"On Friday, Feb 24, I ordered a 'guaranteed' birthday delivery for Saturday, Feb 25 and three days later, received absolute rubbish.
Bloomex is closed on Sunday so I called on the next business day, Monday, Feb 27. Because the flowers still hadn't arrived and the birthday had already passed, I asked them to cancel the order and issue a refund. That's when I was told the order was in transit. I did not receive an email indicating that the order was in transit. The status changed suddenly when I asked for a refund.
Before the order was accepted, someone from Bloomex contacted me by phone to confirm the delivery address, which would have been the perfect time to let me know that the delivery would not be delivered on time (despite the "guaranteed birthday delivery" promised on their website). I would have immediately cancelled the order. Instead, the information was withheld.
The flowers were delivered three days late, on Feb 28. What was ordered (Blue Horizons "supersize" — the website show eight roses, star gazer lilies, irises, premium fillers) was a far cry from what was received (four roses, a shabby batch of badly-dyed carnations and cheap filler). There is nothing on the website suggesting that "fair and appropriate substitions" in their most extravagant pricing option would result in fewer flowers and trashy ones at that. Neither does the website mention that specials will not be honoured outside of their "local" delivery zones (again, no indication of said zones). Though far less of an issue, but just as misleading, they charged $10 for "authentic Scottish shortbread" that turned out to be two very thin cookies.
It took five attempts before I received any response from Bloomex and they refused to refund my money, instead offering credit that I would presumably use for more bad service and rubbish flowers at some future date.
PLEASE NOTE Bloomex "buys" ratings by offering a $20 credit for positive reviews."
"BLOOMEX.CA is so bad. I had place an order for flowers weeks in advance for Valentines Day. The flowers has been delivered to this day. I contacted Customer Service and they said the driver attempted to call and no one answered as well he said the recipient name was not on the building list. Both are not true. Anyhow to this day no flowers and no refund as they said they tried to deliver. Also Customer service is the worst. I was on the the chat same day with Densel as to why the flowers did not get delivered and he just made a mockery of the whole thing and left the chat room after i complained that the flowers were not delivered and i wanted a refund. He said no refund then i explained that the service was unacceptable and ask for a refund again. He replied sure thing and left the chat room with no confirmation number or anything. Next day i called them and complained and they said they would call back within 24 hrs. No phone call yet. No refund. No flowers. I would stay away from them. Guaranteed flower delivery is not guaranteed.

"I ordered 80 roses for my mother for her 80th birthday. 12 roses arrived and I spent the day on the phone trying to arrange for the other six dozen to be sent. The customer service reps, and then a manager, gave me every excuse in the book including that it was a courier issue when it clearly was not. They also asked me to prove my mother had only received 12 roses! When the rest finally arrived that evening, after many phone calls, the roses were all red instead of a variety of colors, like the first 12. A botched job from start to finish. Very disappointing. "
"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM. THEY ACTUALLY SAY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THEIR #1 PRIORITY BUT IT COULD NOT BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. SCAM
On Dec 16/22 we ordered a Xmas bouquet for my Mother-In-Law. When it was delivered, the flowers were dead (frozen) and she promptly threw them out (likely embarrassed). She is an 87 yo women living in a Senior's Assisted Living facility in another province. She has neither a cell, nor an email account. We contacted the company via their online customer service 'chat' text line and were told that a credit is only issued when proof of damage etc. is submitted via a cell phone pic. We advised that she doesn't have one and were put on 'hold' (one moment please) by 3 different agents who dropped the chat and erased the chat history. We called and were advised that was their policy. Asked for a supervisor manager and told that they don't have supervisors or managers. Finally got credit (no refunds) for partial payment. When we called again, we were told that the $15 delivery fee could not be reimbursed because the delivery was made - DEAD??? Fought that and got the full credit however was told when I tried to order that the credit could not be placed against ANOTHER delivery fee. So we ended up ordering a basket and 'supersizing' it to get the full credit and then paying another delivery fee and taxes. Forwarded it to my sister-in-law so she could assess the contents and take pics - 12 items, no supersize and definitely not worth the credited amount.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. IT IS A SCAM.

"this appears to be a total scam of a company. I ordered flowers and they changed the delivery date 2 times. finally they stopped responding to emails. I then disputed the charge with VISA and this scam company literally sent a FAKE photo claiming they delivered the flowers. "
"I spent $175.00 on an upgraded wine/cheese board basket which was supposed to have cheeses, crackers, dips, cookies, sparkling juice etc.
