"I am a delighted customer!! Based upon highly favorable ratings on this site and others, I decided to pay a little more and go with BestPriceAudioVideo. I called them today and placed my order for two cameras. They were able to deal with a special request, their price on blank tapes was the best I've seen anywhere (retail or online), and shipping costs for next day air ($38 for my order) were also far cheaper than any competitor, less than half the price of several others (one wanted $119!!). What I saved on the tapes and shipping made up for the slightly higher cost of the cameras!!
Not only was there NO push to sell accessories, they actually turned down my offer to buy some! First, they were stocked out of spare batteries and are not expecting more soon, so the salesman suggested another source rather than let me possibly be dissatisfied by waiting several weeks! Then I asked his opinion on buying spare memory cards and he suggested that I wait to use the cameras as in most cases he feels that people are happy with the supplied 8MB card.
I just placed the order today so I am thrilled without even having received the cameras. I will come back and modify the comments and ratings after I actually receive the camera. But I had to get this positive comment in now for any of you who are making a final decision for Christmas presents.
UPDATE: The order was received yesterday, a day SOONER than promised! The tracking information from Airborne Express shows that they picked up the items (which included a special request as well as overnight shipping) less than 3 hours after my order!!! Everything was packed well, complete, US product (not gray import), etc.
All I can say is WOW! If they have the item you want, buy it from them!! Only one minor complaint: Because of my special request, I wanted to place my order by phone rather than web site. I was expecting a long wait, but was disappointed that their 800 number cut me off a couple of times. I almost tried somebody else. But I hung in there, tried again, connected, the phone was answered within 2 minutes, and the saleman was a delight to deal with. I'm SO glad that I didn't give up!!!"

"My experience with BestPriceAudioVideo.com (BPAV.com) fell far short of the company's current 10.0 rating. We purchased an Olympus C4000 Zoom digital camera from BPAV.com. The price for the camera was decent. The web site was easy to navigate. The automated purchasing process went off without a hitch. Prior to the purchase, my e-mails concerning how products were packaged for shipment were responded to in a very timely manner. I was informed that "In the case of the camera, the box would be put into another box filled with
Styrofoam peanuts and then shipped". The camera arrived safely and has been a joy to use. However, we are fortunate that the camera worked at all. The camera and several accessories were packed in a box that was not much larger than the contents, themselves. The top and bottom lids of the shipping carton bulged out and were kept in place by several layers of packing tape. There was a bare minimum of styrofoam peanuts in the box. When you moved the package, you could hear and feel the contents slide back an forth. The sealed retail box in which the camera came from the factory was packed against the top of the shipping carton with no styrofoam peanuts between the box and the carton. BPAV.com charged me $39.68 for shipping and handling costs for 2nd day air via Airborne Express. According to the rate chart at Airborne's web site, the cost of 2nd day air for the 1 pound package from BPAV.com to my home in Lafayette, LA is $10.44. Given the pathetic packaging job by BPAV.com, what did I pay the additional $28.24 for? Due to their callous disregard for the protection of the items that I purchased and their outrageous charges for shipping and handling, I will not be a return customer. I cannot recommend BestPriceAudioVideo.com. "
