"Despite previous good experiences with Battdepot.ca, I would not purchase from them again. Ever. This time, I purchased a replacement battery for an HP EliteBook 8440p. Despite being listed as compatible with the notebook, the battery did not fit properly, preventing it from locking into place. It would fall off the laptop with the slightest motion. Although an RMA was issued relatively quickly, they wanted pictures of the battery showing how it didn't fit. I provided these. After sending the battery back with ALL requested documentation, I heard nothing. You can't reach anyone by phone and voice mails are ignored unless they included a threat to refer the matter to Visa. Emails elicit a canned response. Again, after threat of referring the matter to Visa, I finally received a transaction number that I could use to follow up with my bank. My bank advised me that these transactions can take up to two months before they appear on my Visa account. When the refund finally appeared on my account (almost 7 weeks after the return) they reimbursed only the purchase price of the battery and the tax. I'm still out of pocket for the shipping both ways which was almost 75% of the cost of the battery itself. When the product works, the price is great. When there is an issue, the experience is horrific. Are you feeling lucky?"

"Shopping for my laptop battery at BattDepot was the worst online shopping mistake that I have ever made. Providers like BattDepot are the very reason why people are apprehensive to shop online. I received my battery on time, however, the battery did not fit into my laptop as BattDepot said it would. Obviously, I wanted to return the product. This is when I ran into the answering machine that is BattDepot's customer service. I called approx. 15 times, leaving 6 messages. BattDepot got back to me at 10pm or later every time. What good does that do for me? Having this stupid useless product hanging over my head for a month, I finally called 6 times in one day in an effort to reach someone. Yes, I did get through, thankfully. Do yourselves a huge favor and go elsewhere for service."
