"I ordered a replacement battery for my Powerbook G4 on Aug 31, 2009. I live in Toronto. The battery arrived the very next day although it said 2 to 7 days. It works well and I am very happy with the price as well. Highly recommended seller."

"Awesome on-line order service! I ordered a Replacement Notebook Battery for Toshiba Satellite A100-151 10.8 Volt Li-ion Laptop Battery (4400 mAh). Price was $230.00 nw on Toshiba site but I got it from BattDepot.ca for $55.00 + $15.00 delivery. It was shipped across the country from Richmond BC to Moncton NB in 24 hrs! It came in a www.DrBattery.com box but same model# etc. Whatever the name, I am a happy customer! "

"I couldn't be more pleased with the service and prices from battdepot. My Dell Inspiron1505 battery was priced at $300 on their site for a replacement and this company offered it for less than 1/4 of the price. He had it in 2 days and it charged up to 100% in no time at all. Keep up the great work!"

"I needed a 9-cell battery for my Lenovo T500 laptop that I need to take on a two-month long international trip. I checked through several sites, found Battdepot prices to be comparable and competitive with several other sites, and decided to trust it after reading through its product verification, ordering, shipping and return policies.

I placed the order on the evening of May 14 (the item was shown to be "in-stock") and received an order confirmation soon thereafter (at 12:54 am, May 15). I had chosen UPS ground for the shipping method, so according to their policy I should have received the product between May 18 and May 25 (2 to 7 business days). On May 20, the order status still showed it to be "in process" and I had not been contacted by them at all about any delay or cause of delay. So I contacted them, with copies of the order confirmation, via e-mail. They readily claimed that they were "out of stock" on the battery I had ordered, that they just got the new shipment that was being tested by their technicians, and that it would soon be shipped out. I leave on May 30, so I might not even get the product before I leave, let alone by their own promised timeline (according to their stated policies). Furthermore, their policy clearly states (under "Help Desk" - "When will I receive my order?") that in the event an item is out of stock, they would contact the customer with such notification. Battdepot never contacted me. So, either they had the battery in stock and are now claiming it to have been out of stock to cover up their mistake (failure) in getting it shipped out on time, or they did not have the battery in stock (despite claiming it to be in stock and sending an order confirmation) and then failed to contact me about the product unavailability, as required by their own policy. After I pointed out the fallacy in their position (which they do not explicitly acknowledge), they are now stating that they would simply cancel the order and provide full refund, almost as though the "fullness" of refund – for a product that was not even delivered – is a mark of great customer service.

The problematic element here is that I needed that battery, and after one week following the order, Battdepot just began to notice their mistake (albeit without acknowledging it) and are now revoking the order altogether. They did not consider using express shipping to have the newly arrived battery delivered to me on time, which, by the way, would still have been feasible. In the process, they have left with me no easy way to get the product that I need for my trip and that I could have ordered from another vendor had I been told that it was out of stock or would be delayed at Battdepot. Would their CEO or customer service manager like to see his/her parent taken to an Emergency Room for a dire need, only to be told 7 days later by the ER management that they had to cancel his/her parent's admission into ER? This treatment of customers, after confirming a product and its delivery, is absolutely absurd.

It is interesting that the two "positive reviews" about Battdepot are very short and void of details. It is possible, of course, that they are genuine cases. In the end, each customer should make up his/her own mind. I know that I would not consider or recommend Battdepot to anyone for any purpose. My best guess is that this, like a number of enterprises out there, is a partial scam - a quick way of making money, by exploiting customers, hiding behind "policies" and laws when it serves them, and ignoring their own policies and the country’s laws when it would limit their scam-potential.

"I ordered 2 batteries for two friends, one battery each; one is for a HP tx1000 series and the other is for a HP dv6000 series. Both battery came as DOA. The dv6000 one came with its static bag cut from the buttom. When I charged both batteries, it does not hold consistent charge, even when I power cycle it. So after first charge, and when the batteries died, it wouldn't charge again. The battery for the TX model just wouldn't let the laptop power on when the battery is in the laptop. As for the dv6000, then I have the battery in the laptop and the AC is plugged in and when I take out the battery, the laptop would shutdown on me even when I have the AC plugged in.

