"The batteries I received by ordering a replacement for 484170-001 protrude from my laptop, making it sit a bit higher in the back. This is actually OK ergonomically, as long it is not a concern with regards to causing damage to my machine. I tried to access your list of HP pavillion models to cross reference with my part number, and could only get to the first of many pages. There were no identified warnings about protruding for my model number dv6-2064ca (2000 series). The batteries came very quickly, with no charge as I had ordered 3 for all 3 of our computers. The battery life is expected to be better than my original and the cost is less than half of what it would have been to order a replacement through Future Shop where I purchased the machines 2 1/2 years ago. In fact the salesman at Future Shop recommended that I try the internet for this purchase, as they have to charge so much for brand name replacements. If these batteries work as advertised, and don't cause any problem with our machines due to the "fit", then I will be satisfied with my purchase. It was much easier to figure out what to order ie lithium ion 10.8 volt after reading the very helpful information such as FAQ's, it might be useful to have some sort of banner attracting other first time users to this information before they type in their specific infrormation.
