... over a week later I emailed to ask where it was and was told it was out of stock and never was shipped!
This morning I was told I have been credited but I see no indication on my credit card account.

"I typed into their search engine the model of my surge protector which I did for another unit as well. One battery came fine the other did not. I called their customer service to exchange to wrong battery they had to call me back multiple times because their system was down. I spent an hour on the phone with two different representatives and got no where with them. They kept saying they sent the correct battery. The battery they sent me was the wrong size and fits an APC Battery-UPS ES BK350 surge protector. My protector was a APC Back-UPS ES 350 (which is what I typed into their search engine). They were not willing to cover the shipping and exchange the incorrect battery for the correct battery. My biggest problem with them was their lack of wanting to work with me to make the situation correct. I will not buy from this company again. I will be stuck paying shipping three times in order to get the correct battery.
In regard to your response below:
You absolutely did not offer to ship me the correct battery or to give me a discount on shipping. I think it is funny that you "suggest" to your customers to check the dimensions of the battery. You suggest that when they call to complain after they have received the wrong battery and have already paid for shipping and would have to pay for shipping to return the wrong battery and then once again for the correct one. May I suggest that you have a box that pops up on your website that suggests that your customers check the dimensions when ordering. Bottom line your website is misleading.
After reading your other ratings I truly believe your company has some serious problems that need to be fixed or you won't be in business for much longer.

"I am more than sure I made the right choice when I decided to do business with batterysharks.com. I made a good deal, the replacement battery I ordered came in perfect condition, the shipping was in 24 hours and the price was competitive. I can give a great recommendation!"
"The website looks good and it’s so easy to order. The prices were the best I found, the delivery was fast, the batteries are working so far. I am very satisfied with my purchase!"
"WARNING: I did not receive the battery I thought I was ordering. I did a Google search for CSB GP12120-F2. Batterysharks.com was one of the results that was returned. I was taken directly to the page for my CSB battery. A picture of the exact battery I was looking for is shown.
In one small spot on the page, It states that it is a compatible replacement.
I received Sigmas batteries. I have never heard of this knock-off brand before. NO WHERE on the site does it mention Sigmas batteries. They do list CSB, Universal Battery and a few other very well known, quality brands. You will not receive these brands!
On the invoice, it shows (for the description of the product I ordered) as, "CSB Battery CP12120-F2).
I called the company to ask why they didn't send me what everything stated I was ordering. The first lady I talked to stated that this battery is better and it should fit where I am trying to use it. I let her know the although it may, it's not what I ordered. She tried three more times to get me to keep the battery. I held my ground. She transferred me to a supervisor who said the same thing all over again twice more.
I insisted on the CSB batteries that I thought I had ordered. The supervisor offered to send me a spec sheet so I could see the information for the battery. She said if I didn't like it after that, that they would be happy to let me return the batteries. But, they wouldn't be able to send me CSB batteries because they don't have any!
Why are they showing pictures of these other model batteries and NO pictures of the ones they are actually sending?
I have been in the business of repairing UPS's for over 10 years. I have tried most of the batteries that are on the market today. I only give my customers the best. I my experience that would be CSB batteries.
I decided it would be simpler to just keep these batteries. I'll try them. I explained this to the supervisor. I also let her know that I will not do business with them in the future.
Both of the ladies I spoke with were pleasant the whole time. The supervisor solicited my feedback and I let her know that up by the picture, they need to let people know they are not getting this actual battery. She said they will look at doing that.
Also of note is that they shipped the batteries in a flimsy cardboard box. The box was completely ripped open on one end and one of the batteries has a big dent in the corner.
If you don't mind receiving a compatible replacement battery of unknown quality, then Batterysharks.com may be a good place to do business with. Just be warned that you will most likely not get what you think you're paying for."
"I ordered replacement batteries for my scooter from www.batterysharks.com. I got really nice service and amazingly fast delivery. I had some questions about the replacement and the charging of the batteries and the customer service guys were really helpful. So pleasant to hear a human voice on the other side. I can recommend them to everybody! "
"I ordered a replacement battery @ 11:00 AM on Tuesday and it was sitting on my porch when I got home @ 3:30 PM the next day! And they didn't even charge me for shipping and they were the offered the best price I could find. I highly recommend this website!"
"I ordered some "Universal Battery" brand batteries from BatterySharks.com, and that's what I received, but I partially agree with the caution the other reviewer gives that you may not get the brand you expect. If you look at the product page for any given battery, the semi-fine print on the page does clearly state that you'll receive a compatible battery, and not necessarily that brand. I think the idea of letting them shop manufacturers to get the best deal is fine, and they do offer consistently the lowest prices, but they could do a better job of communicating that it is a *compatible* battery."
"Horrible seller! They DO NOT SEND the BRAND of battery that you order, but instead substitute whatever they want. For instance, if you order Panasonic batteries, your invoice and packing slip will show that you ordered Panasonic. But when you receive your shipment, it will have some inferior brand you've never heard of (Sigmas) that is worth MUCH LESS. It is nothing less than a CLASSIC BAIT-AND-SWITCH SCAM! If you call and request the correct brand of battery that you ordered, they will give you a bunch of crap and insist that they tell you they state that they reserve the right to "Ship Replacement Branded Batteries" on their website, which is a COMPLETE LIE. Stay away from these THIEVES unless you want your money taken for junk, substituted batteries. Go somewhere that is reputable, like NewEgg, DigiKey or Amazon. These people are CROOKS!!!"
A rep from BatterySharks.com, batterysharks, has responded:
“Dear Customer,
Thank you for your review. I apologize for the inconvenience this have caused you!
I would like to make a further clarification on how the search menu works on our website. I understand you have typed in your ups model, but even if you type in the exact name of the ups you will always get a list of results. It is the same as if you were going to type in your ups model name in the search page of google or yahoo. You would still need to go through your result pages and select what best suits you as name, model, dimensions.
I did a quick search with your UPS model on our website and here is what I got:
https://www.batterysharks.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=APC+Back-UPS+ES+350
You get a list with different model names that have ES350 in their titles. On the search page you can select from the various UPS models and verify if it is your ups and has the dimensions of your original battery. Furthermore, we always advise our clients to compare dimensions, volts and amps of their original battery to the battery we have listed as a compatible replacement on the website. In your case you have ordered the wrong ups model - ES BK350 (not your ES350), which consists of a different battery. We had the greatest desire to compensate you for your inconvenience and even though it was not our mistake we offered to send you the right replacement at a discounted shipping cost. We did everything possible to solve your issue.
Please, let us know if you have any further questions. We will be more than happy to assist you!

Natalie