So I requested for RMA. The lady on the phone told me that they only refund a max of $10 RMA shipping, so I was like....okay...that's still not bad considering other companies doesn't do that. My friend's wanted a refund so I asked for a refund. I RMAed it, it took them 2 weeks to test the batteries and it would have taken longer than 2 weeks after testing for me to get my refund back if I didn't keep calling in and emailing them. So it technically took 1 month for me to get a "partial" refund.

Original price I paid is $167.98 CAD. Refund I got back is $126.28 CAD. Ofcourse that does not include any shipping yet.
They took out 15% for restocking fee for DOA products. Even though I got an email back saying the technician said the batteries were good. I don't believe that crap, I think they got angry because I keep calling in and emailing them. But they were taking forever to refund my money. Well I can't argue with them about their test because I wouldn't know if they are lying or not. But anyways...so I'll let that go cause I have no choice.

Worst part is...they refunded my money to my paypal account. The thing is that my bank account is not linked with paypal and unfortunately for me, I was also having problem with my bank account and paypal. And also there was no option for me to request a cheque from Paypal (Which they use to have that option). I spend all day trying to get my bank account to link with paypal, so I had to close my bank account and open a new one. And crap, I just ordered a batch of new cheques, then my bank was giving me so much trouble to issue me a new batch with out any charge. And it was raining too I had to bus home at that time.

So....I lost about $60 including RMA shipping and other paypal fee. I was charged a small fee for the partial refund from BattDepot and wasted crap loads of time with their stupid DOA batteries.

So my recommendation to whoever is looking to get new batteries for their laptop(s) DO NOT buy from BattDepot.ca or BattDepot.com

You should let your friends and whoever know not to buy from them because their products are bad quality, besides, they are reseller and the batteries are not from them, it's from Dr. Battery if I recall right, it was on the box. Save your trouble and grief and pay just a bit extra to get the original batteries from OEM, as you can see that I've lost money and time dealing with BattDepot.

"I ordered a battery for my laptop using their "Quick Product Finder" the battery I received did not fit my laptop, I then tried to find the right battery doing a search with my original battery model number but the result was a battery with the wrong voltage.
So I sent then pictures of my original battery and they guessed wicht battery would work for my computer, they wanted me to confirm that it was the right battery using the tiny picture on their web site, I told them it was impossible for me to confirm.
I finally received a working battery, It took a long time, final cost was a lot more than expected.
Trying to find out the status of the order was very difficult since "My Account" was impossible to acess, I did ask them three times to fix it but it was never done, I don't really care anymore since I will never order from BattDepot again.

"BUYER BEWARE.

I purchased a replacement a/c adapter for my compaq presario notebook from BattDepot. After two days of having the cord, it was not charging my laptop. I tried to unplug it from my laptop and the cord separated completely from the plug, leaving the plug embedded in my laptop. I had to pull it out with a pair of pliers. It looks like a piece of the plastic tip of the plug is still in the laptop.

I have started their lengthy return process, we will see if I get my money back.

Paid: $22.99 for the cord, $10 for shipping, and they want me to pay again to ship it back to them. If I do that I spent as much on shipping as I did on the cord. The piece of crap cord that damaged my laptop.

I will edit this post when/if I get my money back.

"I ordered a laptop battery from this company last August. When it arrived I placed it in my laptop but it was very hard to get it in. I checked and rechecked to make sure it was the correct battery for my laptop. It was. I charged it up but the battery did not work. I tried several things, it would not work. I contacted the company and have had nothing but a hassle since.

They said they would check the battery once it was returned, and send a replacement if they found it was defective. I got such a run around that I told them I did not want a replacement battery, I wanted a refund. Then they started talking about a re-stocking fee. Many emails back and forth with one person saying I would get a refund, others saying I would not.

So, I waited and waited and did not hear from them. I finally emailed and asked if they had received the battery back. First they said no, which concerned me because it had been a couple weeks. I emailed again and they said, "Sorry about the delay.

Since our technicians went to a serveral weeks business trip, we have just finished testing your battery.

The refund will be provide to your payment account within 2-3 business days."

So, now it has been 5 business days, and no refund has been issued.

In the meantime I ordered the SAME battery from another company. That battery slipped in my laptop the way it was supposed to fit. Charged up and works fine. Same model/battery number as the other. I paid more for it, but it's worth it.

BattDepot has horrible customer service, they are located in Canada, so it's a hassle to return things and they have you lie on the declaration. I would not buy another thing from them and do not recommend this company at all.

I am not sure I will ever actually receive my refund almost $75.00.
