Excellent- Love my Rolex from Bob’s Watches

"Sold my used Rolex Datejust for $3500 and used the credit to buy a certified pre-owned Rolex Submariner. Max made the transaction fast and easy. Mens watch turned out unisex and sized for a female

"Purchased my first watch through them. I was very excited. I have small wrists and my watch was really tight. I figured something had to be wrong. Their site states men's are sized to at least 7 1/4 inch. Turns out mine is sized to 6 1/2 and I have already worn it. So I can't return. Since I filtered by men's only I can only imagine someone mislabeled mine when adding the inventory (filter is searchable by mens, women, unisex). If I filter by mens I expect to see mens only watches and sized accordingly. **** not feeling good about my first watch, especially considering the price tag. Now I'll need to go spend about $200 on additional links. I probably wouldn't feel as bad about my purchase if they had offered me the additional link or two for free. Can't say I won't ever order from them again. Just make sure to read all the details in the listing. If I had known more about watches I probably would have caught that the watch was unisex. Lesson learned. "

Bait and Switch

"I sent pictures of two Rolex watches and paper work. “Panda” sent email with bid on watches. I agreed to offer. My Son was going to be vacationing in Pelican Hill, I sent him with watches. The next day he visits Bobs in Newport. Panda not available. The new representative says original offer “ only the highest possible amount”. They start deducting for everything under the Sun. Now offer is $1,300.00 less. I am so glad I did not waste my time FedExing watches to them. I had heard similar stories of the bait and switch routine from people in Dallas. Thought had nothing to loss since Son would be going through there.
I told my Son to get my watches and run!

Quality Assurance Issues - Caveat Emptor

"My experience with Bob's Watches was mediocre at best. Their pricing on pre-owned watches was substantially higher than, say, purchasing from a trusted seller on a watch forum. I justified the additional cost by assuming that a company who makes their name on selling high-quality pre-owned Rolexes wouldn't let something substandard out the door. Big mistake.

My watch -- an Explorer II 216570 -- did arrive quickly and safely, but unfortunately the crystal had been replaced (not disclosed) and was installed off-kilter. The cyclops date lens was closer to 4:00 than 3:00. Aside from making me wonder what happened to the watch to require crystal replacement, the fact that such a glaring error made it past whatever quality assurance they have in-house makes me question the watch entirely. I know it happens, but I'm not buying a toaster here. This is an expensive luxury item, and I expect it to be right.

When contacted, their solution was to send it back for a crystal replacement and wait however long to get it back.

No thanks -- I'll return it for a refund and be patient, keeping my eye out on the forums for a truly good deal. Worst-case scenario, a brand-spanking new one is less than $1000 more from an Authorized Dealer. Not chump change, but I'm feeling more and more worthwhile for the piece of mind alone.

"I was a little concerned about the Rolex sold to me but after having it checked out by two different Authorized Rolex Service centers, it is real. If you are looking for a used (or even new) Rolex at a discounted rate I would suggest going here."

"Sold my old Rolex Submariner to them and bought a very nice Day-Date for my wife. Both the selling and buying process was extremely easy. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after reading about their business online, decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. Called them and spoke to Joe and Victoria. They gave me a fair quote for my watch and had Fedex show up to my house to pick up the watch. I got the money the next day!

As for the buying process, it was much simpler. I did everything through their website online and again, got my new Rolex the day after! I didn't think buying and selling something so expensive would be this easy. Very impressive.

"I entered into this transaction a skeptic. Why would I send a watch that was worth $6,200 from New Hampshire to California with no assurance that it was going to result in my getting paid with no hassle except for a bunch of emails and a couple of phone calls? My wife thought I was nuts. What followed was perhaps the best online experience I ever had. They did exactly what they promised. The offer came, the prepaid box came, the offer was confirmed and the watch was as described and the check came in the mail for exactly what they said they would pay for it. I can not say enough positive things about Bob's Watches and the way this entire transaction went down. I rarely write reviews, but this experience compelled me to express my thoughts. It takes trust to send an expensive watch away in this manner, you can trust Bob's Watches. AAAAA+++++ "

"I just hung up from a very distressing conversation with Joe at Bob's watches. After I sent them all of the information about my Rolex, including model number and pictures, they offered me $2000 for my watch. I also picked out another watch to buy from them at an additional $1290. I asked for the instructions to wire them the money. After three more phone calls over three days, and three emails, I was told that they couldn't buy my watch for $2000, they could only offer $1300. My watch is coming back home at their expense.

