"BizChair is a division of Belnick Inc. Belnick Inc manufactures chairs; however, BizChair.com offers numerous other office and household pieces which are made and stocked by various other manufactuers. Businesses use third-party manufacturers all the time, but mostly still stock everything in their own warehouses. Not BizChair. My advice to future buyers is to stick with the chairs because BizChair/Belnick has zero control over the other items they feature which will result in nothing but disappointment. Read on for my specific story.

I ordered a table online during Thanksgiving 2012 and the website clearly indicated "this item normally ships with 7-10 business days." I was charged immediately and it was only after BizChair received my funds that they sent an email stating the table was backordered until 03/04/2013. Little did I know at the time, BizChair does not manufacture anything aside from their chairs. Unless they constantly get updates from all their third-party manufacturers/vendors, their website will always have grossly understated shipping timeframes. Although upset by the delay, I really wanted the table at the price I paid so I decided to wait. March 4th comes around and nothing happens. I called BizChair for an update and was told the shipping date was pushed until the end of April - no specific date was given this time so I had my uncertainties. April passes and I have to again call BizChair for an update. This time I am told the table will absolutely be in stock by 05/16/2013. Again, I really wanted the table so I continue to wait.

Meanwhile, I have moved since the order date and informed BizChair both in writing and by phone of my new shipping address. Lo and behold, the delivery company does call me shortly after 05/16/2013 to arrange a delivery date of 05/30/2013. Today, the delivery company calls me and says they are presently outside of my OLD address with my table. BizChair failed to update the shipper with my updated shipping address! I couldn't contact the shipper myself because BizChair never told me who they were. Thankfully, I did not move far so the delivery has been pushed back only one more day.

So that is merely an account of my experience with BizChair's customer service. Let's see if the table I receive is actually as pictured and undamaged. If not, six months of waiting has given me a lot of time to think about reacting accordingly.


Update 05/31/2013:
Well, I don't have a table. The freight company refused to deliver my table into my home because I live on the 5th floor of a condominium and their insurance doesn't cover in-home delivery. They actually wanted to leave the 7' long crate outside of the building and leave it to me, a 115lb girl, to carry it up by myself. I don't think so. What kind of home and office furniture supplier doesn't offer in-home delivery? The crate never left the truck - it's not that I refused to accept it, they refused to deliver it. Ridiculous!

Side note: I discovered the table was manufactured in China. That may explain the delay, but it does not explain the lack of communication.

"Extremely disappointed. Ordered a Bush cabinet. Back panel was cracked and edges were chipped. Contacted customer service at Bizchair and was asked if I asked the delivery driver to wait while I unpackaged the pieces to inspect. I responded I did not ask the Fed Ex driver to wait. Customer service responded this was now my problem. I told her that was unreasonable to ask the delivery driver to wait. She forwarded my message to another department. It has now been two weeks. I can return the cabinet and pay the return freight plus a 20% restocking fee. Why would I pay to restock a damaged item? They will replace the panel for free but if this is the quality they are selling why would I want to keep it. They are blaming the restocking free and return freight on the manufacturer. Not sure what this has to do with the manufacturer as I bought it from Bizchair not Bush. Would not recommend Bizchair."

"THIS ORDER WAS FOR FURNITURE TO REPLACE "SANDY" DAMAGED FURNITURE. IT WAS SHIPPED TO A LOCATION NEAR THE FERRY DOCK THAT WILL TAKE IT TO THE TOWN WHERE MY HOUSE IS WHEN THE FERRY COMPANY HAS LIMITED SERVICE AT THE MOMENT, BUT WHEN THEY HAVE REBUILT THE BUILDING THAT HOLDS THE FREIGHT THIS FURNITURE WILL BE SENT TO MY HOME. "Table delivered has an imperfect top. It is severly blemished!!! I have no idea if BIZCHAIR will send new top or will I have to go to proper authorities to get satisfaction.NOT DAMAGED IN SHIPPING! THE TOP HAS A SEVERE IMPERFECTION AND NEVER NEVER SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE SUPPLIER!DO NOT TRY AND BLAME SHIPPER!!!!!!"
