"In 2010, I had surgery as a result of developing severe spinal stenosis. The surgery improved the quality of my life however, I experience dibilitating nerve damage from the stenosis that interfers with day-to-day living and especially my ability to sleep. I slept on a high quality mattress and would wake up on average 5 to 6 times a night with numbness in my arms, hands, legs and/or feet. I was resigned to the fact that I would not ever get a good night's rest again.

I started doing research on beds and mattresses and ended up purchasing a Leggett & Platt Prodigy adjustable bed and a Tranquility Gel with Natural Tencel Mattress online with a lot of apprehension. The reviews on the bed and the mattress were compelling and I was desperate for a sleeping remedy.

My order arrived in 2 days and was packaged perfectly. My husband helped assemble the bed and mattress which took very little time. I must say that it was fun watching the mattress expand within seconds of unpacking.

I have been sleeping on the bed for almost a week now. The "operative" word here is "sleeping." Not once have I awakended in the night due to numbness. The mattress alleviates the pressure points in my body that were targets on the conventional mattress. I feel so much better and instead of dragging around during the day, I am energized and able to accomplish tasks without feeling like everything is an effort.

In addition, I purchased 2 waterproof mattress covers from Bed in a Box. For any of you that suffer from spinal stenosis or other forms of physical nerve damage, you will understand the need to protect your mattress from "accidents." I was concerned that the covers would be hot or make noise and was pleasantly surprised to experience soft, comfortable coziness.

All in all, I am one happy customer. In fact, I am a raving fan of Bed in a Box! Their customer support center answered all of my questions and treated me with the utmost professionalism.