I also ordered a Christmas plant/Poinsietta combo plant
Both arrived over a week late, the basket was just boxes of cheap garbage cookies, none of the upgraded items I selected which were $8.00 each btw & no cheese board or anything. The plant arrived a few days later all smashed & withered.
When I called the person can barely speak English & told me their policy is they can't guarantee any date for delivery, can't guarantee honoring any upgrade requests & can't guarantee arrival of fresh plants.
Why on earth would anybody do business with this place unless they hadn't read reviews like myself.
Be warned, this company is a complete & total scammer. Steal your money & deliver garbage."
"First time customer, I ordered 3 arrangements, added them to my cart and paid, they were to go to 3 different people. Only allowed 1 delivery. I have spent the past 3 days trying to get my money back. The online chat bot askes you to hold then disconnects because it thinks you left the computer. Had to call 4 times before I could reach anyone, Nina refused to pass me to a manager. They have put my order on hold, for a store credit. I don't want a credit, I want my money back. I went elsewhere to send the 3 arrangements, a store credit is useless to me, as I will never use this company again. They have my $156 and refuse to issue a refund. I have never been provided with a receipt. What is wrong with a company that doesn't provide the service yet refuses to refund the transaction? Should this not be against the law somewhere?"
"Last Christmas I ordered flowers for my aunt and my cousin, both at the same address. The prices were great. But the day of the delivery I got notification of two charges going through. When I signed into my account I saw they were processing a second duplicate order. I called them immediately and pointed out their error and told them to cancel the second duplicate order. But no, they went ahead and delivered a second exact same order to my aunt and cousin, and charged me a second charge, then refused to refund me for the duplicate order. I had to go so far as having my bank reverse the charges on the duplicate order. I've never seen such terrible customer service in my life."
"I have ordered from Bloomex in the past and was very happy with the service, so I thought I would use this company again. It was not such a good experience this time around. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my Aunte who lives in a seniors complex. I gave the sales agent her address her suite number and her phone number for the delivery. I was told when the flowers were delivered I would be notified that the flowers were delevered. Well needles to say I was never notified so I got a hold of bloomex and they proceeded to give me a tracking number to the delivery company. I looked up the number and the floweres were left at door . My aunte was never contacted to let her know that there was a delivery at the door. So I called her to let her know they were left at the door. She opend the door and no flowers. She had to walk all the way to the elevator take it down to the lobby and she found the flowers left by the mail boxes outside the main doors. My aunte is 94 years old does not walk well. The courier never notified her never took it up and left it at her door . Contactless does not mean take a picture and leave a dilivery in a lobby. I am very upset will probably go with a local florist in future."
"Item did not arrive and would not resend item the next day or provide a refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"
"A friend sent me a poinsettia plant for Christmas. I was told to expect a phone call and then a delivery. I never received the phone call and when I returned to my apartment (I don't know how the delivery person got into my building, but they did), the flowers were sitting outside my door. I took the plant inside and opened the cellophane wrapping. Two of the stems were broken and falling over. My guess is that the plant must have fallen over in the delivery vehicle and the driver never checked it. The cellophane held the plant up but it was to no avail. The plant was broken. All that remains is one flower/one stem. I contacted my friend who sent them and she feels terrible. Bloomex refused to give her a refund, nor did they offer me a new plant. Worst experience with floral delivery ever!"
"I ordered the flowers on Monday to be delivered on Tuesday. After not hearing from them, I called and said they would find out what happened. After I called and send messages many times they said I would get the flowers on Wednesday. The event was on Tuesday and after many calls they said they would reimburse the delivery charge. Instead, they gave a discount for the next purchased :(
The card looked like a commercial a commercial add. I don't consider this company reliable."
"I have ordered sympathy white and blue flowers. The ones which were delivered were white , blue and yellow and sympathy card was not attached. I was very disappointed. When I contacted the company
I was told that their policies allow substitute .
Be careful! I will never order from them again."
"I ordered flowers for my sister for comfort on the anniversary of her son's death. She wasn't home when Moh tried to deliver them so he called. She said she was only four blocks away ... could he possibly try to deliver them to her there. He couldn't be satisfied with saying no, but actually started yelling at her. I tried to have them delivered to her after she was home work the next day and they wouldn't guarantee that the flowers wouldn't be delivered early so I had to have them delivered to me so I could take them to her later.
Not only was this a terrible experience for both of us, but the flowers are very wilted ... perhaps Moh left them in his car overnight. They are not nice at all.
I will NEVER deal with Bloomex again ... NEVER. :("
"Gorgeous fresh flowers delivered right on time and for a great price."