I would caution anyone about doing business with them.

"A while back, my fiance and I walked into a Rolex dealer and she tried on a watch. It was a nice experience but just a daydream. We're both extremely hard working but a $7,000 watch is a bit much for us.
Over the next month, I secretly searched the internet for that watch whenever I had some spare time. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I found that Bob's Watches was selling a used but unworn version of the watch my fiance had tried on, down to the colour of the dial, bezel and bracelet type. The price: $4,500. I knew this would be the perfect wedding gift for her.

October 1st: we contact Bob's Watches and place our order. We tell them that payment will be made via wire transfer on Oct 6th. I work 12 hour days and the fiance was going on a work trip so this was the earliest opportunity to get to the bank. They confirm that this will not be a problem and they would hold the watch for us.

October 4th (two days before the deadline for payment): we receive an email from them saying the order has been cancelled. When we call them to find out what happened, they inform us that the watch has been sold to someone else. I receive a quick apology and an offer for a $200 discount if we decide to buy a different watch from them. But they don't have that same watch in stock, and even if they did, it would be highly unlikely that the watch would be an unworn version. My fiance will not be receiving her dream watch for a wedding gift.

TL;DR: My fiance couldn't receive her dream watch as a wedding gift from me because Bob's Watches sold the watch we ordered to someone else.

"Really had a disastatourous experience with Bob watches. I ordered a Rolex Gmt Master 1675 Pepsi Bezel. Wired the money from Dubai on 29th Aug 2014. It's now 12th Sep 2014, I sent them all the proofs of the wire but they are denying that they have received the funds. I have sent them the receipt as well as the Swift of the fund transfer but to no avail. Called their customer service & had a very poor experience. Especially one of their accounts guy who is very rude & arrogant. Sent them mail many times but they hardly respond. I believe I have been cheated. Please beware of this site!!! "

"Cannot opine as to their product delivery but you should be aware they ask you to send a copy of your drivers license in the clear via email even though your credit card company approves the transaction. Having your DOB, address, and license number out there is an invitation for identity theft! Plus, who knows if Bob's Watches retains paper copies too. Too risky. They say they are reversing the charges. "

"Great experience - was a bit concerned at first, buying such an expensive item over the internet, and there weren't a lot of reviews. Looked on Google street views & it seems to be a pawn shop, but they have a great BBB rating. They overnighted the Rolex & I just had it checked out by the NYC Rolex Service Center. Rolex verified the watch and the replacement value was almost double what I paid. Couldn't be happier!"

"When I first contacted Bobs watches to sell 3 of my Rolexes, I was very concerned about sending several thousand dollars in watches into another state without knowing anything about the company. After investigating the company, I became somewhat more comfortable. After dealing with them, I can recommend them highly. They were very up front with the evaluation process. I figured they would nickel and dime me on the evaluation, but they did not. I sold Bobs Watches the three watches and additionally bought one from them. It was fair and after we agreed on the value of the transaction they sent a check, along with the watch I purchased, FeEx Saturday delivery. Great company!"

"OK, so I decided to search for a pre-owned White Gold, leather strap Daytona. I am a British Expat living in Dubai and saw a new one here which I loved so I started surfing the web. Out of all the models I saw, the one offered by Bobs watches appeared the best value. Then the slight paranoia set in " how could I be certain of receiving the merchandise after wiring my USD 14,000". I phoned Bobs and spoke to Victoria who did her best to make me feel more confident of the desired outcome. Last Friday I wired the funds from my UK bank account and on the Monday I received an email from Bobs advising that the watch was being collected by Fedex and providing me with the tracking number. I tracked the shipment on line and this morning, Wednesday, the watch was delivered to my door in Dubai and I am more than pleased with my purchase. I would certainly use Bobs again as the experience was effortless and the process extremely efficient. They have one very satisfied customer here!"
