"When I placed the order for the 400 5.6 I took note of the included items. Two in particular helped me with my choice of this lens.. the lens bag and UV filter.. the bag being the most important as I had my own lens and would be changing lenses out. The filter would just an added level of comfort since it offered protection of the rented lens.

Upon receiving the lens I found it had neither the UV filter nor the bag. I contacted borrowlenses and explained the situation. I was told that it sometimes comes with the UV filter and sometimes with the bag. The person I spoke with pulled up the site and confirmed that it did show the bag being included but again stated that it usually does not get included. I stated then that it should state that or it should be removed from included items. He advised that the description would get addressed.

At this point, knowing the shooting conditions that lay ahead (at least a foot of snow in Yosemite), I would not be comfortable carrying the lens without having a same place to put it when shooting with my wider lens. I attempted to contact a few friends and a couple neighbors to find something suitable to house the lens safely under the snowy conditions when it was not in use but I could not find any. I decided then I would not be taking it. I emailed and asked for a partial credit but was refused any sort of compensation. The person I emailed said the site did not show a bag, but this was after I had pointed it out to the other rep who stated the description would be addressed so it was obviously corrected after the fact.

Seeing as I did not get to take the lens on the trip due to the lack of included accessories advertised, or use the lens at all for that matter, I feel they should have made some type of compensation when requested as I could have asked for a full refund.
