"I have been ordering from Berger Brothers for a number of years and have helped others buy the right gear for themselves as well. I have never had a single complaint. Anytime an equipment problem came up both Brad and Dan went out of their way to make sure I and my friends were happy. This most recent purchase of a monitor was taken care of as quickly and painlessly as possible. Don't know why there are only 3 dashes up here, as I would have given them a full fill for my user rating. Can't get any better with this crew.

"OK – Background – I’ve been in the customer service business for 25 years. My company manufactures, installs and services equipment for large commercial businesses (national accounts) and they do NOT suffer fools lightly. This web site seems to have it right. I originally attempted to order a camera through Broadway Photo and was sorely disappointed. I checked the ratings for them here and saw absolutely atrocious ratings. I canceled my order with them after considering Berger Bros. based on these ratings. I was NOT disappointed at all. I placed the order (Sony a300 DSLR) on-line and noticed the “$10.00 off over $100.00 purchase” banner but no $10.00 off on the price after placing the order. I wrote them an e-mail asking if I was getting scammed (this was around 11 pm). About 9 the next morning I got a call from the lovely and gracious Lisa who is about as down to earth as it gets and assured me her store is a scam free zone. She tried to apply the $10.00 credit manually but was reminded about Sony’s pricing policy (she’ll be glad to chat with you about that) so to make up for it she said she’d throw in a $16.00 LCD cover. OK, fair enough. We’ll see. Order came in today the 11th 3 days after placing the order. Lisa assured me none of her stock is shipped out other than factory new US warranty unless clearly stated and agreed on before the order is placed. Camera came in factory new, works like a Swiss watch. The LCD cover is the Sony cover not a knock off. Card was charged exactly as agreed on. Being a smaller reseller I can see why their web site is a bit clunky but I will absolutely consider Berger Bros. for my on line purchases from now on."

"I have just received a Leica Vario Elmar 14-150 lens that I ordered from Berger Brothers less than 24 hours ago, after closing time. Not only did they have the lens in stock when other major vendors did not, but the owner of the company, Brad Berger, picked up the phone and personally checked to be sure the lens was in his hand before promising a delivery date. After the order was complete he asked me to call him personally if there were any problems whatsoever. He then got the lens packed for UPS before the last pickup so it could get to Boston overnight. The price was competitive, and the lens arrived in perfect condition. I have to say I'm blown away by Berger Brother's service. They are a great company and the kind of place I like to support."
"Berger Bros. camera is AWESOME. They are extremely friendly and helpful, which is a rarity in the East Coast camera business (sorry East Coasters, but you know this is true).
Aside from the ease of ordering from them, they've saved my bacon in a more specific sense: My Nikon D3 needed warranty work, but I'd lost my receipt, and Nikon was threatening to disallow the warranty and charge me for the repairs. A quick phone call to Lisa at Berger Bros resulted in a faxed COPY of my invoice within minutes.
She saved me a $311 repair. I will continue to shop there and to refer all of my photographer friends and colleagues there.

"I don't usually write reviews but..in this case I figured these guys deserve it. For years I have ordered photo equipment online and sometimes I get good service and sometimes not as good. Needed a new Nikon 24-70 lens and I emailed aquestion regarding warantee. Promptly Lisa replied with an answer for me. Few weeks later I placed my order and selected the free shipping. At most places this means don't sit by the window waiting for the UPS truck but I still received my lens the next day. Another important note is the way Berger packed the lens. They did so in such a way as to protect the item which often seems like a secondary concern for many of the online retailers. Final note is that even though I spoke with Dan at Berger after placing the order the expected question of do I need anything else right now was completley respected after I responded that I did not need any additional items right now. No high pressure."

"Actually I came to the Resellerratings.com website to check on another merchant because Berger Brothers doesn't handle the item I was looking for. I purchased a DSLR camera from them in March along with various assorted extra goodies. The price was quite good, but the service (from a young lady named Lisa) was outstanding. Everything was checked to be sure it was in stock before we finished placing the order (I called because I had questions.) Several members of a photography forum I am on recommended BB highly, so I gave them a shot. I can say that I join that chorus of positive comments. Once again you are "da bomb" in terms of exceeding all of my expectations as regards my deadly "Nikon Acqiusition Syndrome". We spoke on Suynday and the camera arrived on Wenesday! I will continue to sing your praises whenever I get the opportunity. As a professional photographer reliability, support and customer service are extremely important to me. You have fulfilled that role in spades for a number of years now. I've dealt with all the big names around and a couple of the big box stores as well. None of them compare to your level of support. None.

Update - 07/03/10 - Simply and consistently the best. I called Brad Berger looking for a lens I couldn't find anywhere (Nikon 200mm f4 micro) and needed quickly due to impending travel. Had the lens within 5 days.
